  • So welcome back from holiday?

Looking forward to some new weekly competition where your personal favorite users (family members? friends?) win the prices :D

  • Welcome back Fred
Am curios as to what you got up to while you where away.
Did you just laze about all day in the sun somewhere or get some serious gaming done?…….or both?

    • Thanks! I spent a few days in rainy Brittany, and then came back to move house. Squeezed a fair bit of Stealth Inc in along the way on PS Vita. Great game!

  • Can someone explain why Michael Jackson the Experience HD has been taken from the store and if it will be returning soon? Tried asking for answers in the other thread with no success. Rather annoying; if the problem is not sorted soon then I’ll not be buying the games. Been trying to pick up MJEHD and Thomas was Alone since last night and one problem follows another. Frustrating as hell.

    • I’ll investigate MJ now. The Thomas discount should now be live – sorry for keeping you waiting there.

  • Well deserved! TLOU and Hotline Miami both rank high on my list of top games this gen.

But Motorstorm Apocalypse back on the list – that just makes me long for another proper Motorstorm game next gen. I hope that after DriveClub – Evolution will have the opportunity to make another Motorstorm. Preferably one with tracks similar to Pacific Rift, but with the leveling upgrades and customization of Apocalypse. Make it happen, Sony! :)

  • Welcome back Fred! Hope you had a good break :)

Charts got just in time, I was just thinking about them yesterday!
Looks like Naughty Dog got the crown this month with both, The Last of Us and good ol’ Crash Bandicoot (been replaying the series on Vita, it’s amizing how well they’ve aged).

Which brings me to the next question: Do you know if Crash Bandicoot is the most downloaded Classic title from the PlayStation Store?

I also didn’t know that the Magic PSN titles were so popular — guess I learnt something new today.

    • Ooh, I couldn’t say for sure re. Crash, but it would certainly be up there. Some of the GTAs and Final Fantasys might be in with a shout too.

  • Vice City would be up there had it not had a bunch of stuff removed, I rebought III and San Andreas despite owning the discs but I’m replaying Vice City (black label) on PS2 instead:

    10+ songs removed
    Tear Gas removed
Haitian Racism removed (wasn’t even that bad)
Blood Splatter on screen from chainsaw removed
    Police Radio glitched

I know some of these were removed on the PC/Xbox/Platinum releases but removing all those songs is ridiculous, they make more than enough to renew the licensing.

  • Glad to see the Recent Post Feed has finally been fixed. It had been stuck on ‘Stealth Inc releases this week’ for the past fortnight.

  • Welcome back Fred!!! The blog hasn’t been the same without ya! Hope you had a nice holiday

  • i hope to see ductails remastered riding high next month.

ill be buying next wed along with castle of illusion when its out

i hope that by showing support for 2d platformers i might get a quackshot remake

    • Yes, I’m looking forward to Duck Tails too! Very fond memories of the original, and Wayforward is a great dev team.

  • Crash 1-3 are in the top 5 and have sold over 500,000 copies, yet still not vita supported. Who do I have to, seriously, contact to get these games vita compatible?

  • @fred

they did a fantastic job on bloodrayne and from what i have seen of ducktails they are not going to disappoint.

good job too i need a kiddy style game as the twins decided the cartoons on the big tv were less interesting than me playing dmc on the portable and its not exactly age appropriate :)

  • Welcome back Fred as everybody has already said and I’m not sure if you know but is there any news on Ratchet Gladiator coming to the PSN? It’s has been in the US for a good month now

  • Looking at the Vita list it’s quite clear Sony has suceeded in making it an indie console. For good and bad.
I like many indiegames but the lack of bigger titles is disappointing. I haven’t bought a game for it in two months since I have played and finished most available titles.
Hope Killzone has alot of quality hours to fill the void.

Is there any news on approximate releasedates for:
Dead Nation, Rainbow Moon, GoW collection, Walking Dead in EU region for Vita?

    • Nothing firm on those titles yet. As soon as they’re locked down you’ll hear about it right here.

  • Welcome back Fred! Any chance you could see when we can expect Hotline Miami to be released in New Zealand? Seeing posts like this is one huge tease :(

  • Welcome back Fred, hope you had a great time.

Is there any chance Spelunky HD will be coming to PS Vita this month?
I just can’t wait to play it on the go.

  • Thank you, you’re my hero!

  • @fred

i held off on it for a long time because it was free on usa plus and at that time we were sharing lots of content, as time passed that changed and we started getting less psn games so i decided to buy it, i still have lots to do in it myself but its really good and was a great buy.
very castlevania inspired so if your a fan of that you will love it and not to mention its leaps and bounds better than the 3d bloodrayne games.

  • sorry to go off topic.

the spartacus servers seem to be working now and people who could not play it before should try again now as its all good.

  • Any news on Terraria for Vita? If not then it’s cool, I have the PC version to keep me going.

  • Thanks for the reply! Last thing I heard was that they had to submit it for classification in NZ. But that was back when Hotline was released…

  • Tomb Raider Survival Edition is 30€ over at 365games!

  • Sorry for the torrent of questions, but do you think you could pass along a bug query to the Vita dev team?

Ever since update 2.60, the VIta turns itself on either every 15 mins or when a friend comes online when the system is in standby mode.

From what i’ve read, there are a lot of people with this issue.

And thanks for the answer regarding Terraria. :)

  • fred are we getting any more PSone classics, i need wipeout 2097 and ridge racer revolution back in my life again.

  • I was wondering is it possible for Tales of destiny (ps 1) to be added to the PS store as a ps1 classic. Because sadly it never had an EU release but it did have an american release.
    Hope to hear something.

  • Seeing as the topic now is PS1 Classics, I would like to see Air Race, a THQ game, also called Bravo Air Race in the US.

  • Sony, you’re a giant joke!

You make laughably bad iOS promotional games using your Playstation franchises in the worst possible way – and you can’t even get PS mobile out to your customers across Europe. What are you thinking? You deserve all the ridicule leveled at this hilariously bad decision. It’s the most clueless and idiotic thing you’ve pulled in a while.

  • @Fred Dutton
I apologize for being a little off topic, but please give us some info on The Walking Dead DLC 400 Days for Russia. A month have passed since the international release and it’s still unavailable in Russia. Our questions are being ignored by TTG employees on their official forums =(((

  • @cowbana its perfect marketing-field for coke tho, young males who trust brands, because the always cheapest local water with some chemicals added which is coke, wouldnt sell on its own :D

but i agree its a very strange thing to take part in for sony in this way. Maybe they still want to test the “waters” for future sony phones

  • Do Naughty Dog have 7 games in the charts then? There must be some kind of record there…

  • we need Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks on PSN Store PS2 Classics.
(i will not stop until this is achieved on EU PSN Store) >:/

  • the last of us is amazing
