New trailer & Sephiroth key art revealed during live FFVII concert
Tetsuya Nomura (Director, FFVII Remake) and Yoshinori Kitase (Producer, FFVII Remake) delighted fans in person at the Final Fantasy VII: A Symphonic Reunion concert this evening when they announced Final Fantasy VII Remake will be coming to PS4 worldwide on 3rd March, 2020. In addition to this exciting news, they revealed a new teaser trailer featuring never-before-seen footage.
Square Enix has more exciting reveals planned for Final Fantasy VII Remake during their live event on 10th June, 2019, at 2am BST (6pm PDT), so be sure to tune in!
As with the release dates for Days Gone (https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2018/06/07/post-apocalyptic-open-world-ps4-exclusive-days-gone-release-date-confirmed/), Uncharted 4 (https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2015/08/31/uncharted-4-release-date-announced-collectors-editions-detailed/), Bloodborne (https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/09/18/bloodborne-release-date-confirmed-new-trailer-debuts/), Driveclub (https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/10/18/driveclub-update/), The Last Guardian (https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2016/09/12/an-update-on-the-last-guardian/), Arkham Knight (https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/03/04/batman-arkham-knight-arrives-ps4-2014/) and countless others, I’ll wait a few months for the *actual* release date before getting too excited. Thanks, though!
With a solid date like that, even if there is a delay it would most likely be a very minimal one like a month…
too bad it has the same [DELETED] gameplay as FFXV
Until you fix the spamming 2 button “action” gameplay, terrible voice overs and translation, the 3rd of March, 2022 when it’s 95% off is probably the earliest i’ll consider it.
Speaking of let downs, stop hiring Nomura to direct anything that isn’t a toilet cleaning crew. The guy who’s almost single handedly taken Final Fantasy from a much loved and respected series into horrendous embarrassing junk people will maybe buy on a sale to punish themselves.
You are my hero MiseryPrincess, I love all your previous commentaries on the FF7 Remake post, a month ago. You just speak out my mind. Thank you!
Well, there might be a glimmer of hope, apparently you can choose between “action” mindless 2 button mashing and “tactical” which is apparently “more like the original ATB system”. So that might be ok, maybe!
They hopefully will allow you to use the Japanese voice overs (though not always, they randomly locked out Japanese in the recent port of the Last Remnant for no reason, even though it was in the original). So that’s a 50/50 chance of being fixed.
So it might not be quite so bad as they presented it before, but we’ll see, Square Enix has this way of screwing up everything. Though there’s still the terrible Crisis core style translations, that Tetsuya Nomura is still hired to make games professionally and has “rewritten bits”, but small gains.
No… I still hated what I watched on the E3 promo…. the Tactical mode is not mean’t to be used to battle, just to pause the time to select certain move, and then just go back to smash Square button forever until the battle is over….
Well that’s terrible then!
I suppose Tetsuya Nomura has never made a single good fighting system in a game, and seems to want to make every single game Kingdom Hearts, so it’s not really unexpected!!
Another added issue appeared though. Materia as DLC. Seriously… Why!?
All I can say is… that they killed my childhood with this… I mean… yes, we still have the old game we love, but…… it really broke my heart to see them mess up with this game… it’s pretty unfair. It is kinda as if they made Rhapsody a Musical Adventure a Platform game, so new players don’t find it hard to play.
