Plus, pre-order Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

We’ve a great selection of new PlayStation Store releases this week. Face down hordes of Freakers in Days Gone, practice your most brutal takedowns in Mortal Kombat 11 or help a couple of dolphins save the world in Jupiter & Mars.

Here are the highlights:

1. Days Gone

Survive Bend Studio’s post-pandemic America as the outlaw biker turned bounty hunter, Deacon St. John. Explore an action-packed world on the back of your motorbike as you face vicious gangs of survivors and hordes of mutated Freakers. Better make sure to lay a few traps…

2. Mortal Kombat 11

The wait is finally over! NetherRealm Studios’ brutal fighter returns with a roster of fan-favourite characters and a few new faces. Perfect your brutal combos and finishers in the story campaign or go head-to-head against others in online multiplayer.

3. Jupiter & Mars

Embark on an underwater adventure in a world where humans have disappeared, and nature is bouncing back. Play as a pair of dolphins with enhanced echolocation powers as you solve environmental puzzles and learn about the consequences of pollution and human-made climate change. Bad humans! Shame on you!

4. A Chair in a Room: Greenwater

A Chair in a Room: Greenwater
You wake up with no recollection of your past in an eerie medical facility. There’s nothing weird about that at all… Developer Wolf & Wood drops you into an atmospheric PS VR thriller where you must solve puzzles to uncover why you’re trapped in the sinister Greenwater Institute.

This week’s pre-orders

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

You’re one of the last Jedi left in a galaxy far, far away, in Respawn Entertainment’s third-person action-adventure. Explore a vast world as you work to complete your training and dodge the Inquisitors. You only have to rebuild the Jedi Order. No biggie.

  • Why would anyone preorder the ea jedi game yet?, they havent shown any gameplay at all, im not an ea hater, although i dont trust them very much, but they are asking for people to stump money up for a game that they have only shown a cinematic trailer to..

    • Well, I could preorder it because its a Respawn game, and I usually have fun with their games. And I like Battlefront 2 as well. People can scream about loot boxes all they want, I just dont buy them but I would never let stuff like that keep me from playing a fun game :)

    • Dude do you only come here to argue with people? Every comment I see you Maaden_Swe you are always opposing what the comment is saying…

And I wouldn’t pre order an EA game, what you said is what people said about Anthem that its from Bioware and look what happened.

      Thank you

    • “Why would anyone preorder from a digital store” is the correct question imho. maybe to pre-load the game?

    • Yeah I think maaden is the nearest thing we get to a Sony employee response here, even if only to argue against every point made, my statement had nothing to do with loot boxes yet they suddenly ended up in their response lol, I would say the same about ea or anyone, to ask customers to preorder a game when no gameplay has been shown at all is ludicrous, its not like its a fifa or cod or even assassins creed game where you know what to expect, hell jedi fallen order could be a text adventure for all we know about it ?

    • Spot on, unbiased! Also, where can I preorder the text adventure?

    • But be aware, you will have to pay per letter/character!

    • Haha, with certain letters only available in gold loot boxes…

Note to maaden this is a joke… Do not take seriously ?

    • Lol, you ea haters are hilarous, thanks for the funny comments

    • Digital preorders are for suckers. Are you afraid they are gonna run out? Cant wait a little longer for the download to complete? And if publishers give preorder bonuses to ‘reward loyalty’, then why not give said bonus during first three days of release? It’s almost like they desperately want you to pay before feces hit the fan…

  • Beyond excited to play Days Gone this friday, been waiting for this since E3 2016 anouncment.. Its nearly time to kill some freakers..

  • Busy with Dreams and lbp 3 but I pre order days gone so getting steelbook speacial edition so I hope game good like in trailers.

  • Weird how theres a SFV trail on the same day as MK11

  • Street Fighter V Trial? Odd. I bought the game years ago. I still enjoy it a lot though. Tried other fighting games on my PS4 but always end up going back to a Street Fighter whether it V or Ultra IV or the SF 30th collection. :)

As for this week’s actual new stuff? Eh I dunno. Days Gone might be good but I’m not in the mood for that sorta thing at present.

  • I hope Days Gone does well, been waiting years for that game

    Please be good

  • i have bad feeling about Days gone, but i hope it will be good

  • Still can’t get MK 11 due to a few factors.

The most important being they killed off the best character in the series in the last game, after giving her really terrible default costumes..

  • Rocksmith DLC this week is “2000s Mix Song Pack VI”, featuring “The Adventure” by Angels & Airwaves, “Party Hard” by Andrew WK, and “Shiver” by Coldplay

Rock Band DLC is three singles: Halestorm – “Do Not Disturb” (Part of the Rock Band Rivals Season 11 Spotlight Pass), Sonata Arctica – “Flag in the Ground” and Suicide Silence – “Disengage”

  • Slay the Spire is up for pre-order for anyone interested as well – think it went up a few weeks ago as going live, and then got erased from the list without comment….
