And inFAMOUS Second Son is your deal of the week.
First up this week, first-person action survival game Dying Light. Roam a city devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help defeat the hordes of flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, beware the Infected as they grow in strength and even more lethal nocturnal predators leave their nests…
Elsewhere, one of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is back! Grim Fandango’s epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control better than ever.
Also out this week, episodic adventure game Life is Strange, rhythmic-puzzler Magical Beat and new costumes for LittleBigPlanet 3 based on some rather elusive creatures.
And lastly, if, for whatever reason you have yet to pick up inFAMOUS Second Son, then I’m happy to say that it is your deal of the week, so go grab it now!

I may turn out to become another copy-paste guy with this, but since I bought the device at launch, I would like to know about these things. And I’m sure many others do, too. So, Vita TV.
– So many non-touchscreen Vita games not compatible
– So many PS1 and PSP games not compatible that should not have any kind of problems with functionality whatsoever, like how can this even be possible
– Publishers/developers telling the problem with compatibility rests on Sony, Sony telling the opposite
– No YouTube application support
– The PSN Store shows only a handful of titles, some of which aren’t even compatible with the device and others (compatible ones) needing to be searched manually.
– Some of the text of transferred content in Scandinavian letters transform to Chinese/Japanese letters when transferred to the actual console.
Are you at least in progress in improving Vita TV’s situation? When can we expect an improvement regarding these matters? Just because the device may have not sold that much, doesn’t mean all the existing users and their needs should be ignored.
I have a solution for you, too – one up to date page for Vita TV, giving an accurate list of the compatible games and answers to all the possible questions the users may have, such as the ones above. It would show some good will from your part to actually acknowledge all the people who bought the device, and try to improve its situation.
Considering they’ve just announced they are pulling Near location functionality and the Youtube app without bothering to let us know why is there really any point in asking? The Vita is dead and by extension so is the Vita TV, I’m selling mine this weekend and am tempted to shift my PS4 and PS3 too.
YouTube app for PSTV is never going to happen, Google is about to cut support for their vita apps.
Also, how about making sure that DUALSHOCK 3 controllers are available? They seem to have all but vanished from Dutch online retailers, and from stores in my city (Utrecht). You sort of need one of these for the Playstation TV.
@Marvin-R
Thanks for the heads-up, I just found about it and I’m filled with even more questions. Most of them are “Why?”. Also, there are several “what in the ******” and “what the *******”, too.
This is so disappointing…I was actually sort of jealous when you were going on about its features…the excitement rising as I saw co-op in EDF 2017 on the horizon. Maybe I will buy one when shops start selling them in the clearance bin
The only thing that prevents me from selling my vita is that I can order games from Japan I want to play. If you go to most any online retailer in Japan the amount of content being released in the next couple of months is insane. So much that it seems the market is flooded with releases and the downside is being spoilt for choice.
Why would they get rid of the YouTube app!? It’s the only app I use on my Vita :( I know I can still watch YouTube videos through the browser, but the app is so easy to use!
The reason they’re pulling the YouTube app from the PS Vita is because after 20th of April, it’ll require the new YouTube API V3 because Google is shutting down their API V2 support. If that was not horrible enought a youtube application running version 3 also gets a certain amount of points to use everyday, if the amount of points gets exceeded the app will no longer be able to be used until the next day.
Totally agree
I have a Vita and a PS TV.
They NEED to sort out compatibility first and foremost.
ALL games the person owns should be playable on a PS TV unless they require the camera function.
With the knowledge that some of them may be in parts, unplayable.
ONLY games compatible with the PS TV should be viewable on the PS TV store and ALL games (like Danganronpa) should be compatible requardless of region.
So by default ALL games that don’t require the camera or touch screen should be on the PS TV store.
I scratch my head in this Sony world sometimes
YES! Very disappointed with not only the lack of Vita TV support but also the complete silence on Sony’s part, they yell and shout when they want to sell something but once we buy they act like it doesn’t exist. The same can be said about their 3D TV, PS Eye and Move.. they just sell and run with the money. It’s insulting, especially coming from a company as big as Sony.
