We’re wrapping up our reader poll today. It’s clear that Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Warhawk are highly anticipated games this year, our poll garnered 10,000+ votes! Very impressive. Over the next few weeks, we’ll have the developers who are working on these titles chime in here to talk about them as part of our Inside The Developers Studio series. More to come, but now, on to our next poll…
Over the last few weeks we’ve been receiving and reading a ton of your ideas and thoughts about what sort of features we should be adding to this blog to make it better. We have our own thoughts of course, but given this blog is about you guys and in the spirit of this week’s July 4th holiday, we figured we’ll just put it to a good ol’ fashion vote.
Starting today, on this blog’s sidebar —> vote for the feature(s) you would *most* like to see incorporated here over the next few weeks and we’ll do all that we can to oblige. Also, feel free to leave us suggestions in the comments too — all things will be considered. We know this blog needs some fine tuning, with your help we’ll get it there.
Hi-res screenshots & videos, please!
These are just some thoughts about improving my Playstation experiences (sorry if this is long):
– I really like to be able to connect my psp to ps3 and play them on the big screen, use ps3 controller etc cause it’ll be a nice transition when gaming.
– I understand that your supporting three systems at once but I really want more Playstation classics released (Being just roms and all) and possibly ones that havnt been in Pal regions like Chrono Coss. Not trying to metion competitors methods but you guys have the space and hardware why dosnt the PS3 run dreamcast and saturn games along with it.
– Now the last thing is about the PS store display is to be honest bad it has all the content but I cant really progress through it gradually and Im happy with the upscaling but something unique is how a pc emulation can filter games to make them look majority better I think you consider integrating that in the system.
Thanks for reading.
Why can’t I view the videos on any of the Playstation websites using my PS3??? Enable flash for the PS3, and allow all video types to be played back on the PS3 (PSP also for that matter)…..
Sorry for the dups but I wanted to chime in my two cents:
Agree with other posters on:
1. Have to get web videos working (flash, etc..)
2. Game resolutions don’t seem to default correctly. MLB goes to 720 vs 1080p, Rainbow 6 runs at 1080p for me vs. 720. So I have to manually switch every time to force the resolution.
3. On the positive side, love the blog, free demos, and trailers. Looking forward to Home coming out.
I would like a PSP version of the blog…. PSP browser doesn’t like this site very much.
Other off topic, silly gamer love his PS3 so much, he breaks it. Ahh, came off http://www.pspsps.tv
We had to share this silly tale with you, of how someone who loved his PS3 so much broke it. During our Internet exploring adventures we came across the Blu-ray.com forum where a guy had posted about his poor now PS3-less friend. But we’ll let him tell it in his own words:
“He came round mine explaining that his PS3 just died for no reason. I asked him if he used any buggered games, DVDs. He said no. I asked him if he dropped it etc. No, no no.
“So I went round his to have a look. He had put black duct tape over the air vents. All of them. I said ‘why have you put duct tape over the vents?’
“He replies with this: “I am really cautious about my PS3. I really look after it. I don’t want dust getting inside it so I covered up the holes to stop dust from getting in.’
“I was in tears.” – As were we dear man, as were we…

I would like to see release dates. who dont love release dates.
I would love to see a Most ashamed poll.
Have people submit (via email I suspect would be easiest) the games from PS1 and PS2 that they were most embarrassed or furious over missing. Once you have a good selection put them in a perma-poll that has a 2 month life span. When you have an idea of fond memories/demand for old forgotten titles swap out the choices and start working out those games giving the top choices extra bonuses that makes them more appealing :) Online Multiplayer, Bumped up textures, Unlocked extras for beating the game which could be interviews with the devs. That way you have a constant feed of titles that people would be looking forward to playing and you could know which ones strike a chord with the PS3 crowd.
I agree with SpetsnazVI I would love if the PS3 could render PS1 and PS2 games in HD rather than just upscaling the image. Evan though I love the idea of Home, I want it simple enough to just jump in to my friends game from the XMB and in game access from the interface to.
I think alot of you guys are gettin off topic here. They are askin what features you would like on this blog, not what you want for the ps3/psp. jeez. wake up people. you may think they are not listening but they are there are other places where you go and gripe about what features you want on the ps3/psp. sign up on the playstation underground and bring up what features you want on each system. now that i done got that out of the way. the widget sounds good to me, as well as the 1-5 rating system and downloadable high-res screenshots and videos. another feature i would like is a better implemetation on the psp so i can view it better on the browser, unlike alot of you i actually use my psp to view a few things on the net. i think this blog is one of the best thing sony has done, so keep up the good work. another thing, i would like to see is a live Q&A but not with some P&R person but lets say 20 of our own ps3/psp users with our own questions about our specific games or new content.
Please put a link at the bottom of the blog post that will jump to the comments section. Scrolling to the bottom of the page can be annoying if you don’t want to take the time to read all of the other posts.
Also, It would be nice to have a quick reference as to what company a person works for and what game(s) they are currently working on. This will help us to be able to quickly determine if a post is something that we are interested in not (along with the title and short description).
Thanks for the great work!
