What Remains of Edith Finch and Overcooked! are your PlayStation Plus games for May

Explore a surreal family history told through fantastical tales or cook up a storm with friends and family

We’ll be adding two new titles to your monthly PS Plus on 7th May, one a slow-burning exploration of family tragedy and the other a red-hot couch co-op mash-up of cooking, puzzles and chaotic, laugh-out-load fun

Let’s take a closer look:

What Remains of Edith Finch

From the creators of The Unfinished Swan, the award-winning What Remains of Edith Finch is a highly original and often surreal experience. As the last of the cursed Finch family line, visit your family’s old family home and discover more about your relatives’ untimely deaths through unique interactive storytelling.

Sombre, thought-provoking and at times deeply moving, What Remains of Edith Finch is one of this generation’s most understated gems. If you missed it the first time around, now is your chance to experience it. Winner of Best Game 2017 from the British Academy Games Award (BAFTA), Best Narrative award at the Game Developers Choice Awards 2018 and more, developer Giant Sparrow’s follow up to their debut release, The Unfinished Swan, is a truly a special experience.

Overcooked!

Built specifically with local co-op play in mind, Overcooked! is a fun, frantic and often hilarious experience for up to four players. You and your friends will join forces to become a team of chefs and work against the clock to turn out dishes for hungry customers.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork and timing, you’ll need to communicate with each other to chop vegetables, fry steak, stir sauces, plate-up finished meals, and more – all without the kitchen catching fire!

With its cute and colourful stylings, huge range of dishes and kitchen layouts, easy controls, accessible gameplay and a focus on silly, over-the-top antics, Overcooked! is the perfect party game for gamers and non-gamers alike.

Play solo or enjoy couch co-op and competitive modes for up to four players.

Both What Remains of Edith Finch and Overcooked will be available to download from PlayStation Store on 7th May.

In the meantime, you still have a few days left to pick up April’s two PlayStation Plus titles.

Conan Exiles is a wholly unique take on the survival RPG genre that transports you back to the very dawn of civilisation, while The Surge is a brutal and rewarding action-RPG journey through a dark sci-fi dystopia.

If you haven’t downloaded these yet, fear not: both will be available to download for PS Plus members until 6th May.

Let us know how you get on with April and May’s titles over on Twitter and Facebook and we’ll see you again next month.

  • Sony, you’re breaking my heart :(

    • force us to pay to play online but keep givin crap games

    • Sony have massively changed the content of this subscription. They should offer everyone who signed up before a certain date the opportunity to cancel their PS+ subscription with a full refund for the outstanding amount due. I and many like me only signed up for the games. If a mobile phone company changes your contract half way through they are legally required to allow you to leave no strings attached. Why should this be any different? I would personally take them up on it and will not be renewing PS+ when my sub is up.

    • The ps5 games offered on plus will be much better when everyone has jumped ship back to Xbox. Platform holders never learn.

    • To be fair, they gave us 2 COD games in the last couple of months

    • Two? I only remember MW:Remastered. What was the other one?

    • Black Ops III

    • Black ops 3 was in June 2018, not exactly the “last couple of months”.

  • This is absolutely disgraceful, just when you think it can’t possibly get any worse you do this….. This is very very poor value, they don’t even have platinum trophies.. you can finish these in about 8hrs! This has to be the lowest point for PS Plus. You take away the PS3+Vita games and instead of the PS4 games getting better we get 2 cheap indie games which are a glorified Demo and a type of game you get for free on your phone… wow. I hope you get a lot of backlash for this, this need looking into imo, you have taken away so much value this month.

    • It will probably be a year or so with games like this until they start to see people vote with their wallets and not bother re-subscribing to PS+.

    • To be fair ps plus is mainly to game online, the additional bonus to this is you get access to the instant games collection. It was never marketed as pay each month for free games and as a bonus you can play online, it was always the games that are an additional bonus. Clever marketing because it pretty much means there is nothing to look into because, as long as you can game online, you are getting what you pay for.

    • You are part of this “problem”, you do realize that, yes?

PlayStation+ started out as a subscription service for the Instant Game Collection, Online Saves and special offers in the PS Store, you are de-valuating the PS+ subscription by trying to spin it as “Online Play with some benefits on the side”. Your train of thought is basically enabling Sony to pick apart PS+ and start offering less and less, as long as you get your online play.

      https://www.playstation.com/en-us/explore/playstation-plus/

Also, check this link, see what’s written there? All different components of PS+ are equally highlighted, stop deluding yourself into thinking that PS+ is “only about playing online”.

    • Its because of people like you that allows Sony to get away with this crap

    • @luckymouse Do you see the bit in the advert youve linked to that says ‘terms apply’ and gives you a link to click? Thats the bit you want to be reading because its the bit that matters.

And to clarify, it isnt about me ‘getting my online play’. Its simply what the service is you are buying. Regardless of what you think it is.

    • I think you started playing on Playstation only recently. If you were here at the beginning of the service you would know that the idea behind the Playstation Plus was to offer subscribers exclusive content and games monthly… The excuse to pay for better online service came later.

    • That is exactly the point im trying to make, the service changed. People just dont seem to get that. Im definatley not new to playstation though. People seem to think this is the same service as they had on ps3, it isnt. Names the same but the actual service now has a different focus.

    • EXCEPET* in PS3 it was Optional service, when it came out. And you didn’t really need a reason to purchase it AT ALL! Since playing Online was free.

Plus, even now, we pay for “online gaming” to secure servers maintenance, but some multiplayer-games keep getting shut down regardless.

    • All true. They just changed the terms to say the main feature was online gaming and everything is an extra feature. Its still optional but they are arent just selling it based on the games anymore. They’re a massive company, there is a reason they do it this way and it isnt to be our best buddy. Its to make money and cover their backs incase we get to big for our boots.

Driveclub getting the boot is grim. Again though, terms say they can and they have us over a barrel with it.

    • @ kcbeaker79 are you serious? PS Plus started on the PS3 where the online is free!…. PS Plus has always been about the games… Do you really think they are giving us games for free? Having to buy plus to get online on PS4 was just a way to get more people to buy it. What a clueless person.

    • To be fair ps plus is for the instant game collection, the additional bonus to this is you get to game online.

    • Although games are what I signed up for, I wouldn’t call it “instant game collection”, if you were to sign up now you’d only get 2 games, that’s hardly worthy of being called an “instant collection”.

    • Yes it was. PS Plus started on PS3 as a free game collection. There are many people, like me who prefer single player and don’t game online often. For us, the instant game collection is the reason for subscribing, and we are now getting punched in the face every month by Sony.

    • @zombiemeat666 Plus did start on the ps3 and was about the games, thats correct but we arent on ps3 are we. If you bothered to pay attention you will notice that when it moved to ps4 it was changed to an online service and the games were branded as the ‘instant games collection’. Its right there in the terms. It may well have been to get more people to purchase it but the fact is the service and what it was for changed. Simple as that.

You may also notice i didnt say it was for the better in my comment, i just said it was clever marketing and wording on sonys behalf. Cant complain about games quality when they arent what you pay the fee for. Learn to read before you call people clueless buddy.

    • @kcbeaker79 i can read fine and you are clueless.

    • @zombiemeat666

‘PLAYSTATION PLUS IS REQUIRED FOR ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAMING. IN ADDITION, PlayStation Plus membership includes monthly PS4 games to download, exclusive PlayStation Store discounts, and 100GB of cloud storage for game”

I put the important bit in capitals to make it easy for you pal ?

And again, im not saying its a good thing, just pointing out how they get around it ?

    • @kcbreaker So you agree to Sony charging you for a Peer 2 Peer connection to play online? There are no connections via Sony just an internet connection from one PS to another and they are making money for nothing by charging people to play online. PS Plus is about the IGC and to deny that and side with Sony is to prove yourself nothing but a fanboy. Wake up and smell the coffee already.

    • Gotrek nails it. The forest has no server yet u need ps+ to multiplay on it. Any game u buy that has multiplayer requires ps+ to play online. Regardless of wether u host it or not.

I host an ark and a conan server, i pay for the servers then i pay sony to access the servers i pay for

    • @ Gotrek_74 Christ why is this so difficult. If you dont have plus, you cant game online so yes, thats exactly what you pay for if thats how it works. Pretty self explanatory that bit.

BUT AGAIN…..im not saying they are right or that someone cant be annoyed at the games. The original post said this months games ‘needed looking into’ due to the value of the service. I pointed out that plus is NOW sold as a requirement to play on line but you get access to the games as a bonus (or as the terms state, in addition…). This means there is nothing to look into as you are getting the service as agreed. If you only buy it for the games its irrelevant as the service is sold as a requirement to play on line with additional benefits. Like i said (and keep saying), its clever marketing that covers their backs.

To be clear….im not supporting sonys ‘side’….im not being a ‘fanboy’….im not saying people shouldnt be annoyed as thats their choice….im just saying its would be pointless having it looked into as they are providing the service as sold and that the service is not the same as it was on the ps3.

    • Lol

    • @kcbeaker79 yea its required to get online on PS4… So what that doesn’t mean PS Plus is all about online, only a small portion if any of what we pay for goes towards online… What do you think those who only have PS3 and Vita have been paying for……for the last nearly 9 years!! And what they will continue to pay for to access their PS Plus GAMES! You really are clueless.

    • One last time.

I agree its not all about online BUT sony sell it NOW as being required for online play and everything else is in addition to that service. Yes people on ps3 and vita paid for it for 9 years to get those games but each time they renewed they agreed to the new terms. These terms changed when sony changed the description of the service but they still agreed to them.

To put it another way. If you signed up to 12 cans of beans every month and i said IN ADDITION i will send you some free bread each month, it doesnt matter if i sent you one slice that id washed my dog with. The main thing i sold you was 12 cans of beans, as long as you get them you cant touch me because you still got the additonal bread as agreed.

Regardless of your reason for buying it, you accept their terms and the way now sell it when you do.

      Now, ill say this slowly.

      Im…not…saying…its…right…im…just…saying…t-hat…they…do…it….like…this…so…they…cover…their…back.

    • @ste_the_legend01 Lol and a year from now we will still see the same people claiming they are going to unsubscribe from Plus.

    • Did maaden make a new account?

    • What [DELETED] planet do you live on? What Remains of Edith Finch is a phenomenal experience. And Overcooked is an awesome game, especially when played with friends. That game is a total [DELETED] blast. You are mad that you are getting two good ass games?

What do you expect? Spiderman and Days Gone? lol

    • @kcbeaker79

I joined PS Plus in 2011. Online was free. PS plus was very much all about the instant game collection, for those of us who joined during the early years, the IGC is still the main reason we still sub today… Because of the games that is what we pay for. I have zero interest in online play, never have and never will. We need a tiered PS Plus structure one for games one for online and one for both.. Non online gamers should not be forced to pay for a service they do not want.

    • yup they extort money to force you to pay to play online then they get you to pay for ingae items when you already pay for internet

    • The only thing I pay for is the free games as I don’t play or care about online games. When I last resubsribed about a year ago it was still being marketed as ‘6 free games per month’, which has now changed to a wimpy two. I don’t mind indie games, in fact I very much enjoy them, but the quality of the subsription has dropped substantially and if they don’t up their game I will be unsubscribing.

    • @Witcher70 this is my point but everyone just keeps going ‘its all about the games, ra ra ra’. Of course a lot of people buy it for the games. Back in the day it was all about the games but then it was changed as a service required to play online and as a bonus we’ll include games.

All i was trying to say was that people saying it should be investigated are wasting their time because sony will just say ‘the terms say its a requirement to play online with an addition of a couple extra services/games’. They could dish out two games worth 50p and, while that would be a dirty thing to do, they are still doing what they said. Regardless of if folks just buy it for the games, its sold as a package and they accepted these new terms each time they bought it after sony changed it.

Completely agree with the tiered idea you suggested. I was kinda hoping we might get a psvr game or maybe access to some ps now stuff when they removed the ps3 and vita games but at the end of the day they dont have to. The service we bought says its xx amount for online play and in addition you get games, storage, additional sales, content, etc… and thats what folk have got. They never said it will be AAA games, just games. Like ive said plenty before, clever wording that covers their backs incase anyone trys to complain. That is literally all ive been trying to say. Im not defending them, just saying its pointless arguing it because they have us over a barrel. If we paid, we accepted the service they offer now which is not the same one it was on ps3 because that was literaly pay per month and get these games each month. They had to be good because thats all the service was. Nowadays its not and hasnt been for a few years

    • “To be fair ps plus is mainly to game online, the additional bonus to this is you get access to the instant games collection. It was never marketed as pay each month for free games and as a bonus you can play online, it was always the games that are an additional bonus. Clever marketing because it pretty much means there is nothing to look into because, as long as you can game online, you are getting what you pay for.”

      maaden_swe is that you?!?

    • @ThePirateLeChuck i give up. Wear a helmet, you are probably gonna need it more than most.

    • @kcbreaker79 “If you dont have plus, you cant game online” …hmmm. Or can you? You can play Final Fantasy XIV online without Plus.

    • I don’t give a crap about playing online – I have a pc for that. I do care about decent games and that plus the discount for ps+ is the ONLY reason I subscribed. I’ll definitely be gone when my subscription expires and Sony can take a long walk off of a short pier as far as I’m concerned.

    • This. It’s just another slap in the face of loyal Playstationers, the type of which I’ve come to expect from $ony – ‘This is for the players’? Laughable strap-line.

Having been forking over my hard earned to Sony for more than 20 years, and subbed to PS+ since launch, I’ve seen the level of respect for their customers and the value of the subscription erode over the years to where we are now – it is nothing short of shambolic.

I genuinely would not be surprised to see a post on the blog to announce that PS+ will be required to switch the console on in the near future.

Whether it’s good ol’ fashioned greed or a way to subsidise the abject failure that is PS Now this erosion means I see absolutely no value in renewing my recently expired sub.

I’m also considering my gaming options in to the next gen – something which, until relatively recently, would never have crossed my mind.

An investigation in to subscription services by the Competition and Markets Authority has recently been launched in the UK and they are seeking views of gamers/customers. I would urge you to share your views on the matter (add a www etc to the link below):

      gov.uk/cma-cases/online-console-video-gaming

You know it’s bad when even maaden_swe goes dark.

    • I totally agree on that

  • Trash. So, let me get this straight, you increased the price of PS Plus, then you removed the PS3 and Vita games…. for this? Wow.

  • Well this is crap!

  • Thank you for What Remains, I didn’t really like the Unfinished Swan but this seems special.

  • That’s what you get when you hate Surge & Conan… irony off…

  • Hoo boy.

I’m suuure glad you got rid of 4 of the 6 PSPlus games so that we could get higher quality, higher profile PS4 titles as part of our subscription.

  • People saying What Remains of Edith Finch is trash and crap, are putting them self out as imbeciles. It’s an 88-rated game and it’s a must play. Such a lovely, well made and it can be finished in 2-3 hours, but it’s quality time.

    • Its a glorified demo…

    • I strongly disagree, it’s 2-3 hours with a very charming and fun story, with some amazing art. Quality over quantity can sometime be the way to go and so it is with What Remains of Edith Finch.

I know many will not play What Remains of Edith Finch, because OMG it’s a walking simulator!!1 I pity those people, who are so narrow-minded.

The last months with Plus has been really bad and it’s still a disappointment we are only at 2 games, when the competition is at 4, and we used to be at 6 games, but this month is a fine month.

    • It’s been given away for free on PC…

    • Dude let him be , i am sure that person start playing games yesterday or back in 360/PS3 days max !!! dont waste your time let him stop subb and play crapy AAA like Ubisofts games go enjoy them

    • Who the heck cares about it being free on PC? You are on PS Platform and Sony will not be checking if PS Plus titles have been given out for free somewhere else. WRoEF is an amazing game and everyone should play it.

    • I always wanted to play WRoEF, so I’m glad we’ll get it for free.

I also loved playing Overcooked with a friend.

But I also get why people aren’t happy with this line-up.

    • If it was a “must play” everyone would have played it already… Especially as it was free on PC… (kind of like the Witness straight after being on PS+)

    • How is it a glorified demo? Just because a game is short doesn’t make it a demo. That is lunacy.

    • Sure, if you’re into that kind of crap. If I wanted to play psychological garbage that would be fine but I don’t care about it nor do I want a team cooking game – there’s always Gordon Ramsey for that.

  • A theft. The service is a scam months ago.

  • Well it’s two games that I haven’t already got, so there’s that…. but this is hardly top draw AAA games. Disappointed overall and will reconsider whether to continue with PS+ when my subscription runs out.

  • Edith Finch is an incredible game. Overcooked is fun enough in coop, but it’s not really offering value for money at this point. I picked them both up for less than £15 in total last year. Its very poor value.

    • ‘Poor value’ is an understatement

    • Both good games that I do not own. But have often considered buying. So in that sense. Both good games. But are these two games ‘value’? Why didn’t Sony chuck in a PSVR title this month? I would certainly thought now we only get 2 PS4 titles, this was the opportunity to get a bonus VR title!

Its all twists and turns though as previously I got done when we got a free AAA title with COD MW. As I’d already owned that title so was only left with 1 ‘free’ game that particular month. Sony please do not forget PSVR owners, we need free titles too.

    • Throw in a PSVR title for the 4% of PS4 owners that own it? That would still leave 96% of people unappeased.

At that point you might as well offer Vita titles again, as 5x more people own one.

    • It may be an incredible game but not everyone can play it. Motion sickness from FPV games (of which we get most months annoyingly so).

  • Ahahahahahahahaha.

I can’t wait until my PS+ expires. This is an absolutely atrocious service. Sony clearly couldn’t care less about alienating their customers.

  • “Let us know how you get on with April and May’s titles over on Twitter and Facebook and we’ll see you again next month.” – What’s the point, you clearly take no notice. And just try and tell us that these two are worth £80 like you normally would! Never seen so many complaints about the piles of cack you keep “giving” us, read some of the comments for once!

  • Dear Sony the IGC games you give away these days are not making the PS Plus subscription worth it. Now that you don’t give PS3/Vita games away anymore, there is no excuse to not include some higher quality games. You should add 1 bigger game to the 2 indies you usually give away.

  • Absolutely awful, disgraceful really, not what I signed up for!?

  • Can’t wait for the email that tells me that these games have a value of £80 or something.

  • Might as well not give us anything at all… This is horrible…

  • Not one to complain, yet I have never in my life seen a service’s value decrease so drastically as PS+ has.

  • Such a disappointment ?

    • As the expectations for this are so low I don’t think it’s possible to be disappointed anymore…

  • This is easily the worst month ever and the lowest value for money by a long long way. Sony this is shameful. You take away PS3 and Vita games. Up the price and give is rubbish like this?

  • Someone gave me overcook and four of us started playing it. So addictive!

    • I know, right? A friend invited me round to play it and I thought it sounded lame. Cut to many hours later and the only reason we stopped was because I was too tired to carry on. I ended up buying it myself and went through it all over again with another friend. It’s nice that someone’s still making couch co-op games. Even if this one can result in tense moments with friends.

  • Well, at least it’s not Metal Gear Survive

    • I’d rather have Metal Gear Survive than a 3 hour walking simulator and a cruddy party game.

    • That three hour walking simulator is one of the best games I played last year. But I can’t really defend this months offering. Very poor value, but they’re both excellent games.

    • A three hour walking simulator was the best game you played last year? You have my sympathies..

    • Overcooked is actually fun, but you’d need friends to get the best out of it so I can see why you wouldn’t like it! :-)

  • Better than I thought it would be. Thank crud it’s not Metal Gear Survive. Edith Finch ain’t my kind of game but I’ve been wanting to try Overcooked after seeing good things about it. Probably not suitable for me since I have no local gamer friends but maybe I can shareplay. So yeah I’m actually ok with this. Not great but not terrible. Still miss when we had around 6 games for various PlayStations though even just cos it offered some better variety.

  • You bunch of whinging [DELETED]. You’re getting free games for the cost of less than 50 bucks a year. That’s like 4-5 bucks a month. I am seeing people saying ‘BUT I PAID 15 BUCKS FOR BOTH OF THESE, WAHHH THIS IS BAD VALUE’. For those who don’t own the games, they’ve got 15 bucks worth of games (at sales discount cost) for 5 bucks. THAT is value for money. Just because you own the games already, doesn’t make it bad value for money. Short of getting games tailored specifically to you as an individual that you don’t own, you’re always going to have some games that are in your library. People need to quit complaining, don’t like it, unsubscribe and let the rest of us enjoy the games. Some months are great, some aren’t, but you sure as [DELETED] ARE getting value for money.

    • The cost has gone up by 25% per year, the number of games included has dropped by 48 per year.

Please explain to me why we should not be voicing our immense displeasure at this drop in quality of a service which has changed so significantly since we signed up.

Or just shush your pants. You sound like a corporate lapdog.

    • Whatever point you’re trying to make became invalid as soon as you said ‘you’re getting free games’.

    • You don’t understand what “value”, “cost” and “worth” actually mean. “Value” is what you personally think it’s “worth” (and a matter of opinion), “cost” is what it costs in actual monetary terms.

Fifa whatever “costs” 120969.97 but the “value” to me is 0, as I have no interest in sports games. An expensive game is “worth” 0.

If someone gets less than “5” value in RENTED games for “5” monthly cost, it’s bad value. Not really something you can argue about.

    • Stop using the term FREE when they aren’t we pay for them through the subscription.

People have a right to complain Sony have the cheek raise the price and offer less games.

I’d rather Playstation Plus let us have access to Playstation Now as that would be better value for money.

  • most of people crying cuz they dont know what What Remains of Edith Finch is sadly ! i hope Sony stop giving so good games anymore and give u crap AAA next month so you can be happy

    • Errrm yea its a 1hr glorified Demo….

    • quality over quantity but yes most of people like you dont understand they all want a game you just repeat a thing over and over

    • Glorified demo doesn’t even make sense. Are you thick? It’s a full game. Just because it’s short doesn’t make it less of a game than a 15 hour AAA title. Edith Finch isn’t for you, however. You need a modicum of intelligence to enjoy it.

    • I held off buying What Remains of Edith Finch despite the many times it’s been on sale because I felt it would end up on plus. The main disappointment is paying £10 more and receiving less content.

    • That is YOUR opinion. Clearly the vast majority do not agree with you.

    • @Alex79uk you are wasting your time with this one

    • I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean i’m not intelligent. EGTTR was better IMO, as was “gone home”. People can say they don’t approve of the game selection without having their IQ brought into question.

    • I guess then that if you have more than a modicum, you’re screwed. Glad you only have a modicum, I’m happy for you!

    • He said it was a glorified demo, not that he didn’t like it. If he played it and didn’t like it, fair enough, but he clearly hasn’t, and is clearly so stupid he thinks it’s a ‘glorified demo’. Therefore, my point stands.

  • So Japan gets Metal Gear Survive and Darksiders and we get 2 old indie titles. Why does Japan get consistently better games when its meant to be a world wide service?

    • metal gear survive is trash. and darksiders i bought for £6 anyways

    • Not denying it, I would never buy Survive but if it went free I’d give it a go. What Remains is a great experience but it’s only ever going to take up an hour or two of your time

    • Because, unlike the US and Europe, Japan doesn’t have the Playstation as it’s dominant console, so they have to try harder.

    • I know, right? Back then, Japan got RPGs and VNs for the Vita, while we got indies.

  • Thinking of unsub from ps plus and now im definitely gonna unsub

    Wth is this!?

You removed ps3 and vita and with that choice you need to give atleast 1 good AAA game every month and 1 indie because this isnt fair and its robbing money from your costumers

You greedy you know what,i dont want to say it because you gonna block me then.

  • Last month was ok, this one is just, eh… I don’t know, even MG Survive might have been better. Asian Plus had Azure Nights, why not that?

    • Because Sony thinks we need every single walking simulator ever released.

When was the last full RPG for the PS4 we got?

While we’re at it when was the last full racing game or fighting game for the PS4 on plus?

  • These are 2 genuinely fantastic games so don’t really see why there’s so much complaining.

I’d rather PS+ offer smaller titles like this than the bigger AAA stuff as frankly I find a lot of these smaller titles to more often be more interesting & more fun than a lot of the bigger titles.

  • Happy to finally have Overcooked, been on my wishlist for ages, but frankly this month overall is quite a poor showing. Especially when Xbox still get 4 games with Gold and one of them is fricking Wolfenstein 2.

  • My ps plus expired in February. Still waiting for a reason to renew it. Sony is playing a smart game cause most people have thier ps plus for December cycle, so they know they can push any old cr@p without losing money. They will eventually start putting out good games in October/November to make people forget about months like these. Bravo Sony.

    • Your plus expired in February and yet you still have the plus icon.

    • @Izorpo: It’s a well known issue. Sometimes it shows when it shouldn’t and other times it doesn’t show when it should. It’s an official Sony website.

  • Urgh, can I get Metal Gear Survive instead?

  • What a crap month, had nothing this year yet that interests me

  • £28.98 value maybe next month will be better hahahaha

not £22 that the email said

  • normally have at least a good month from xbox if sony is rubbish, but they both very poor this month

  • This worst line up in playstation plus history and it’s big scam. Why is no one complaining to playstation staff about this. I don’t get it when PS3 wasn’t saleing they gave up best lineup of free games but when playstation 4 is saleing we get worst line up. I don’t get it . Plus like playstation 4 owner is saleing money for a raining ☔️ day .

  • Now i wish the metal gear rumour was true. I’m sure I will soon have some swedish bloke telling me how i’m wrong but this is a pitiful month

  • Sony please sort out this PS Plus rubbish ASAP! Do you want people to jump ship and go back to XBox. How can you drop from 6 games to 2 game and then over at XBox they have 4 games a month. That’s a slap in the face to your loyal PS fans. Sorry if this is not sorted out in a few months, then I’m never subscribing to PS Plus again. The value worth of PS Plus is now at a pathetic level. I’ve already cancelled my auto renewal when you announced the removal of PS3 and Vita, but hoped you would improve the service in other ways, but we’re halfway into 2019 and there have been no improvements yet. WAKE UP OVER THERE!

    • maybe they think the 100gb cloud save is the value so we get rubbish now

    • Yeah, I think they thought everyone would be like…….wow 100GB…….hello……I don’t even use 10GB. What am I going to do with 100GB?

    • You forgot they also raised the price before dropping 2/3rds of the content.

Maybe they could drop the price again..

    • Sony needs our Ps+ cash to keep PSnow alive. Thats why they cant give us AAA games. :D

  • It’s 1st May Sony, not April… I mean, I’ve always wanted to play What Remains, but.. I’m otherwise lost for words

  • Ok, we all laughed, now you can post the real games for the month!

Oh wait, you were serious?! LMFAO

I’m so glad my PS+ sub expires soon. I’d rather not lose online play and save backups, but the only way for Sony to notice that this kind of poor service won’t stand is to stop giving them our money

  • As we guessed; Getting less games, cheaper games, worse games, since dropping PS3 and Vita.

  • They’re both highly acclaimed games, for sure, but not exactly value for money here. Especially now we’re paying £10 MORE for 48 FEWER games per year.

It’s my birthday tomorrow, I’m gonna be 45, and I’ve been happily playing Sony consoles since the launch of PS1, but it’s getting harder and harder to justify that subscription fee. I’ll not be renewing when mine runs out come September unless there’s a dramatic improvement in service.

One would have thought you’d be trying to improve your customer satisfaction rating on the approach to your next console launch. I can’t speak for anyone else, but you’re driving me from a day-one, guaranteed purchase to seriously considering avoiding Sony all together. That’s quite an achievement. I used to be a proper fanboy. ?

  • Absolute tripe, drivel, offal and codswallop. Sony, you should be slapped around the face with a wet kipper for this insultingly bad offering. I would rather pay to download a free virus which gives me syphillis, and my PlayStation some kind of YLoD.

  • Meh….

Well, it’s still better than MGS Survive

  • You can tell the people who don’t really play games ? Brilliant month happiest I’ve been in a while!

    • Lol you’re crazy

    • The quality of the games is not the problem. I’m looking forward to playing both and I love indies, but the 25% increase in yearly cost twinned with the list of 48 games per year is kind of hard to defend. Especially seeing as Sony are shutting down game servers. If we’re not paying for server maintenance and we’re not paying for the games, then where is this money going? Sony just seem to be getting greedy.

  • Wow what a joke you put the price up take away games and give us two rubbish iPhone type games. Glad I let my sub run out two years ago now.
