New T-shirts and a hoodie look to Kratos and co. for inspiration
We’ve had an awesome 2014, and we’ve been lucky enough to work alongside loads of amazing studios in the PlayStation family. That’s something we’ve carried on with our latest new range, creating two tees and a hoodie inspired by Santa Monica’s epic God of War series.
For us, God of War has been a major part of our gaming history – and we’ve enjoyed nearly a decade of hacking and slashing action, from the pits of Hades to the dizzying heights of Olympus. Kratos is one of the most iconic characters in gaming and we were extremely proud to have the opportunity to celebrate him in style with this new range.
We wanted to identify the elements that people instantly associate with the series – and Kratos and his amazing moves and weapons were definitely top of the list. Our two tees definitely reflect this – ‘Kratos Academy’ highlighting the main man’s military credentials, while ‘Blades of Chaos’ is a celebration of his signature tools of the trade. Both designs also take more subtle cues from the gaming world – with colourways, Spartan patterns and that signature ‘omega’ all adding to the finished designs.
And then there’s the flagship hoodie – and it’s pretty easy to spot where the inspiration came from, right? Kratos and his tattoos definitely needed something special and we think the finished hoodie looks awesome – capturing the ash grey and vivid red you instantly associate with everyone’s favourite demi-god. Simple, striking and something that other fans of the series will instantly reocgnise too.
And the best news? All three of these official, limited-edition designs are now available, exclusively on the Insert Coin web store. Both T-shirts are in stock and shipping right now too, while the ‘Ghost of Sparta’ hoodie is currently on pre-order and will be ready to ship in the next couple of weeks.
We’re hugely proud of this new addition to our line-up and we’re looking forward to adding even more PlayStation-inspired ranges in the coming weeks and months – so keep ’em peeled for even more news very soon!
