  • This is a really good idea. Any information on how much each of the other eleven DLC’s will be each?

    • There will be another eleven test blocks. These will be broken up into two or three more DLC packs. The following packs should be around 1.50-2.00 euros each

  • This actually sounds pretty interesting, going to give it a go later on :-)

  • bill this game sounds good but will it come availble in the Netherlands playstatation because it came not yesterday

  • bill look to this

TestYourself: Psychology (£2.39/€2.99) Rating: PEGI 3
Availability: Not available in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Switzerland and Ukraine File Size: 33 MB

i am realy dont understand this because all your game was coming to the Netherlands store

  • the first test is about you intellect, to see rather your stupid or not, test it by seeing if you buy the game or not :P

(this is just my opinion and I can’t prove that you are stupid if you buy it)

  • I was on the store earlier on downloading the killzone 3 demo and noticed the image is missing of the psn store in Ireland for this game.

    Heads up ^^

  • Probably end up buying this for the cheap price. Love these sort of games/tests. :)

  • “will understand the complex characteristics of their states of mind”
At least it doesn’t claim to “improve your brain” which has been shown to be nonsense. But claiming it provides a “professional assessment” is stretching it somewhat… I would stick to saying it’s a fun introduction to the subject of Psychology.

    • Well it is certainly a fun introduction to psychology. In designing this game we actually worked very closely with professionals in the fields of psychology and consoling. You should try it out and see what you think. You might be surprised :)

  • I think I too stupid to even comprehend what the heck this thing is. After reading the info in the original post I’m not really sure.

    • Too stupid!? Horse malarkey! Give it a shot and see what you think. The game was designed so that even people who don’t really know anything about psychology can use and enjoy it.

  • Your making a lot of claims here! I hope I don’t have to read in a few months that these tests are bogus.

  • Care to hint at what tests we can expect next? :p

Will be picking these up, could be useful for my Psychology ‘revision’ ;)

  • I understand that Bill, but, as I’m sure your professionals would agree, for a “professional assessment” meeting a Psychologist face to face would be a good start(if not essential). I don’t deny it probably is fun and interesting for people to learn about the subject, but the spiel employed should be tempered, it wreaks of what brain games do.

  • Dear Angel! Of course working with a good Psychologist face to face is much better than any test. But let’s be honest – how many of us will actually go to a Psychologist? But we can all use TestYourself :)

    • That’s a good point Lanoris :) One of our goals was to provide an affordable and accessible game that would provide an accurate psychological portrait. It’s tough to beat the kind of one on one analysis you would get from a psychologist, but I think we did a pretty good job :)

  • I actually really enjoyed the first two tests, they were surprisingly accurate (Even if I wouldn’t like to admit the results) and the library section has also taught me a bit about how neurons etc. work, so I’ll definitely be buying the other packs.

Although there seems to be a lot of skepticism around it, but I do think it gives a good general overview. Although I don’t think I saw a message on startup or anything, but I think there should be one just saying something like:
“This game is designed to give you an overview of your psychological condition, using tested methods and advice from professional psychologists, although in order to get a detailed evaluation, it’s advised to see a psychologist face to face”.

Or something like that, just so that people don’t expect it to be like a £100 an hour session rolled into a PSN game. It’s still brilliant none the less in my opinion. I like the comparisons of average reaction times and stuff. Good work.

    • I’m happy to hear that you like it peetee36! It is hard to beat the skepticism with things like this, but I think the game will speak for its self as time goes on :)

  • I also liked it, even if I do “suck” at these two first blocks :D I’m just too relaxed to work under that kind of pressure :D

  • I do love learning about myself and others through psychology.

I think I’ll pick this up in the weekend. :)

  • How about a game that requires you to use your brain ? Like Cuboid. Please release another add-on for the best Creat Studios’s game !

  • What happens if I find out i’m a psychopath – a trophy?

  • What about the actual depth of the “diagnosis” these tests provide. For example, will a person be able to discern from these games whether they are suffering from depression or not, or just find out about some personality traits based on the answers?

The answer to this question might very well influence my eventual purchase of this game. Thanks :)

    • This game is meant to lead people in the right direction. It is meant to present a psychological portrait so that people might better understand themselves. You are only going to be able to get a diagnosis of depression from an actual doctor. They will be able to help you work through this depression with either therapy or medication. This game will help to show you if you might want to consider seeing a professional or not. I hope this answers your question :)

  • sorry but we are going to get good web browser. the ps3 web browser is not good

  • It’s okay, I already know I’m crazy. : P

  • hey hey

If anyone is wondering how they can easily make claims about “professional” test should really put their fears aside. Personality tests are very very commonplace and are widely available.

Seeing this presented as a game is a modern and very current way of delivering the content. With the advent of “Brain Training” which do make false claims to improve your IQ this however serves only to show an insight into your personality.

What Creat should do is make a more valid claim by citing the details of how it was all generated, what measures they are using, and any accreditations they have.

Feel free to googamagle “Hans Eysenck”
Feel free to take the numerous FREE personality test that are available online; including one on the BBC website.

    @Bill Fryer
Will the data be harvested in any way ?
What are your liabilities with the potential dangers of making these claims ? Any profile generated will have a consequence to the user and negative psycological test results are not exactly known for their positive impact on their profilees. I hope your disclaimers are up to date.

    • No one is going to be “labeled” through this game. Also a person’s results are their own, we are not collecting data. This game is meant to present a fun, affordable, and educational psychological profile for people. If someone wants to share their results that is their prerogative.

  • hmmm so does this replace the MMPI test because taking a test with around 4,000 questions was just oh so much fun – especially the can you spot the subtle changes in the sentence structure of question like “do you dislike your mum”

have to say that even though i’m an atheist that if answering the question “do you believe you are a secret service agent of god?” i will always have to answer yes – if you ask a stupid question then you will get a stupid answer

are the little red and white blocks included as they were always top fun?

  • When is it coming to Belgium?

  • Bought it and did the Nervous system test,
Apparently I have a slow response? And shouldn’t do things that require a quick reaction….. which is kinda worrying as i’m a professional Skydiver!

  • @24 to 28

no need for a psych exam to see that you may have a problem.

  • To hollandnigel
reaction speed depends on time of day, fatigue, your concentration and so on. Try to repeat test at the morning with the best concentration, that you can

  • Will the nest blocks be free or will you charge as much for two blocks as you did for the firs ones? I didn’t quite like the intelligence test, mostly because I had expected some kind of puzzles other than “look at pictures and choose the correct one”. In other words, it would be great if you guys could include something more original than the average IQ test gives you.

  • I am qualified to honors degree level & have a responsible multi skilled job in engineering (draughtsman) in a company that manufactures safety equipment. I am an ex-skydiver, 8hrs of Private Pilot License training & I am current fully qualified cross country paraglider & speedflyer.

My result; “Your intelligence score is low, if you get the same result again, that probably means that your intellectual abilities are not very high. Usually people with this intelligence level need more time to switch from one activity to another. You shouldn’t engage in dangerous activities. You are probably a poor learner. Your response time is a bit slower than average, it is a good idea to avoid activities that require a rapid response. You are better suited to working with people & animals than driving a vehicle. You can engage in intense work for quite a while but without too much enthusiasm. You aren’t keen on extreme situations, pushing yourself to the limit.”

    Absolutely speechless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry but we are going to get good web browser. the ps3 web browser is not good so what we to so help me and Fifa street 3 I try play online It so sad :(
