New recommended retail price coming to select markets in the EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions, plus Canada.
The global economic environment is a challenge that many of you around the world are no doubt experiencing. We’re seeing high global inflation rates, as well as adverse currency trends, impacting consumers and creating pressure on many industries. Based on these challenging economic conditions, SIE has made the difficult decision to increase the recommended retail price (RRP) of PlayStation 5 in select markets across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), Latin America (LATAM), as well as Canada. There will be no price increase in the United States.
The new RRPs below are effective immediately unless otherwise noted.*

PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4. I’ve owned all of these and I will never buy another Sony console because of your petty and disingenuous BS over the Microsoft/Activision acquisition.
Well you have lost me Sony.
Considering I have waited 2 years to buy a console while not supporting scalpers, which you have done nothing to combat, then it won’t be a stretch to wait a few more years till the PS5 is readily available and goes on sale.
Might have to look into Xbox or PC in the mean time, Sony exclusives are not something that would keep me loyal to your product.
I’m not happy with sony of this decision and the fact of the pandemic and pricing are rising up and getting more expensive, I highly offended by this action and we have the right to be mad at sony for this, This is taking to a next level and they’re playing as the villian.
