Nioh’s final action-packed DLC, Bloodshed’s End, arrives 26th September

Fight your way through enemy-filled floors of The Abyss, a new mode that’ll test your skills

I hope you all had a chance this summer to experience our latest Nioh DLC, Defiant Honor. Those battles were pretty legendary! In order to keep the excitement alive, we’ve been hard at work on our exciting and final DLC for you samurai. It’s called Bloodshed’s End and it’s a perfect way to conclude the final chapter of the bloody Sengoku period. Our latest adventure picks up where we left off in Defiant Honor. The Siege of Osaka’s winter campaign was put to an end by a peace negotiation between Toyotomi and Tokugawa.

However, conditions were harsh as Osaka Castle lost its secondary and tertiary enclosures, as well as its inner and outer moats, leaving just the main castle’s inner sanctum standing.

Inevitably, this situation led to an uprising and another war breaks out merely months after the winter campaign. This is the concluding phase of the Sengoku-era and the end of William’s journey.

Other than additional main missions, sub missions and Twilight missions, one of the most exciting and unique features in Bloodshed’s End is an amazing new mode called The Abyss where the strongest warriors can test out their skills in a perpetual battleground.

This new mode offers epic battles and unique challenges for the most skilled players. We’ll have more to reveal on this mode before launch.

And as always, we provide you with the usual suspects to complete your Nioh experience- new Yokai, new characters, a new difficulty level and new Guardian Spirits.

You have fought well against insurmountable odds, slain countless deadly yokai, defied death again and again but there remains one more brutal trial. I hope you will celebrate the final chapter of the remarkable Sengoku era with Bloodshed’s End coming out on 26th September for €9.99/£7.99, or for free if you own a Nioh season pass.

There’s something for every samurai of varying skill levels and a few surprises along the way. So jump back into the action, prepare your weapons and keep your Ki levels in check samurai! This will be one EPIC voyage into hell and back. #DefyDeath

  • Nioh has become one of my favorite games of all time, all the updates and DLC made it even better. Cant wait to jump in on the last NG+4 and the endless mode!!

Sad about no eyepatch and no yagyu clan, but those are just tiny nitpicks.

  • They don’t say anything about a new weapon class? I’ll be pretty disappointed if that’s the case, that was in large part why I cared for these DLCs so far.

    • There is a weapon type that is really oddly missing, especially as it was so common during the Sengoku period. Naginata!!

    • Yes, it was so wierd having straight Spears, boar spears, a Lance, and no naginata, a weapon that screams samurai

  • Love this game one of the best PS4 exclusives out cannot wait for this final dlc chapter to release. Onto Nioh 2!

  • Oh also sell Kodama merchandise!

What a missed opportunity haha the Kodama’s are awesome needs more spotlight

  • “There’s something for every samurai of varying skill levels” sounds good as I am often of varying skill levels! (oh how I like to beat a horde of enemies then fall off the side of something)

One thing which is slightly odd about the Nioh DLCs, all the trophies are bronze! Finishing the game on normal gets you a gold (basically two) and finishing all missions on NG++ only gets you a bronze.
