You might remember that on April 20th, we opened an uber-cool competition that allows you all to design a treasure for Sly to steal, and get it transformed into a real in-game object in Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time. And win a PlayStation Vita with it!
Here’s a video from Sanzaru’s CEO Glen Egan to refresh your memory on the competition rules and mechanics:
I realised that some people might get scared when they are told to draw something, because they might worry about their artistic abilities.
So, I asked some PlayStation people here to discredit this myth and show you that you really don’t need to be Picasso to win this competition. Whether your drawing is complicated or simple, and even if you have no artistic ability whatsoever, it’s all about the idea and description! You just need to think of something cool you’d like Sly to steal during his missions and get the pencil (or mouse) going.
Check out this awesome swag bag by Andy Stewart:
Isn’t that yellow divine?
PS Plus Master Ross McGrath put together an image of some very cool aviator goggles, belonging to Mr. Otto van Cooper himself: “These are the flying goggles worn by Otto van Cooper during one of his daring dogfights, where he was forced to engage Clockwerk in his custom-built biplane in order to create a window for his escape! While not inherently valuable, they are an heirloom of the Cooper Clan and as such have great sentimental value for Sly.”
And, to complete the PSN Team, we have Jawad with a very cool Tengu Mask directly from the Feudal Japan level, where Sly will meet his wise ancestor Rioichi Cooper.
Blog Manager James Gallagher reasoned that, as a master of disguise, nothing would be more precious to him than a potted plant and comedy moustache and sideburns.
Next, a couple of masterpieces from the Product Management team.
Josh Walker, always on brand, delights us with a Sack Boy (slightly less colourful than usual but lovely as always). I wonder where Sly could find that.
And Rebecca Maschke, our Gravity Rush PM, had the most original idea: a royal tail brush!
And finally, one from me: Sir Galleth Cooper’s precious Jousting Helmet, from when he was still a young chap trying to become the powerful knight he is when Sly meets him. Can you find the Sly Cooper symbol?
OK, the exhibition is now over! I hope you appreciated our efforts and that you’ll join the fun!
It’s super-easy: just head over to this link and submit your entry together with a short description to get the chance to see your design in-game and win a PS Vita!
Remember: no living animals, no weapons of any type! And most importantly, it has to be a drawing made entirely by you – so no pictures or modified images. Yes Ross, we know you cheated.
Other than that…free your imagination, and in few months you might be able to steal your own treasure!
