Fallout 4 and Doom headline PlayStation Now’s August update

Wolfenstein: The New Order, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow also join the service

Hello, PlayStation Now fans! August is nearly here and we’ve got a heavy lineup of big hitters joining the PlayStation library next month.

Enjoy the award-winning open-world RPG shooter Fallout 4, the brutal remake of the classic first-person shooter DOOM, the alternate history shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order, and many more!

You’ll be able to download any of these and the more than 300 PS4 (and PS2) games in the service and play on your PS4 or PS4 Pro, and stream any of the 600+ PS2, PS3, and PS4 games to your PS4 or PC.

Fallout 4

Experience Fallout 4, winner of more than 50 Game of the Year awards. As the sole survivor of Vault 111, explore a massive open world destroyed by nuclear war as you work to rebuild the Wasteland. With a deep RPG system and shooter mechanics, customise your character and weapons, gather followers and companions, build and customise a new home and a settlement, discover crazy enemies and monsters, and more in one of the biggest and best games of all time.

Rediscover the classic FPS DOOM, a brutally fun and challenging modern-day shooter experience. With relentless demons, impossibly destructive guns, and fast, fluid movement, DOOM offers intense first-person combat in the single-player campaign mode, as well as numerous multiplayer modes.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

If you’d rather take down a ruthless authoritarian regime, check out Wolfenstein: The New Order. With elite combat tactics and an arsenal of advanced weaponry, take on massive mechs, super soldiers, and an army of seemingly unstoppable might. Only you can free the planet from this nightmare of unimaginable tyranny.

  • Where is Vampyr? You announced that game for July PS Now update, the game was never available to us and then you also removed the traces of it from the blog post.

  • YES! Castlevania. Love that game so so much

  • While US also gets Tekken 7 this month…

  • Its fine to see but still have no access to PS now feature in my country :D big hole to equal other players in PS services :D :D :D

  • Very good games this month. No stinkers. According to my very thorough and very nerdy ranking systems, these are the grades:

Doom and Fallout 4 are ranked AA, the second highest grade, meaning highly recommended. Wolfenstein: The New Order and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow get an A. MotoGP 17, The Raven: Remastered, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Brut@l get a B, and Monster Energy Supercross and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD are this month’s lowest ranked game with a C. No D or F ranked games, so all games are worth playing.

  • WILL PS5 be able to play PS3 games locally and not via stream? Microsoft is offering that service. Come on sony give a hint. And install a cell cpu if you have too !

  • Why don’t we get Tekken 7 like the US does?

This restricting games by region is not good enough.

Game Pass doesn’t do this, everyone can play the same games.

  • Still waiting for the service to launch in Saudi Arabia ?

  • More PS4 games need to be added to PS Now, so these are good additions. However, it would be better if you added Tekken 7 to other regions too, rather than only U.S.

    • Why would you even want Tekken 7?

It’s by far the worst Tekken game ever made, with trash AI, horrible balance, no content (basically just a 2 hour boring easy “story” that recaps other games and easy treasure battle). It doesn’t even have a proper arcade mode/team battle/etc etc etc or even ending movies). All thats left is the abandoned/buggy online and a questionable roster full of boring “random guy/woman from random country who has no point in the story but is angry at Jin/Kazuma” other than one, while the returning characters are questionable too (seriously, who wants crap Julia aka Leo!?).

Tekken 2/3/4/5 DA/6 would be better, and Tekken 6 almost looks nicer, even though it’s a PS3 game.

  • Dear Playstation EU team, did you know that also Slovakia is in Europe also in EU? Why can´t be the “Playstation Now” able in our country?

  • It’s pretty disappointing that we don’t get Tekken 7 over here… With that and the lack of night trap, the idea of a US account grows increasingly tempting.
