PlayStation Home update: Become a real explorer with the Sodium Blimp!

Home will briefly be offline from 8.00am BST on Wednesday 28th August for routine maintenance. Here’s what to expect after the update…

Sodium Blimp
Have you ever gazed out across Sodium’s baking desert landscape and wished you could get out there and explore? With the Sodium Blimp, Lockwood enables you to do just that. Search the salt flats for treasure, complete VICKIE objectives for stacks of Sodium Credits, or just drift around the sunny skies taking in the views.

Wellies
You may live in a part of the world where festivals mean good weather; where blue skies and warm evenings are guaranteed. But Lockwood HQ’s in the UK, where a rainstorm’s never far away. That’s why Lockwood created the perfect festival footwear – fashion wellies! Available in several colours in the store and Gift Machine, keep festival mud at bay without putting a dampener on your outfit.

Gardening
With this new range of plants and gardening outfits you can tame the outdoors, or even bring it indoors for a totally unique look. In the store you’ll find a great range of colourful flowers, attractive plants and even a garden ornament or two.

Killzone: Mercenary
Mercenary is coming to Home this week, with unique rewards coming straight from the guys at Studio Cambridge. Own poster art for your apartment by taking a look at the brand new trailer of the game!

Digital Leisure – Casino
The Lucky Fountain at the Paradise Springs Casino has a brand new reward just waiting for you to win. This month, if you’re lucky, you will receive The Colosseum ornament. Take home a little bit of Italy and place it in any personal space.

Footlocker
We’ve teamed up with Footlocker this week to bring you two free pairs of brand new Nike trainers for your avatar! These trainers are lovingly recreated from two exclusive Nike designs available only at Footlocker, to claim your virtual versions, simply visit the Footlocker plinth in Home Square and check out their video. We’ve also got another special surprise coming your way next week!

Codeglue – Sweet Boho
Codeglue and Home user Dani release their third clothing line, called Sweet Boho! Designed for Summer, these outfits come in a short and a long version in six very fresh colours. You can complement the outfits with elegant high heel shoes and/or stylish bracelets.

nDreams – Throne Locomotion
The Throne Locomotion is the perfect item for showing off in PlayStation Home. Run around in your favourite spaces and when you stop a throne magically appears for you sit on and look down upon your subjects.

Light Projectors
You will also have the chance to bring some colour and movement to your apartment with the two light projectors from nDreams. With one Static and one Spinning projector you can shine different shapes and colours into you apartment.

Morphsuits
This week marks the release by VEEMEE of the second selection of Morphsuits. Six more colours for both men and women, giving you even more choice!

Undead Animals
They might be old and a little decomposed but that isn’t going to stop them making fantastic companions! Be it the departed Dog, the ruined Raven, the Cat casualty, these loveable (albeit slightly decayed) companions deserve a caring home.

Catered Dining

Acorn Meadows Park

Konami – Motocross
This week there is a new line up of Motocross dirt bikes and Motocross gear. The dirt bike comes with custom animations and moves faster than normal running. Perform wheelies and pose next to your new bike in your matching gear.

Infinite Oasis

Other updates
Go on safari with three new companions from the plains of Africa – a Lion, crocodile and cheetah. Also spruce up your apartment with some animated window frames featuring snowy, beach, and garden scenes.
