5 big new PlayStation Store releases you need to check out this week

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Project CARS 2, The Solus Project VR, and more...

The digital shelves this week echo with the sound of epic fistfights between spandex-clad superheroes; the roar of supersonic sports cars; the fearful science of a suspenseful sci-fi adventure, and more. Below are five of this week’s biggest releases, and the full release schedule follows thereafter.

1. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

The Marvel and Capcom universes collide as a huge cast of iconic characters clash with the fate of worlds at stake. Discover the exciting cinematic Story Mode, or dive into single player Arcade, Training and Mission modes. Then, once you’re ready, fight it out online in epic team-based battles!

2. Project CARS 2

Race through the most epic GT, Formula, Endurance, Touring, and Rally Cross championships in 180 iconic cars across more than 60 tracks. Project CARS 2 delivers an experience that offers a realistic experience across visuals, feel, grip, handling, and performance.

3. The Solus Project – VR

Set on a mysterious and seemingly uninhabited alien planet, The Solus Project is a single player PS VR adventure built upon exploration and survival. Fight to survive and unveil the secrets buried deep below the planet’s surface. Will you be brave enough to face the truth?

  • Why you should play it: The Solus Project offers over 15 hours of sci-fi immersion in an atmospheric and sometimes unsettling adventure.
  • Available: 18th September

4. Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar DLC

Step into the next chapter of Battlefield 1 with the game’s most extensive expansion yet. Fight the Russian Revolution in the harsh winter with the addition of six new maps, 11 Russian-themed weapons and new game modes.

5. Morphite

Jump into Myrah’s vessel and explore the colourful procedurally-generated landscapes of this unique sci-fi game. This single-player adventure leads you on a quest to unravel the mysteries of this strange world, revolving around a mysterious material called Morphite. Embark on an epic single-player experience and explore a host of open-ended planets on your interstellar journey.

  • Why you should play it: Play researcher and warrior as you battle – and explore – across the galaxy in this atmospheric sci-fi shooter.
  • Available: 20th September
