  • It would be nice 3 meter controller cable come standard when u buy console or separately purchase controller with included cable,I like wired more then wireless coz battery is bad on brand new controller charging all the time that’s why 3 meters cable must be standard too

  • Looking forwards to it but

    1. I want it in pink!!
    2. Why so so expensive in the uk? I know the £ has tanked but still! It should be around £176 not more £s than $s….

  • The only useful feature are the adjustable trigger stops imo (and that was a feature I was hoping for in the default model, never liked the slower triggers). If you could replace the joysticks entirely (not just the caps) this would be interesting (just got a new one due to stick lag) as a pro controller, minus the back buttons which I hate. Other than that I think it’s ugly with the plastic around the joysticks, the different touch pad and the back buttons in general.

    • Disregard that, didn’t know you could switch out the joystick modules entirely. That and the trigger stops are very nice features. For my part you could’ve left out the back buttons, made them into a separate attachment and cut down the price on this.

  • Way too expensive and honestly not worth it.

You guys didn’t even address the D-Pad, it’s the same bad piece of plastic from the original controller.
It’s a pain to play fighting games on dual sense because of how bad the D-pad is and misses directional movement.

  • flawed design

    max greed

Xbox announced customizable design labs elite 2 comtrollers today 🤩

How you guys are going nutz for this and they couldn’t be bothered to fix the horrible dpad downgraded from ds4 and didn’t even bother with 4 paddles among the rest of the issues for hundreds of dollars in white and black .

I don’t see it, if they made this truly top tier they could could charge this as is i expect scal pers will have a hard time moving this thing past the 13 people excited for this “esports” edition controller.

It’s a hard pass for me, doesn’t fix the issues with the dual sense i actually have, greedy lazy Sony is back.

  • There’s one question I have. Do the right side buttons feel different on this controller? For competitive gaming I’d rather have a faster response button that the mushy feel we got with the Dualsense. I preferred much more the Dualshock 4 that the current gen, and even more on the Razer Raiju Ultimate. Love everything else we’re being shown here, but for the price I’d make sure they got everything right in making this controller.

  • Very cool! I’d like info on the battery life. Is it improved over the regular Dual Sense? I love the DS 5 but at a little under 2 years old mine both die like within an hour or 2 now and sometimes they don’t seem to take a full charge. Not sure if it could be related to leaving them on the dock all the time….

    • My launch Dualsense has a faulty usb c port so it stops charging intermittently. Horrible battery too.

    • Yep mine are both launch as well, so they’re getting a bit old. I have a friend who has only had ps5 for like 2 months and he says both of his die super fast already. He also uses the official dock, like I do.

  • I bought the Elite Series 2 controller for $180 when it came out. Has 4 paddles and an incredible battery life. The extra $20 for this isn’t that bad but I think the Series 2 has much more bang for your buck.

  • £210!!! Haha no thanks.

  • Does this fit on the ps5 charging dock for charging?

  • Take my money! Definitely pre-ordering this controller

  • Does anyone know if the sticks are “Hall Effect” sticks or just the same ol’ garbo?

  • This looks so awesome I cannot wait to get this controller in my hands!!!

  • Can’t wait to pre-order Playstation DuelSense Wireless Controller. It’s actually my first time using Playstation Wireless Controller.

  • I paid $70 for my dualsense plus $35 for an extremerate 2 button mod kit. I’ll pay an addtional $100 for removable, recalibratable analog sticks + the ability to use OEM domed sticks (like the ps1/ps2/ps3) and a chargeable USB case.

PS4/PS5 donut thumbsticks are the absolute worst as your thumbs don’t stay fixed on one spot at any time, they just slide around, never had this issue with ps1/ps2/ps3 sticks. I used to import knockoff domed sticks, but you have the grind the base and the rubber doesn’t last.

I understand for many $200 sounds like too much for a controller, but in no way is this expensive for what it offers. Doesn’t mean it’s worth it for everyone and doesn’t mean it’s cheap, but it’s also not expensive if you understand what I’m saying.

This new controller will be heaven.

  • Just need Sony to wake up and give us a proper Socom 2+Combined Assault+Confrontation HD remake with online play and a new Socom game that follows Socom 2 and not Socom 4. And leave the politically correct stuff at the house if you finally decide you want to make money on an older game.

  • What a ridiculous price. I bet they still use those awful potentiometers with a crazy high failure rate too. If you buy this, and you’re not rich, then you’re a fool.

  • The analog sticks are modular which means if you get drift on one just swap it out with another, simple and easy man!

    • Every controller that had drift had been replaced by the place I Bought them from.
All under warranty. Also I paid insurance on my last one too. Which also got replaced. That 3 black controllers. 2 were replaced.
Original white one in the Box was replaced.
I then bought a second which also got replaced. So I have 2. My wife also has 2.
She has 2 white. And I have a white and a black.

But in reality Playstation need to make a Dualsence 2 that fixes all the issues. Never paying almost €300 for a controller.
I’ll buy another PS5. Or the PS5 Pro when it launches

  • Any chance it can fix the grips so they don’t cause Carpel Tunnel flare up? That would be great.

  • Where are the exclusives Mr. Ryan?

  • Waaaaayyyyyyy too expensive!!!!!!!

  • Being able to finetune dead zones is a pretty big sell. But that pricepoint is a tough pill to swallow lol.

  • Without 4 extra buttons this edge will be pretty dull indeed -the standard and expected extra button count is four if Sony shorts us 2 buttons I’ll have to look elsewhere though I can’t believe they would leave 2 extra buttons off and come out under the standard set by skuff and others

My custom layout requires the 4 extra buttons and 2 is two buttons two few to function properly

I really wanted the edge but Sony don’t let me down

  • i said ain’t no running from that edge, know i’m coming, them players fear me, blrrd, blrrd

  • With the controls I’ve designed you’ll be able to move and look at the same time as you can dodge roll and attack without having to move your thumb off the thumstick to do anything face buttons, or your shoulder buttons

That’s the point of having f-o-u-r Extra buttons again two is just 2 few as you’re going to have to move your thumb from free look to a button that you could’ve doubled up

For $200 I better be able to access 4 extra buttons not 2 wasted buttons

  • ¥30,000 yen for a controller Sony!? Are you kidding me? April 1st is too far away for this to be a prank. All this only for a tiny bit of modularity. And you have to buy the sticks separately too? Forget that nonsense. Expect to see scalper prices on top of the ridiculous msrp. It’s basically just an $80 dual sense with a few extra features. But three times the price. Would rather invest in a Scuff controller at that price point. Huge fail and another L for Sony. Sad times.

  • Btw I really want to be able to move share to the options side and options to the shar side as a lefty not being able to move these buttons is frustrating

  • White, white or white? No colour options for a mere 20-30$ more?

  • 240+25= 265?

Or let’s say 4 Dualsence controllers.

Seen as I currently own 4. And have had 3 white and one black already replaced. I don’t think the value is there for the Edge.

  • Nice, but why so much cheaper in usa

  • Was looking forward to this but there is no way in hell I’m dropping £210 on a controller! Some

  • Other than the 4 extra buttons something else Sony needs to do is create a custom button user generated content section on the PlayStation Store

Remember people are buying skins for fortnight and cosmetic stuff so an actuality useful game changing piece of content available for purchase on the PlayStation store industry changing and while Xbox has 2 elite pads Sony will be ahead of the curve if they do this

What is this for well after you use the button mapping feature on the PlayStation 5 to customize your edge then you upload the layout tied to your psn id and Sony can sell the controller layout as content on the PlayStation store

Sony would sell your controller layout and take a hosting fee but then you the creator of the controller layout would be paid monthly in your checking account

Obviously the more popular a layout is the more you’d make after Sony took a cut they are selling your controller layout on their store so free money for having gamers post their content for sale on their store and after you purchase a layout you can install it by downloading it to be listed in your button manager with multiple layouts bindable you could have a fully customizable layout and not have to do any of the work making it all up

  • Might sound like a dumb question but Is the retail price for the Stick Modules (£19.99) are for 1 stick or 2?

If it’s for 2 then I think it’s a potentially good long term purchase but I ain’t paying £40 every time them things drift!

Although tbh shouldn’t be on my 3rd controller in 1 year due to faulty equipment but that’s another issue

  • I need it to be purple, or just black, but preferably purple.

  • It’s been TOO LONG. Can’t wait.

  • You know I’m 47 years old, I’ve been buying Sony’s console since day one of the original playstation launch. I’ve never switched. But I have to question whether I want to continue buying Sony. The pricing for this controller is unjustifiable and just comes over as pure greed and to be honest the company should design an actual controller for launch that has these features as standard rather than shipping something that alienates their base in competitive online games which make up the bulk of the top AAA games out there. £200 + is just, pure green. Why launch a controller they know is gonna dent your ability to compete online ? If your gonna sell an enhanced controller dont charge ludicrous prices and hold your base to ransom in order to actually be competitive in an online competitive game. Theres really no joy in gaming otherwise.

  • I have 3 Dualsense controllers and 2 have joystick drift. In comparison, I have the same amount of PS4 controllers and none of them have drift after many years of use. I hope the built quality for this controller and the Dualsense improves significantly. The feel of the Ps5 controllers is great, but so far, time has proven these controllers are not built to last.

  • Was really looking forward to this but the pricing is quite staggering. Almost half the price of the console is just absurd. And what happens if it develops stick drift, like the 3 normal controllers I’ve had? Very disappointing.

  • guess i’ll be buying

  • Whilst I understand the appeal for some people, this isn’t one that is for me unless I can review one!!

It’s priced too much out of my range

  • If you’re going to buy it. Great. Good luck.
If you’re not going to buy it. Great. Good luck…but SHUT UP MOANING ABOUT IT HERE.

    • It’s called giving feedback – Stop moaning about people moaning, it’s actually even MORE annoying

    • You don’t tell people to be silenced. It’s called constructive criticism. You can’t expect everyone to like certain product(s). Thus, feedback is necessary to make future products better!

  • People have seemed to forget that the Xbox elite s2 is $180 and a scuf is $200. This is right in line with other controllers like this.

  • Create problem: Stick drift.

    Sell solution: Replacement parts.

    Thanks Jim Ryan.

  • How can I pre-order this in Jakaerta Indonesia? Thanks.

  • Is the dpad improved or is it still useless for fighting games?

  • Doesn’t seem as good as Xbox’s Elite controllers, and yet more expensive. I knew you would do this and take advantage of the PlayStation brand. Heading in an Apple direction, I see. When you added back buttons to the Dualshock 4 at the tail end of the PS4 era via a rare/expensive peripheral, I was hoping you would add back buttons to the PS5 controller as a default. I am still so disappointed at this missed opportunity. Ever since getting my hands on the Steam controller, I’ve been thinking back buttons is the LEAST the 3 console companies could do with their controllers going forward that would make the most impact. It should be standard by now. The Steam controller wasn’t even expensive despite how packed with extra features it was. With this price point, you might as well forego the Sony attempt and go SCUF or something.

  • Also, the glossy black and new touchpad are hideous, it was better blank. Same with the black buttons. Just all around hurts to look at.

  • Ridiculous price point for this controller. Massive shame. Also wtf Sony charging higher in GBP when it’s the stronger currency. Really “for the players” Sony way to go
