  • Big week for sports eh?

I recall enjoying that Neo Geo game Spin Master. I’ll likely get that.

And for anyone who doesn’t know and might be interested, that Arcade Archive Haunted Castle is the old Castlevania arcade game.

And can you stop messing with the login thing, please? It changed again and I had to actually remember my darn password. :P

  • Happy to see there are Rally cars in Vita version of Ys VIII

  • Nothing that immediately stands out other than the picture for Ys VIII being wrong in the Vita section.

  • Still no Night Trap?

  • You know what would be a great? A remaster of ÆON FLUX.

  • I definitely want ys 8, hoping the Vita version is cheaper than the ps4 pre order, though maybe I should get it on ps4…

Nhl18 would be nice if I had the money, but for some reason they don’t sell nhl games at a budget price in Australia any more :( NBA 2k18 prelude got me interested in the full game, but maybe on sale. I’m too poor for all these games :(

  • Still no news on Zero Escape: Zero time dilemma?

Is it going to release with the physical release later this month or is something else going on? One of the staff told us that it was delayed for one week. It has been almost a month since it released in the US and since then nobody said anything at all.

It would be nice if you answer people on their questions on why certain games are still not released in Europe (Night Trap is an other one). It doesn’t make any sense it all in this day and age of the internet and digital releases. People are not in their own bubble anymore. There is no reason anymore to release English Translated games in North America, but not in Europe.

I understand that Japanese games have to be localized, but if something is already translated to English, just release it here as well (I don’t know how much the difference in American English bothers UK gamers, but even that should not take a month or months to correct).

The biggest issue I have is that there is NO communication about delays AT ALL. Please treat us like human beings and at least try to give us some answers if questions about the same games keep comming up every single week.

    • Btw, do you think people won’t notice that games aren’t released or if they are delayed on the European PSN store if you don’t tell them? Have some respect towards your customers, we are not stupid and we are not 3 year olds.

    • Kerbal *cough* Program

I respectfully think you’re expecting way too much from Sony.

    • It’s not what I expect from Sony. It’s how all companies should act to their customers. I know it’s not how they run, it’s how they should run. Also, the staff used to respond to questions on this blog some years ago. I started posting here because I saw the staff responding to questions.

I can predict now that next gen, Sony’s machine will be second to Microsoft’s machine. They are making the same mistakes they did after winning the “console wars” with PS2 and the beginning of the PS3 suffered because of this. MS made the same mistake with Xbox One as they had most sales last gen as well (and Xbox One suffered because of this as well).

They think nothing can happen to them and start to become arrogant instead of appreciating the people who put them where they are. I want to buy that game on my European PSN account. If I can’t do that they will lose money as I will buy it somewhere else.

Delays can happen and it’s not the PS Blog staff’s fault that they happen. But they can at least try to provide people with posts on why those delays happened or at least react when people ask questions. At the moment it seems that they don’t care about their customers and because of this they will lose people to the other platforms. Probably not this gen, but next gen they certainly will.

    • I checked in with the Store team on this and Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma is currently listed as due for release on 22nd September, which is next Friday. Provided the publisher or dev doesn’t make any changes to their plans, it should be available on Store then.

    • @ Eric Whelan

Thank you very much for the info. I just wanted official confirmation of this. It’s very much appreciated.

Btw, I just realised that an edit button is added. Thank you very much for this as well.

  • And once again a VR release vanishes from the release schedule . Of course I am referring to Manifest 99. Any news what has happened to it ? *shouts into the void *

    • I’ve checked in on this, and we don’t have any information on a European release date yet, I’m afraid.

    • Thanks for the reply . I know it was down as release for all territories yesterday . But as per usual it disappeared .

    • Thanks Eric whelan for replying to this post and some of the other post’s on here,it’s great to know that these posts are being taken seriously, and you guys are going to reply to some of the questions us peeps put on here, once again thanks.

  • I know this is probably going to go unnoticed and unanswered, but where is Black Manta for Injustice 2? He’s not listed here, should be coming out today for Ultimate Edition owners, but the game says it can’t find the content. It gets worse because Injustice has a scheduled event where you can get gear for him and all that for a week, but after years of seeing how the Store works we’re probably going to miss it because it will probably be pushed to next week.

  • Stellar update… Can you explain again why PS+ is now 20% more expensive?

“Death of the Outsider is a perfect follow up to the critically acclaimed stealth series, but also great if you’re new to the series.”

How can a follow-up be a perfect introduction to a series for newcomers? Oh wait… marketing.

    • They upped PSN in North America some months ago as well if I’m not mistaken. I am not saying there’s a good reason for them to do so and that I see a difference, but it’s not that they only screw Europeans this time.

Btw, I think it’s because they lost a lot of money with buyng Gaikai (which turned into PS Now) and they are surprised for some reason nobody want’s to subscribe to it because it’s to expensive. They need to get their money somewhere.

    • It’s because they already told everyone that Megan Foster is Billie Lurk. And if you don’t know about 1 and 2, you won’t realize that you’re probably missing out on tons of references and connections to the prior titles. It’s like, if you didn’t play Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches, you’d never guess that they perfectly set up the sequel.

    • Dishonored 1 & 2 are on PS4 anyway so I don’t see why someone who is interested in the series wouldn’t just play those first. It’s like when EA claimed “Mass Effect 3 is the best place to start” when it’s obviously not if you care about the story at all. It’s not like they’re expecting people to go back and play a 1980s game to not miss any of the story.

  • Soo many sports titles and sports microtransactions make this week feel a bit lacking. It’s kind of hard to “get” those kind of things and it’s like some weird other worlds where people play boring games and spend money for points. But I guess they make people happy.

  • Also, at some point can you fix the bug on the store where if you download a trial of a game you “own” the entire game?

It means that if you use the Dishonored 2 trial, you can’t buy either the Complete Collection or the Deluxe Bundle or anything else due to “owning” Dishonored 2. It’s a bit silly and makes little sense.

  • Damn are all sports games stuffed with Microtransactions these days? I have never played a Fifa / NBA / NHL before but do people seriously buy it every year and then pay Microtransations on top? They must be making a killing …

  • Still gotta finish Dishonored 2 so dlc will be for later.
