I’ve been using the Japanese PSN store and noticed that almost every game has “PICTURES” in the description area for each game.
Why does the American store not get pictures? WE only get text and I find it perplexing.
Truth be told, PAIN friggin’ RULES! If you haven’t bought it yet, you’re doing yourself an extreme injustice, $10 is almost too little for a game of this calibur, I say almost because while the game is designed most definitely as a standalone title, from the engine/general mechanics, to the execution/innovative fresh gameplay, to the extent… alone it should have been a blu-ray game, it does contain only one map as far as I’ve seen so far, but a greatly detailed, lush, packed, enormous level it is, and it doesn’t get boring, there’s always something crazy around the next corner, sign, KO’ed person, vehicle you just launched off the road with your character’s head etc… from things graffiti’ed on the wall, to pictures in some of the more hard to get to buildings, once you crash through a pane of glass… This map is huge, and undoubtedly they’ll be adding more layouts at a later date, at $10 you’re getting a whole lotta’ game, and no self respecting hardcore gamer should be without this, and new gamers/casual gamers, who enjoy a little potty humor alonside their sadistic/dark humor/other forms of comedy/mature entertainment, retains it’s significance, I’m flustered, I just came from playing the game, and am typing too fast, I want to go back to it, so much stuff to unlock, So much sadistic fun to be had, Idol Minds… you guys are pure Genius.

I don’t know if maybe you browsed past it or not, maybe you haven’t seen it, but if you check every single US PSN download, you will find occasionally there is images in some of the descriptions, If I recall, there was for some of the early demos shortly after launch, and some for some of the first party content add-ons. Please confirm.

I’m also getting the error. I’ve re-downloaded it 3 times and now I only have 2 downloads left. Can you guys fix the game with a patch and give all of us our downloads back? I’ve heard that you only get to downloaded 5 times after purchasing a PSN game (which is stupid).

I’m with Vant! Why are you still charging a premium on the PS Store for Canadians?!?
It’s nice, but I’m still waiting for firmware update which give us achievements and gamescore. Its one of the main reasons why from multiplatforms games most people choose other system than PS3.

this is stupid i live in england and our store is naff, this week we got: resistance maps – good, 1 motorstorm add on – crap, timeshift demo – good, except it has been out in usa for months!, Pain trailer – crap, usa have the game! can i create an american account?
Two comments…
1. Why are Canadians still paying higher prices than Americans for the same online products? Our dollar is at par and there are no extra “costs” involved in shipping, etc. I see no reason at all why PSN content prices can’t be at par. If it’s a negotiation factor with the content creators, then please negotiate “at par” pricing for the Canadian content.
2. I’m going to be buying a second PS3 for my husband for Christmas (he keeps using mine)… for PSN content can you please note BEFORE we purchase if there are any restrictions on downloading to 2 different PS3’s under the same PSN ID. I downloaded the Shivering Isles expansion and assume when I transfer my save files that I will be able to transfer the expansion as well (or alternatively that I will be able to redownload on the other PS3)… but few if any of the content seems to show restrictions prior to download.
Hahahahahaha, I love how these people are whining about the PSN cards on here….weren’t you smart enough to buy the PS3 already? Are you not privy to the fact that you can use a pre paid credit card that you can get nearly anywhere? There should be no reason why you don’t have some of the PSN [DELETED]….just a lame excuse if you ask me..I thought all the foolish people have 360’s too, while us intelligent individuals owned the big black box, strange…and my Pain game is giving me the damn error messages as well, it’s weird, tho it allows me to play through them (So I don’t entirely understand that – a little help Sony?) That link is a about the Playstation Network and things that can be approved. I know that you guys are busy and are trying your best to make all of your consumers happy and I really appreciate that and im not rushing you guys at all. I really just want to see you guys succeed especially with the online and the Playstation Network since its kinda new to you guys. Please read that link and just add a few things to your TO DO LIST because your consumers really want those things and I believe it will make most of us very happy. GOOD LUCK YOU GUYS, maybe in a future update you will take our advice and we’ll see some of those things finally on the PS3.

I hate to sound like a bad person but I am going to have to any way. Please bring out more PS1 game on the PSN servers. Plus may be even some PS2 ones. There are some nice PS2 games that I never got to buy because there was not that many copys of the disks made.
Plus I just heard Japan is going to get a Video on Demand service really soon. I just want to know when the rest of the world will see it.
Please give us more ps1 games like Final Fantasy VII or other good ps1 classics. In order to get people’s interest you need to give them what they really want. The reason that the current downloadable ps1 games aren’t selling is because those games are average some of them suck and because there old or whatever. But if you release games like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider II, Fear Effect, Nino Crisis or Silent Hill as downloadable games via the PSN store. Then they’d probably sell like hotcakes, especially Final Fantasy 7 because you know how many fanatics will buy anything with the name Final Fantasy stamped on it. Not me though, I just want FF7 and that’s it.
So, just release good ole’ ps1 classics that gamers enjoyed or want.

Did Sony scrap the “Storefront” idea that they showed at E3. That was such a cool idea and have it accessable in-game. If they didn’t please tell me when it that going to be released?

if i go on the UK store, i can buy the rest of the eye toy games, why has it taken over 3 weeks to bring them to the US. moreover, for EOJ, i still cannot find booster packs in any of my game stores, and i live in L.A. you really need to package them as a traditional card game in a booster box, and not individually packaged in its own case. this cuts down on packaging costs, eventually handing those savings to me and selling the packs for 3.50 instead of 3.99. it might seem small, but i am only getting 8 cards.
as for this weeks update, for shame i say. oblivion expansion was initially promised as included on the ps3 version, making it the version to have. but now you want me to spend 90 bucks on it? why? i can get the game of the year edition for 60 and the original edition for 50, how about you fill in the gap instead of making me pay more for a 4 year old game.
goty on pc costs 49.99 and this includes ALL EXPANSIONS. as for the ps3 and 360 version, GOTY is 59.99. with the original editions costing 29.99.

as you can see, the ps3 and 360 owners are getting shafted. rediculous for what should be a 10 dollar expansion (and is at download price on the pc), i do not think so.
bottomline sony, seeing that price for a game that is way past its prime, is disrepectful and makes me never want to buy a **** thing.
also, i wont be buying pain until i am sure i will enjoy it, release a demo, or lose another customer.

I too agree, that Canadian pricing should be the same as American pricing, seeing as our dollars are practically interchangeable from country to country, they are of exchange rate .07 difference atm, Canadian dollar is worth 1.07 US$ please address this as the Canadian government has taken away certain healthcare benefits, and completely removed dental assistance of anyone over the age of 18, as previously it covered dental until 24, and basically made it’s people suffer in comparison to previous rule, just to earn their way out of debt to the USA, and to build a better economy in general, Canadian gamers deserve the same pricing, due to suffering through the country’s political tax/healthcare changes these past years, Locally things will continue to increase in cost within’ Canada, and the things that should be cheap… haven’t been, please be fair to Canadian consumers, I could see someone getting upset about it, and taking it to a more public forum, and I don’t want that to happen. That’s bad publicity for Sony in Canada.

it’s only 10$ and ask anyone who has boughten or played it, and they’ll tell you the same thing, it’s pretty much the best thing on the PSN for 10$ or less atm, they totally coulda’ charged 23$ for it.
You won’t be seeing much of a demo for it, because technically it is one map layout atm, but it’s so huge, and fun to explore, you won’t need much more until they release new maps, seems they have plans to release cheap content updates for this game like new characters for $1 etc…. and it is a great idea, as 10$ for 1-2 map content updates were getting a bit ridiculous.
Confirms what #134 Wollan says. Norway is missing this week update. I commented it at threespeech, but I might as well do it here. I hope it will come by monday then.
Pain.. good fun, but shallow.. some of the unlockables are rough.. hopefully this game will get more content in the near future, and not for $$ like the 2 new characters.. i don’t want to end up paying $60 for a game like that due to downloadable content…

I would have bought Pain but it just disgusted me that there was only one level and one character. Not too much for 10 bucks. Would have bought it if it had at least 3. I picked out SuperStardustHD and Puzzle Fighter instead.
I guess I can understand the Canadians on here complaining, but why are there Europeans on here? Is there not an EU Sony blog? Even the address above says “blog.US.playstation.com” and it also says this is “a blog by SCEA (that is, Sony Computer Entertainment of AMERICA) for Playstation fans”… what gives? SCEE, or whatever the EU branch is, should open up a blog so at least these complaints can be ignored by the proper Sony division. We Americans have our own problems… like needing Intelligent Qube and more PS1 games on the PSN store!

you dont only get 5 downloads you can download it as much as you want the 5 thing is the game you pay for can be downloaded to 5 active PS3’s that your account profile is on so you can go to your friends login with your I.D and download the games you have bought to thir PS3 now aslong as you dont delete your profile from their machine they can play the games aswell and like i said you can do this on upto 5 PS3’s i think the only exclusion is WARHAWK
