Hi everyone. Just a reminder that there’s no PLAYSTATION Store update today, but the Store remains open for business. As announced last week, Warhawk is still on promotion for $29.99 (regular price $39.99). We’re working hard on getting the revamped Store up and running. Yes, it was Sony Computer Entertainment UK boss Ray Maguire that said that in game communication will come in the firmware 2.4 in the summer so don’t flame the guy.
Anyway on topic… I really can’t wait for the new store and to download the online beta of MGS4 :D. I really love my PS3, the evolution of the PS3 is so quickly with many changes. The other console have slow changes or minor changes.

It is possible to add a future so the PS3 automatic search for PSN updates and download new all new content from the catogery i have chose?
i see that the store will require an update… does this mean the highly anticipated 2.40 will come out with in-game chat and/or in-game music?

I don’t think the update 2.4 will be the next one now in the 17. i think will be a 2.25 or maybe a 2.3 but not that big to a 2.4
i would say 2.3 since they only put fixes in .01

Well yeah but from 2.17 to 2.2 they add the blue ray live, the dvd resume, change the sound in remote play and in the browser save target. But I’m with you anyway it will be 2.3…
ok let’s see.. by any chance public beta of Home with the firmware or in-game? or XMB in-game/in-PSstore and also Home gone get the PS Store? or maybe you just press the PS button and you can go there? keep the good work and fix the online … I’m stick with you people so make it worth it :D and .. the new PS Store region free? please answer

My god people, if it’s not one thing it’s another, I can’t help but laugh when I read the occasional post that bumps on the suggestions that we need in game xmb etc(music,texting) etc… not because it’s ridiculous, because it’s not, I agree we need those things, I laugh when they persist to request additional things, while they may be great ideas for the future, stop trying to bash ‘something different’ into Sony’s plans, as soon as you hear that Sony is paying mind to the issues at hand, I can’t wait, at this rate we’ll be hearing things like, “Can we get a patch that auto-does everything for us, I’m sick of moving my hand up to pick up my controller to plug away at a difficult game!”…
Anyway I just want to say that I’m one of the few hardcore Sony fans, that spent 2007 between loving and hating the company’s choices, but am happy to say that after all is said and done, I wouldn’t have it any other way…
The PSN ‘full game’ downloads are brilliant and I hope more 1st/3rd party devs start to recognize this, as it’s a great way to skip the middle men, (EB Games, GameStops, Resellers, etc.) The leechers of the industry in my opinion, I think it will be many years before brick&mortar are cut from the equation, but this is a step in the right direction, as both software downloaded/installed on hard drive, saves time/money/travel/shipping/ and ultimately my favorite benefit ‘system lens wear’
Not that it really needs mention atm, but I feel I should put my two cents in…
It’s easy to sit back and try to perceive 2007 as a disaster for our favorite company, if all you’re doing is scratching the surface, but if you dig a little deeper you’ll find that Sony has seperated their fanbase into mature/immature, and made it easier to find great people to game with, Also they’ve opened so many gateways for entertainment opportunities, that it’s almost astounding thinking about the future of this console, and having those expectations/predictions completely outdone, by what ultimately ends up coming to light.
A few things I’d like to see in the future… but am not going to try force feeding them to you(@ Sony).
Great TV shows the likes of (LOST, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Torchwood, jPod, etc) offered through the network as low priced downloads.
Music Downloads, even if they’re related to Games or not, like HAZE-Korn single for a dollar or two… or some Final Fantasy soundtracks, movie Soundtracks, etc, whatever really.
Sony keep up the great work, I’m glad I hung in there for what seemed like a painful year at times, you guys rock, and forgive me for doubting at times, you’ve really come through on a lot of promises, and even more things that weren’t promised.
Is this update going to also fix the problem that some of us are having inputting our debit card info? The “card information is invalid etc” thing. It’s nice that it gives you that error yet a $1 hold is put on your card.

What’s the deal with the pricing for the Canadian PS Store? Warhawk is $32.99 when it’s being advertised as $29.99 everywhere else. I realize this must be due to exchange rates, but the Canadian dollar is basically that same as the US dollar, so what gives? I’d just like some clarification.

Could you please tell me (to the best of your knowledge) if future store visual improvements are likely to cause the store content updates to be delayed for a couple of weeks – as the case is now, or will it be more streamlined?
The new store uses the firmware to load, where the old one was a web site that could be updated server side with very little impact to us.

How about helping those of us without credit cards out and making it possible for us to link our wallet to our bank account (similar to the way PayPal works)…I know there are going to be cards available, but I work overseas and the chance of me finding them in the store are going to be very minimal

will there be a way to delete games or demos from my download list that i don’t play or use anymore? i would think that would be a nice feature.
So when will we be able to use our own custom avatars for the psn? I mean it doesnt seem like that would take some sort of advanced technology. Frankly the selection right now is pretty lame.

When will PlayStation store be available in Bermuda? There are a lot of people in Bermuda with a lot of money who want to spend money on PlayStation store, but we cannot as we need to have a US credit card. This should be a quick and easy fix for Sony I am sure?
