It’s been more than two months since our last State of Play – who’s ready for a new one? Tune in live next Thursday, June 2 for nearly 30 minutes of announcements and updates from the world of PlayStation.

We’ll have some exciting reveals from our third-party partners, plus a sneak peek at several games in development for PlayStation VR2. Watch over at Twitch or on YouTube starting 3pm Pacific / 6pm Eastern / 12:00am CET.

    Sony continues to sell the PS5 straight to scalpers! Why do they think a player should pay DOUBLE for hardware? Clearly, Jim Ryan is an IDIOT and needs to be FIRED! Sony has already LOST this generation and leaving Ryan is insane. Their new PS Plus will fail. See the latest numbers showing subs dropping by the MILLIONS!

    Please Sony, finally come to your senses and bring back COLONY WARS from the depths of your backlog dungeon and PSVRemake the whole trilogy, just imagine how insane these games would look and feel like in PSVR2?? And the best part, they’d work flawlessly on a flat screen too.

      That game is canceled, as is “Wild”.

      Michel Ancell is long gone from UBI on top of having abusive boss/studio allegations.

      Ubi has a lot of that, Sexual impropriety and the rest, Ancell apparently was just a massive controlling AHole.

      the last BGE2 cinematic was just a monied up “hip” coarse language fest. The vertical slice “gameplay” was thin. Ubi only cares about live services in any case.

      I’d stop holding your breath for things like bge2 and rockstars agent etc, they are never happening

      BGE2 could happen as they own the ip bought it would be a new from the ground up take on it with new creative team. Frankly the first game was good but didn’t sell at the time, not this situation where we are waiting for this great game franchise to return. Ubi is Ubi they make their type of games which frankly aren’t like platform holder 1st party ip. Just how it is.

    What is the point of this State of Play anyway?
    You can’t get a PS5 as it is. It has been 2 years now and the damn thing is still not on shelves. This is ridiculous. By the time you can walk into a store and buy a PS5 the PS6 will be coming out.

    Come on Sony. This is getting ridiculous. I can find Xboxes all over the place. Why is it that they can get them on the shelves?
    I want to play 4K Discs. I want to play next gen games. I have been with PlayStation and only PlayStation from the beginning, but if Sony can’t get this thing on the shelves, then I have to look elsewhere for my Next Gen Gaming, don’t I?

    PlayStation change so much since I have been away for a while on blog. New PS membership don’t like it much. Why? Increase price from normal membership PS Plus is now called PS Plus Essential for $60 (I remember it was just $40-50 at best) then we got PS Plus Extra $100, and finally PS Plus Premium $120. PS4 can’t even play Final Fantasy 7 Remake DLC add-on due to some makes no sense reason and I can’t even get a hold of PS5 still because i’m always busy and no time to sign up for when it pops up so I can get one. I did sign up and never make it in time which is sad. So i rebought the game for PC, i said screw it. Only Time i use my PS4 or PS3 sometimes for older games when i want to have fun. I hear PS3 was going to be shut down too but was put on hold until Sony decides to fully shut it down for good. I think its bad move to do since we can’t sync PS3 game trophy’s if it did happen. ALSO please offer a way to delete games trophy’s from 100% or lower then current one set please. I want to remove games i can’t do no more since the online for those games are shut down now. Please don’t add no more online trophy’s if the game shuts it down. ITS a nightmare and pain stuck with it. I can hide them but it won’t change the fact i have it still. I’m done ranting i doubt Sony/PlayStation will listen to what i say anyway since i’m nobody with no say or power in the company path. :(

    Sony is resisting any day one Sony titles from going on their service. No problem, but for Sony to continue to keep their games as exclusive could really hurt them. If Microsoft decides not to PLAY NICE, Call of Duty, Skyrim, Fallout, Doom, Starfield … could all be made Xbox exclusives. If some good decisions that have been missing are not made soon, Sony will be dominated! Jim Ryan must be FIRED!
