I cant believe you people are getting mad and blaming sony for not putting the update when sony clearly said the update will be up on thursday and as far as i can tell its still thursday.

Nice! Go! Sports Ski is 2.99$ in Canada too! I hope that everything here will have the same price as the US in the future.

I just noticed that there is a place for an Uncharted wallpaper, but it doesn’t show it, and you can’t download it… Coming next week i guess :(

I can’t download any wallpapers, it says a download error occured, I also can’t see any thumbnails after the 3rd page (on an SD tv).
I can download all the old wallpapers, but the new ones don’t show, and aren’t downloadable… I want the uncharted one.

I’m going to come in real late with my first post ever and say what I think a little more than half of the people are saying: Thanks for the update.
I actually don’t mind the wait…it gives me time to…read books? Who does that anymore…(not me).
But seriously, all the craziness about instant gratification is kind of demoralizing. Chill out, folks who are stressed about it. And thanks for being patient, folks who are not.
Whatsup. So i noticed a few other people were having the same prob as me as far not being able to download the new wallpapers. So i was just wondernig if there has been any word yet on what the problem was. Because besides demos of course this is my favorite content that i look forward too every week!
WhyTF buy a ps3 and not have an HD-TV…??????? you kids need to set your priorities straight… HD-TV first THEN get a PS3, with SD your wasting money on the ps3 ..no wonder you bitshes complain so much on this blog.
I searched last night and this morning, I cannot find Simpsons! I cannot find Tekkonkinkreet Trailer either! Wallpapers are working fine for me.
Go Sports ski = waste of $$ game is lame and i paid for it, played it, then deleted it. :( don’t waste your money, go get a mocha instead and play the skate demo.

First. Thanks for providing updates at all, for doing the blog and for the free online gameplay and free content Sony! Some people here just don’t seem to understand that this stuff all takes time, man hours and isn’t free for Sony to do — yet, to make this platform something special they’re just giving it away.. this is the way it should be btw — I this having to pay for xbox live is a load of crap and I just won’t do it… If there’s one game like WOW with dedicated servers for the game – maybe, but every other game should be a few dedicated servers from sony or the devs of the game and other than that can really just be people running their own servers just like in PC gaming… PC gaming has been like that for years and it’s been great… anyway — off subject.
I just played the Simpsons demo for a few minutes and didn’t get a chance to understand what i’m really supposed to do, but I thought it looked pretty sweet. Looked like it needed some anti-aliasing on some of the cell shading shadows and it’s at 720p and not 1080p.. wtf? What’s with game developers still making games in 720p only when the console does 1080p?
Anyway, I think this simpsons game could really be something good. Can’t wait to get home and play the demo some more.

does this mean that all PS1/PS2 games on the store will not work on these machines if so then i can see the slowdown or complete stop on these games altogether on the PS store maybe this is why they are not releasing anymore????

Its been months since they relased ANY ps1/ps2 games in the store for download. In the begining, they were relasing 1-2 a WEEK. Ya, we know it takes time, but not THIS much time as they were doing it once a week. Hell, within the first month of owning a ps3, i have qbert, mk, rampage and a couple others. NOthing since, so dont be telling us that we are ungreatful, we just want some more ps1/2 games to play

I completely agree with you, but I don’t have any interest in ps1/2 or classic games unless they’ve at least had a graphical overhaul anyway… Otherwise, I’d rather just play the game on my ps2 or buy the old game used somewhere… That’s my personal preference though and I completely agree that Sony could probably release more of this content to the PSN store without too much trouble. I agree that they haven’t and I can understand the frustration of users. I’m frustrated with all the delays and the delays of Home for instance. I was just trying to say that Sony’s already done more than they ever _had to do_…
That being said, I do agree that to really make customers happy in this next-gen world, they should be trying a bit harder and doing more, but I never bought a PS3 expecting these things either… It is troubling to see the PS3’s online store lacking in comparison to the competition, but it’s not something that gets me all bent out of shape either. I’d rather just reinforce the things they’ve done right and thanks them when something is done well.
Anyway — maybe I wasn’t clear with what I was saying… I hope that this post clarifies my thoughts on the matter.

oh, so I played through the demo of “The Simpsons Game” and I liked it overall… My biggest complaints would be with the control scheme.For example, once you pull out your slingshot as Bart the camera becomes much more difficult to manage and while it seems like it could be an easy to use system, something just falls short… I’m not sure exactly what the trouble is…
Graphics are pretty good imho. Very representative of the cartoon and the intro/ending cut scenes are awesome. That being said, there were elements in the older Simpsons games that seemed a little easier to manage and more fun, but this one seems like another take on a Simpsons game and looks like it’ll provide some good fun…
I’d say the demo is definitely worth playing through and can even be replayed 1 or 2 times, but it doesn’t show off much of the game at all and the level is really limited.
It looks to be a solid rental, but based on the demo I’m not excited enough to buy the game… I will be buying the movie though!!! :D
Dont whine to SCEA(the cool part of sony) about the mistake Europe did with the 40gig, SCEE are idiots.
It can play all the ps1 games, but no ps2. The 60gb stays there though. With a price cut.
From what I figure, Tekken 5 Online is available as an update in the Japan PSN, the US store as a bundle only, and in the EU not at all. What the heck Sony? I feel like strangling that or those individuals that run how the PSNs are handled, not for feeling ripped of on one single game but for the sheer illogic in how things are handled. It’s not like it is an isolated incident. Start synchronizing the damn PSN stores, localization for demos is a bleak excuse for leaving us hanging for anything from wallpapers, trailers, game demos and updates. I don’t want to risk getting caught for fraud using my credit card on a fake US/Japanese adress just to be able to get something that some of the stores was blatantly refused in publishing, and it’s downright embarrassing how the EU store is comparable to a cold war Russian store. Although it has admittedly become a wee bit better it has a long way to go.
So any ideas when we’ll get some PS1 love on the store?

i was trying to answer some peoples Questions about PS1/2 games if there is no B/C in these machines then they aint gonna release much more PS1/2 games on the store especially if they aint gonna work on the NEW Models!
