Compete in the FIFA 19 Cologne Cup to win a slice of a €27,000 prize pool

How would all of you FIFA fans like the opportunity to play at the largest gaming consumer show in Europe, and bag yourself some great prizes while doing it, including a slice of a €27,000 prize pool? We’re talking about Gamescom 2019, that will take place between 20th-24th August.

We will be hosting a live tournament – the finals of the Cologne Cup – at our PlayStation booth at the show, with 16 slots available to be filled for the best players from Europe and beyond.

To secure one of these slots, you’ll need to qualify through one of several online tournaments we’ll be hosting together with ESL over the next couple of weeks.

Cologne Cup online qualifier dates:

Friday 19th July – Single Elimination Qualifier
Saturday 20th July – Single Elimination Qualifier
Monday 22nd July – Single Elimination Qualifier
Wednesday 24th July – Single Elimination Qualifier
Saturday 27th July – Double Elimination Final

The qualifiers will be split by region, with the top players from each group winning a slot at Gamescom. See below for group details and slot allocation:

Central Europe: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland – top 4 players qualify
North Europe: UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland – top 3 players qualify
West Europe: France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg – top 3 players qualify
South Europe: Spain, Portugal, Italy – top 2 players qualify
East Europe: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Malta, Romania, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine – top player qualifiers
ANZ: Australia and New Zealand – top player qualifies
MENA: Turkey, UAE, Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia – top player qualifies
Japan: Direct invite
