Hello, and greetings from Tokyo!
There’s only one place to start this week’s Recap and it is, of course, the news that the redesigned PlayStation 3 will be making its way to European shelves on 28th September. Available in both 500GB and 12GB flavours, the new PS3 is super slimline and will be joined by a huge selection of brilliant 1st and 3rd Party Titles at a bargain price as part of the new PS3 Essentials range. Check out all of those games and more on the smaller, lighter PS3 here.
PS Vita owners also have plenty to celebrate this week. We announced that PlayStation Plus will be making its way to Vita in November, with full games, big discounts and more coming as part of the PS Plus package. More soon. Elsewhere: Starhawk goes digital, GT5 expands and Borderlands 2 launches! It’s all here in this week’s PlayStation.Blog Recap!
One more thing: many apologies for the lack of a Weekend Debate yesterday but my travels this week got in the way of finalising a prize. This will return next Friday with some super-rare Sony Japan goodies up for grabs.
