You’re Invited: PlayStation Showcase broadcasts live today, May 24 at 1pm Pacific Time

A wealth of new games and new IP are headed to PS5 and PS VR2.

It’s almost time to see what’s next — PlayStation Showcase broadcasts live next Wednesday, May 24 at 1pm Pacific Time / 9pm British Time.

The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.

The live broadcast starts next Wednesday, May 24 at 1pm Pacific Time / 9pm British Time on YouTube and Twitch. Hope to see you there!

    This should for the gamers that bought a PS5 either since launch, or recently, which is me,focused on Playstation exclusives…an then have a small show later for those PC peoples…an like Jim Ryan said it…” Let The Games do the Talking ” unlike That Phil Spencer guy,he love to talk,an then Contradict himself, everytime he talk,it never makes any sense..nobody bought a game console to see CEO an Boring Suits dudes all on TV, doing the Puff Daddy .. we buy console to play games..game,an game..

    Like everyone I’m very excited about this. But really PlayStation, the most thing I hope for is that you reverse the poor decision to end Dreams and announce an update for ps5 and psvr2. It’s not that I don’t understand the financial burden. But a company stands to gain and lose a lot more than immediate profit. With Dreams you were growing the future of indie games (including VR games) and loyalty of future indie devs, everyone learning game development on it first and foremost wants to contribute to PlayStation. When people fail to play Dreams they always blame themselves not the game. I hope you’ll believe in the project you started. Thanks as always for everything PlayStation.

    COLONY WARS PSVRemake, please?

    Astro Bot and WipEout Omega ports would be already awesome and honestly absolutely necessary, as there is no backwards compatibility.

    And please reconsider patching the PS5 Media Player to display VR Videos correctly in PSVR2, thanks.

      I never had an original PSVR, but a WipEout game on VR2 would be sick, especially if they manage full-resolution visuals + 120 Hz like Red Matter 2. Doesn’t matter to me whether it’s a port of Omega Collection or an entirely new game, just make it please!

    Low expectations from Playstation this generation. Still waiting for new announcements and games to really look forward to (other than FF7 Rebirth, which was already confirmed being a trilogy). Hoping for a lot of new IP’s, getting sick of the constant sequels and trilogy’s and talented developments teams stuck on the same projects for years on end. Hoping most of those new IP’s AREN’T multiplayer games! Hope PS VR2 is kept to a minimum and doesn’t take up too much time, keep that for separate showcases for those who care.
    Other than that I don’t really care about hardware revisions or new controllers or whatever, feels like we got more of that than actual software this gen.

      I was never a huge GT fan but loved GT5 and Sport, and GT7 just doesn’t do it for me, somehow… I would so love to see Motorstorm revived, preferably from the original Evolution studios devs getting back together again. That series perfectly complemented the more serious GT for me. Driveclub deserved better too.

    We better not see and hear anything PC-related during this showcase. Gamers have waited over a year and a half to hear about Playstation-related content. Customers have invested to the console for the next 6 to 8 years, so there is an obligation that support of this platform provides their money’s worth of investment.

    Can’t wait, especially for the PS VR2 content. We’re pretty well covered for nice-looking indie titles this year, so hopefully we get a few nice AAA surprises with VR support.

    Why you don’t make this stream easily available to watch on my PS5 is mind blowing… I can’t easily pull it up on youtube, as there’s no way to filter search results for live streams, and there’s no link to it in the PlayStation Store… a huge missed opportunity to market to your players.
