Plus, new Resident Evil 7 Biohazard DLC and Dirt Rally gets PS VR support
This week sees the arrival of For Honor, a brand new combat-focussed action IP from Ubisoft. Pick a faction (samurai, Viking or knight), choose a class, then carve your way through the battlefield.
Also out this week on PS4 is the fourth entry in the Sniper Elite series. This time the action plays out in Italy – grab your rifle and do battle with the Nazis in a bid to liberate Europe from the yoke of fascism.
And that’s not all – see the list below for a full rundown of all this week’s new releases.

Who in there right mind pays these ridiculous prices for new digital release. £55 for For Honour, £50 for Sniper Elite 4 with absolutely zero resale value.. Both can be bought on disk for around £40.
Completely agree, Sony is throwing away money and losing to mobile because you know all these 60 Million PS4 owners now buy LESS games than the 10 million ps4 owners at launch because people arent paying that to try out a game with no refunds available in PSN… Prices should be around 20 bucks for new games and sony and publishers could make 10 times the money they make now easily.
While I agree prices are high, sometimes the extra is worth it to an individual in certain cases. For instance, I purchased Overwatch digital rather than disc, even though I could have saved £5 or so because:
1. I have no interest in resale value – I have never traded a game in I have bought.
2. Buying the digital allows me to have it playable on both my Playstations at once… a disc doesn’t. That’s going to cost me £80 at your prices on disc.
But, as you can see, these are relevant to my circumstances. Physical or digital is a choice I make depending on the game I am buying. I weigh up the pros and cons and make the right choice for me.
In the UK For Honor is only £42 in Tesco plus I dont have to do a huge download plus I can trade it in after, so its a win win win for me, I wonder how many people wished they could trade in their digital versions of No Mans Sky lol
Try living in NZ, where most new game prices are equivalent to £70 or more! The prices for new games on the Playstation store are generally slightly cheaper at around £60-£65 equivalent, but if you want a deluxe edition or a season pass bundle, expect to pay around £90!
Even older PS3 games on the PSN are about 2x the price of those in the UK, we often get lesser discounts in sales too. Sometime we don’t even have the games available anymore due to licensing, or the prices get left at a stupidly high level because our store gets forgotten. Example: Max Payne 3 is £40 on the NZ Store, a game that costs about £5 preowned
Or wait two or three weeks and it’ll have been less than £30 at at least one retailer
The publisher sets the prices for games. Sony did not publish those titles, they only take a small percentage of it.
Publishers usually stick with the RRP for games to keep the retail stores happy. Now, this is the most important part of my comment..
If you don’t like the price, don’t buy it.
I buy digital only. The first thing that has failed in every Sony console released is the disc drive, there were lawsuits and cover-ups etc. I had quite a bit of bad luck with my PS4 disc drive. I was given a refurb unit by Sony…. with a bad disc drive. Third time lucky.
Really though on PC I’ll pay £39 for those games, but give it two weeks and they’ll be £28.
