Well…after staying up way too late last night playing, I’m here to say that Warhawk is LIVE and available on the PlayStation Store AND at retailers across the country!
There were some crazy intense games last night and it was great to see players having a great time, earning medals and ranking up. I did notice that on the boards some of you guys have mentioned that your stats weren’t posting after you completed your games. First off…apologies for this, it’s never good to have a medal that you fought for not be credited to your player!
That said, we should all expect some occasional and isolated stats interruptions this week as we bring all the players from the US and Europe online…both for the PlayStation Store version and for the Blu-ray version. We’ll keep these interruptions to an absolute minimum as we would rather not drowned in a tsunami of hate mail.
On another note, we had a great battle yesterday with IGN. They had some of their staffers and some lucky applicants battle our Warhawk team here at Incognito. Needless to say, we had a wicked good time. There were some truly amazing players so to all of you that are going online with Warhawk, be on the look out for Jag71, OneAdam12, Arbole, xT3RMINATORx, WillKills…all these guys are crazy good.
I was able to record some video of our play session for your viewing pleasure – it a bit shaky-cam, not Blair Witch shaky but, well you’ll see. I got to capture, on video, one of the very few times that our best pilot, “Gergination” has ever made a mistake piloting the Warhawk. He won’t be pleased about me posting this vid but it’s entertaining nonetheless.
I’d also like to extend a request for feedback regarding the game setups that we’re currently running on the Warhawk Sever Cluster. Do you like the configurations? Do you want to see more CTF? More ZONE? Higher point limits? Etc. Let us know.
I spent some time last night listening to people on VOIP and it seems like some of the games were ending too quickly so we’ll look to increase the point limits so the games last a bit longer.

LOL…Sony needs to get their act together…im glad i didnt spend the $ on all these recent titles…the consensus says they ALL suck!
I wouldn’t go that far. It’s still in the launch window so of course there are bugs to work out. I had a blast online and look forward to the time when i can get back online. As long as they iron it out a bit, i don’t mind.
is everyone here saying that there has been a firmware update for warhawk?

Where are the parachutes?
You cant tell me you was playing this game for months and people didnt say “this game would be much better if it had parachutes”. Because i have heard it over 10 times already and i have been playing less than a week. Its just really annoying when devs leave things out of games that are so obvious.
You must have a good reason surely because this game would be kick ass if it had them.

Okay guys. I’m going to put it to you straight.
If this is really “the future” of gaming – then count me out.
You’re rewarding people who use the online system to buy your game, which gives you full control of their game and accounts – much like Steam does.
You’re punishing the people who want to go to a brick and mortar store and buy a physical copy of the game by jacking up the price and giving a redundant pair of headphones. (Ever think that people might already have a pair of these?)
The way it works is this.
I am a consumer. You are supposed to make your product *appealing* to me – not aggravating. Not insulting.
You have an obligation to meet the demands of the consumer – not make the consumer meet your demands.
If this is the way your company and Sony are going to do business in the future, count me out.
I’ll stick to Warhawk on the PS1 thanks.
Will there be some sort of an official explanation why we can only play Warhawk on the Owner/Credit account and not on any of our Player/sub-accounts? Why can’t it be implemented as part of the Warhawk software to actually choose which player/account you are? Or some other solution, but placing this limitation on only some of Warhawk’s players (most unknowingly) is very frustrating and disappointing to say the least.

Ok question, is everyone else having the probem where it says u have been disconnected from the network ? i keep gettting that or getting and error from psn saying i was signed out there , what gives? other than that warhawk is a game with great potential and i love playing ,but as others have said i would love it even more if i could play more than 10 minutes without the server booting me out.
When will the other members of my family be able to play their own players?
We need a party system like Resistance for Warhawk Mr Jobe. Trying to get into a game with buddies is almost impossible. PC type server options work good…for PC’s.
Other than that i love the game…but it should take half an hour to find a game that you and some friends can be on the same team.

Besides the Rank recording not functioning the way it’s supposed to be, I would have to say the thing that is needed the most is a option in the filter section. We need something to filter out Ranked and Unranked games. Plus, we could also use a few more servers for the higher ranked people.
I agree that there need to be more SCEE Servers.
Also we really need parachutes, It’s F***ing retarded when you jump in a plane too late after someone else already jumped in and you get to go along for the ride. Fix it please.
Can I get an explantion as to what the line/person means as a symbol next to the server names?

However…..
Incognito or Sony: Please sort out the ranking and stats system. My stats haven’t updated for three days and it seems playing ranked games are becoming pointless with no rewards.
I don’t mind not getting into the SCEE servers as my clan has a dedicated ranked server sometimes whenever someone is free to do it.
Personally, I don’t think parachuting is going to work, unless they make it so that the person parachutes under the radar because the would be like sitting ducks for anyone with a firearm lol
I love the game. I could care less about all of the “issues” that others seem to have.

That’s exactly the point! You want to be able to jump out but you can’t make it cheap where everytime you’re about to get a kill the b@st@rd jumps out the plane. Then you can just gun him down.
please for heavenly god sake please make the ranking system right. My profile was updated with only 1:30 hrs of game play and never updated again. From then on i played so much over the long weekend, that i never expect i will play again but the stats never updated. So for god sake please make the ranking system right
get more dedicated servers to the people who want them(everyone) MORE CTF MORE ZONES! and secondly for crying out loud can i have my stats updated?…. and if youre really listening out there GIVE US EJECT!
Okay, this complaining has truly gone way past the point of being ridiculous. Parachutes? Swimming? Naval vessels? Gimme a break!
The problem that you dopes fail to realize is that, for everything you can come up with that YOU would like to see in the game, you can find a hundred other people who disagree. Shotguns? No thank you. Personally, I DEMAND to see kitty cats running through the maps. Dammit Incognito, where are my kitty cats!!!?
The list of “issues” and “recommendations” on post 330 is absurd. Among the things I found that are just FLAT OUT WRONG, or that I disagree with, are the following:
1, 3, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34
So what’s Incog supposed to do – take all of your recommendations or mine? How do they determine what list of “issues” to listen to? A popular vote?
The game is what it is. And for many of us, it’s incredibly fun and addictive. Perhaps a couple of things could be addressed, as just about everybody seems up-in-arms about their precious stats not updating fast enough. Fine, if Incog is able to address this, then bonus! But this bellyaching is truly pathetic. Either have fun playing the game, or go outside and throw a ball.

This is a online only game so i would of thought they would of got the online part right first time. Not to mention they have been BETA testing this game for months. So how the hell have they manged to launch a broke game?!?
Yes its fun to play (When you can get into a room) but there is obvious things missing from the game that even a 4 year old could pick up on.
Why would having parachutes in the game be a bad thing? Battlefield had them and it worked great.
But hey if you content with a average game then great, but i expect more from a online only game thats been in BETA tests for over 6 months.
Despite all your whining, I see no substantiation of claims like “half-finished or “broke” (“broken”, maybe?). If you’re having difficulty getting into a game, then create your own – problem solved. Maybe it’s because the game is so popular, and so many people are content to enjoy it EVEN WITHOUT parachutes (lmao!).
If you consider things like shotguns, parachutes, and navy ships (let’s not stop there; why not submarines, ICBMs, space stations, and yes – kitty cats!) to be “missing”, then you’re the 4-year-old.
And if you want to compare this game to Battlefield, or any other title, I can come up with a laundry list of fixes and additions that I think should be there. That’s what’s so silly about this endless wish list. If you’ve all got such great ideas about what the definitive video game should be, then go ahead and make it (see you in about 20 years).
For starters could there just be some sort of obligatory acknowledgment of these issues and that they are being worked on or why they won’t or can’t be fixed?

Hey! i downloaded warhawk from the PSN and all i’ve been having with my game is problems my stats won’t up date, i keep getting a network error message, my controlers stops working after a couple of hours and there fully charged. I love playing this game but how can i keep enjoying it if i’m having these kinds of problems. Please let me now if this is being fixed and i am not the only one thats spoke about my kind of problems. Oh and did i mention great game!
I have no more patience left.
Today I can’t get into the servers, even though they say 10/20 or 24/32 or whatever it still says that the server is full.
I have been playing since it came out and only the stats from day 1 are there!

Worst update ever. Warhawk network timed out. Haven’t been able to play since last night.
I will agree that there are some problems. For one I can’t seem to connect to the game most of the time. It says it is full, but there are only 20/32 people. Overall though it is a fun game and it just came out, so of course there are gonna be some bugs to work out. So will people stop acting like its the end of the world. The game hasn’t even been out a month and people expect them to fix these problems overnight. Stop whining already. Stop looking at what hasn’t been done and look at what you have. For starters warhawk is out, and despite the fact that it can take 5 or more minutes to find a game, you can still have a lot of fun once you do connect. If you think it is so easy to get things to the customers how bout you go work for sony or incognito and see how easy it is pleasing everybody. As far as all these other things like parachutes, naval ships etc. They can update the game. So I would imagine new maps, weapons and vehicles will be available in the future, so stop being so unhappy with what you have right now. So if you can’t show any patience, either play another game or get some sunshine and fresh air.
We know the bugs shouldn’t be fixed over night. But isn’t this site here for a reason??? Is it that hard to type a couple sentences to reassure us that their problems will be fixed?? Isn’t gaming about having fun? Remember, we pay good money for these games. We’re their customers, they need to make us happy!!
I love the game but my stats and rank ups don’t save after paying numerous ranked games. I hope they do something about this because I know I’m not the only one this has happened to.

Parachutes would help the game big time! Have you heard of someone going in a plane without one? NO! As for the Navy, don’t be retarded, That’s like an expansion pack and would ruin this game. But I can see the name now:

Again being parachuteless is terribly stupid. And I’m very content with the way it is now.
I bought it on the PSN on Sept. 2. I’ve played quite a bit already on official(blue) ranked servers and I still have no stats as of today. Please put out some information on this. I can’t find anything official except the short mention in this blog.
I have not experienced any freezing on my system both before and after the 1.92 firmware update.
The dogfight servers are great. Please increase the time and point limits to allow for longer games.
Down the road I would love to see some new maps. The current maps are very well designed and I would follow the same design for future maps.

Wow, nobody gets into a plane without a parachute, therefore it MUST be in every videogame! Ok, so all the soldiers in the game should be wearing dogtags, and you should have to stop your plane/jeep/tank and re-fuel, since we all know that none of these vehicles goes anywhere without fuel. That’s how absurd your logic is, Dumas. The point remains: you want parachutes, I don’t; who’s Incog supposed to listen to? This entire laundry list of “wanna haves” is silly, since no two people could agree on the definitive list anyway.
Regarding naval vessels – “retarded” indeed. But the poster who suggested it (not me) would disagree with you, just as many would disagree over parachutes, etc. Is ANY of this starting to sink in yet?

Please Take note of all the serious ranking issues that are happening. For many of us stats have not updated in many days. If they are to stay down will there be some sort of refund service provided? I purchased 3 copies of this game two through download because it can not be shared on the same system ( nice) and one on disk for the headset and hardcopy backup. Not one of my 3 accounts has recorded any new stats since 8/30/2007 except to demote me ( *-_-) and add a game loss to my stats. Please tell me that all my games have not fallen on deff server ears. Without some kind of fix I believe this game is worthy of a recall. Good luck i am dying to see what happens.
ok. Not a bad little game. If I may, I’d like to offer some ignorable suggestions.
1. having to press L3 to talk is G.A.Y. Open up the mics like in Resistance, or at least let us build a squad and communicate freely with them.
3. In a dog fight, if you lose site of your target, you’re dead. Can we have a button that locks our eyes on our target until one of us is dead or until we select a different target?
2. Can we have button that locks our eyes on wtf is shooting at us? They have sinned and must be punished.
B. The menus and who killed you info. Could you not use a 4 point font? I’ve only got a 30 inch television, but even so, there’s no reason I should need to sit two feet from the screen with the Hubble space telescope to read the screen. Bigger is better.
4. Two words: Buxom Blondine Bouncy Bottoms, and plenty of them.

If posting my comments here can help the status of this game then I will do what can to help…I have the game for a while and I think is amazingly fun and addictive but there are some issues that kills the game for me.
Unreliable network – the first few days of Warhawk were fine; the network worked soundly but now its unstable and the search system isn’t update as it should be. For instance, rooms are listed 25/32 but once you try to get into that room its full..That needs to be fix..
I am Chief Sergent, but as of today I am reverted back to Recruit once again, for the 3 rd time…Please fix this issues because it is ticking off a lot of hard core gamers and casual players..
Maps – we need more maps, 5 more and if we had to pay these needs, I would like a refund because we shouldn’t be paying for extra content. The game doesn’t worth its price, we need more content to justify the price we paid for this game.
PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES ASAP…

MY STATS DONT WORK AGAIN! they started working again after they restarted the server but now it doesnt work again… i hate playing games for hours on end when it doesnt even record all the effort im putting in.
I have one question? Why don’t have any boats on this game? The most maps are islands and have water…
Can we wait for a patch/add-on with this?
