  • I guess that basically new release games already being discounted means they didn’t sell so well…

There are some good deals here, surprisingly.. Some of the games are almost 90% off in the bottom section.

  • Four out of four games I was interested in, and checked out has had their prices jacked up in the last month before going on sale… It’s just morally [DELETED]…. and I refuse to partake in this sale in principle because of that…

    • What are you talking about? Games don’t increase price over time.

    • Oh they can… may have been £39.99 at launch which reduces to £24.99 over time, but then suddenly goes back to £29.99 or £34.99 a week before a sale so that the £24.99 “Sale” price looks more tempting.

    • Vlash_D what games? Just interested to see if there is a pattern.

    • Well, without some exact examples or proof this is just hearsay. Don’t know about other stores but I have never seen anything like that on my croatian store, and I’m quite a regular visitor of ps store, maybe even too regular

    • And those four games are?

    • Hi, I see they reinstated my post, with one word removed (I didn’t know that was a banned word… really).

Here are the games with proof. These are all for the Norwegian PSN store at least. I follow psprices, and I keep a personal spreadsheet with prices as well.

-Kingdom Hearts 3. Was 599 NOK and then became 649 NOK on 01.03.2019. Now discounted to 487 NOK.https://psprices.com/region-no/game/2717598/kingdom-hearts-iii

-Soulcalibur VI. Was 669 NOK and then became 749 NOK on 05.03.2019. Now discounted to 379 NOK.https://psprices.com/region-no/game/2543807/soulcalibur-vi

-Hitman 2. Was 599 NOK and then became 649 NOK on 21.02.2019. Now discounted to 329 NOK. https://psprices.com/region-no/game/2570759/hitmantm-2

-Grip. Was 349 NOK and then became 379 NOk on 21.02.2019. Now discounted to 189 NOK. https://psprices.com/region-no/game/2564850/grip

-Knack 2. Was 349 NOK and then became 379 NOK on 21.02.2019. Now discounted to 125 NOK. https://psprices.com/region-no/game/1745024/knack-2

Those are the ones I’ve looked at right now, there’s probably many more…

      -Soulcalibur VI.

Was 669 NOK and then became 749 NOK on 05.03.2019. Now Discounted to 379 NOK. That is higher then the discounted price they have had three times prior at 349 NOK.

      -Kingdom Hearts 3

Was 599 NOK and then became 649 NOK on 01.03.2019. Now Discounted to 487 NOK.

      -Knack 2.

Was 349 NOK and then became 379 NOK on 21.02.2019. Now discounted to 125 NOK.

-Castlevania Requiem: Symphony Of The Night & Rondo Of Blood.

Was 179 NOK and then became 189 NOK on 15.03.2019. Now Discounted to 96 NOK.

      -Grip

Was 349 NOK and then became 379 NOK on 21.02.2019. Now Discounted to 189 NOK.

      -Call Of Cthulhu

Was 499 NOK and then became 549 NOK on 21.02.2019. Now Discounted to 247 NOK. They discounted it on 22.02.2019 as well, a day after raising the price.

That’s the ones I’ve checked out now. I had URL’s to all of…

  • They removed my post about them jacking up the prices before going on sale… wow… just wow…

    • I still see it, so which are the games?

    • The post was apparently reinstated after a few hours… with a word removed. I’ve posted a comment there with the games I’ve found.

    • Seems like they removed my post with the followup here… probably because of links to the proof?

The games are Soulcalibur VI, Kingdom Hearts 3, Knack 2, Grip, Call Of Cthulhu and Castlevania Requiem: Symphony Of The Night & Rondo Of Blood. Those are the ones I’ve seen so far.

    • Banner Saga 1 & 2 both went up in price when Banner Saga 3 came out. But from the examples you gave I’d suggest that it varies by region.

  • It would be easier to permanently drop prices for Destiny 2 editions, this is boring, game is constantly on sale…..

Yakuza Kiwami 2 price drop is also tedious….

And you put wrong Metro on sale, give us Exodus, enough with the Redux….

  • Some good stuff here if you dig a bit.

  • Damn I only brought Borderlands 2 VR last Wednesday for £40 now it’s down to £25 ☹️ I always do that.

  • Has anyone noticed the Darksiders Collection “bug” ? I have the Collection in my wishlist for some time now, and i’ve noticed it 3 – 4 times its been on sale since. Its up for 16 euros, noooice price, thumbs up and all. BUT, if you were a plus member, back then, you got Darksiders 2 Remastered as a PS Plus game for free, right ? And if you own that, psn doesn’t let you buy the Collection, which for 16 euros is great, even if you already own D2 and you want D1 and D3, 8 euros per game.

    What’s up with thaaaat ?

    • It’s not just Darksiders, it’s pretty much in any collection, if you own one part then collection is unavailable to you. It’s like with games and season pass or dlc, if you buy it together it’s cheaper, it’s more expensive if you get base game first and then buy addons separately and in the end you can’t buy deluxe or whatever named version if you own base game even if the deluxe edition on sale is cheaper the price of season pass or dlcs. Publishers always push for new sales rather than offering something to existing buyers, not much to do with the store, it is what it is.

    • @misterMike1989, yeah, you are right when it comes to actively selecting what games you buy but in this case it was free with 2017 November’s games. Bare in mind that i will lose this game from my librady when my subscription ends. I think that we should be given the ability to buy them in this case.

    • It’s not just collections that the bug happens with. Sometimes owning the demo/trial means you’re unable to buy the collection the game is in..

  • The EU sale is absolute rubbish compared to what the USA ps store got last week!!!

Still no Horizon Zero Dawn or Detroit Become Human… sigh!!

  • Where is Destiny 2 – Forsaken?

I can’t find it today in the store at all

  • I thought the destiny 2 annual pass was on sale?? Just checked the store and its in the sale page but still says £29.99 even at checkout.

  • Destiny 2 Forsaken was 13.99€ on Wednesday 20th, and now it’s 39.99

What is the purpose to be in March Madness without discount?

  • Same with the annual pass, had the money on Friday to get it but went back up in price so bought anthem instead from cex instead
