Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection – Details on the remastered bundle

PS5 release date, updates and an Uncharted movie ticket limited time offer

We’re excited to share our latest trailer for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, remastered for PS5 and coming to PC for the first time ever in the series. Our upcoming release includes the single-player experiences of the award-winning Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which features Nathan Drake’s weary return to his old ways and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, a breakout story for antagonist turned ally, Chloe Frazer.  Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available on PS5 on January 28. For those of you who cannot wait to get your hands on the PC version, stay tuned for more details from us on specs and the upcoming release date.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection – Details on the remastered bundle

Of course, experiencing the over-the-top blockbuster action and adventure that both games are renowned for has been greatly improved to compliment and take advantage of the features the PlayStation 5 console is known for so let’s get into just that.

First off, graphic updates. Here’s a look at the options players can select from:

  • Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
  • Performance Mode – Performance Mode targets a 60 FPS frame rate.
  • Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps* at a 1080p resolution.

*Requires a compatible 120hz display.

Thanks to the power of the PS5 console, the load time is near instant so you can jump into the action faster than Nate or Chloe can draw their weapons (which, if you’ve seen Chloe take on a band of mercenaries before, is pretty fast). Enjoy Spatial 3D Audio* and know where the shots are coming from and immerse yourself in the ambience of the locations across both games. With the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, we’ve fine-tuned the rumble and resistance here: feeling the 4×4 vehicles roll along in your hands or landing a punch and then rope swinging to safety has never been so rewarding.

*3D Audio via built-in TV speakers (setup and update to the latest system software required) or analogue/USB stereo headphones.

  • So just to be clear, if I have uncharted 4 on disk. I can upgrade to the remaster for £10? I get the disk needs to be inserted to play, just wanted to clarify the pricing please

    • So long as you have the physical copy inserted, you can take advantage of the $10 price upgrade.

This is the same upgrade path used for Death stranding DC.

    • Yup, unless you have the Digital PS5 since you obviously can’t insert disks into it.

    • They’re starting to release ps5 games on PC closer to day and date. 😜 There’s gonna be some angry PS-only owners.

    • @alkalinetp

Which is ridiculous. It doesn’t hurt anyone for a game to be able to be played on another platform. That said, there are MANY people such as myself who own a top end 3090 gaming PC, PS5, Series X and Nintendo Switch. We couldn’t be happier that it’ll be coming to PC also where the ultimate experience will be to play these games.

    • @alkalinetp We all, including you, assumed this was launching on both in March or April. So if anything else, this change in expectancy caught you off guard lol. Better luck next time Xbot.

If you’re such a PC advocate, then why do gou play every single one of your Xbox games on the inferior platform available, an Xbox console? 🤪

    • exactly. 10 bucks for a patch. got to love modern gaming.

    • AndrewSquall – You’re that kid who makes up random lies to pass as fact so you can try to look better in your arguments – actually makes you look like a desperate liar. Keep trying hard, little guy.

    • listen to Ed’s journey in to the new world.

Patches used to be free, new guy.

    • Home cash earning job to earns more than $500 per day. getting paid weekly more than $3.5k or more simply doing easy work online. no special skills required for this job and regular earning from this are just awesome.====> 𝗪𝘄𝘄.𝗡𝗘𝗧𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗛𝟭.𝗖𝗼𝗺

  • So I have a disc version of UC4, and a purchased digital version of LL. Does the $10 upgrade apply to both, or is it $10 each?

    • To both.

    • Seems like us fans who already bought both get the worst end of the deal here, eh?

    • Home cash earning job to earns more than $500 per day. getting paid weekly more than $3.5k or more simply doing easy work online. no special skills required for this job and regular earning from this are just awesome.
      ===> 𝗪𝘄𝘄.𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝟭.𝗖𝗼𝗺

    • This is what confuses me, because I got LL when it was still just in the “expansion season pass” thing before it became a full story thing. I have U4 on disc but LL digitally through that… so can I keep it digital and upgrade LL or do I need the disc?

  • At least you added the $10 upgrade option… Now can we also get the Nathan Drake Collection upgraded and ported to PC?

  • Thanks for the $10 upgrade option. Can’t wait to replay it!

    • Thanks? Most other games are doing this for free. Silly gamers.

    • But unlike like Death Stranding that had a raft of changes and additions, this is identical to the original release, even down to the PS4 Pro visual set.

Yeah, thanks for charging us PlayStation.

    • You guys need to realize that the games that did it for free had PC counterparts and could pretty much ported over to consoles. These games never had PC ports and studios needed to work on them. So basically you don’t want them to get paid for working on these ports?

  • “PlayStation Plus members who claimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End via their PlayStation Plus subscription are not eligible for the $10/€10 digital PS5 upgrade.” I bought it, so this doesn’t affect me, but why not?

    • Because they’re greedy. They did this with the “free” PS+ Final Fantasy VII Remaster, where you couldn’t buy the upgrade to the PS5 version if you redeemed it, and had to pay full price for the PS5 version (I didn’t, because I have principles)

  • Very confused by this wording:

“Performance Mode – We carried over the high framerate PS4 patch with Performance Mode”

What do they mean by this?

    • I guess there’s already a 60fps patch, so they packaged it in with the other options, which are new.

    • They’re implying there’s a 60fps patch for the PS4 version but there is no such patch (game runs at 30fps on PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5)

    • that they likely were making patches for both uncharted 4 and lost legacy and decided to make native versions rather than patch them.

    • I’m also confused by this. I don’t recall there ever being a high FPS patch for the PS4 versions, and I can’t find anything via Google except an unofficial patch.

Will owners of the PS4 version be able to play their existing copy at 60fps on PS5, or will we need to upgrade to the remaster? Thanks in advance.

  • So if I own both Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy, is it $10 per game to upgrade or $10 total?

  • I bought The Lost Legacy digitally but got Uncharted 4 as part of the PS Plus program (then again as part of the PS Plus Collection), will I still be eligible to the 10€ upgrade?

    • Yes, having bought any of the games listed (either digital or physical) qualifies you for the upgrade offer

    • I’m excatly in the same situation than you and it’s not clear to me either. I bought LL so should be eligible but will my U4 as a PS plus game cancel it ? I hope it won’t, this would be crazy…
      Moreover, as a PS5 digital owner I can’t buy a physical copy of U4…

  • Xbox version, please

    • Hey, The Uncharted brand is owned and developed by Sony. It is highly unlikely to ever appear on Xbox consoles or Xbox for PC. It will be available for Steam on PC later in 2022 though so if you don’t own a PlayStation console you can play it there.

    • Be gone xboner.

    • If you give us Halo series then I’m ok with it.

    • It’d be cool! more people should get to experience this game. although as someone else said, it wont happen. It belongs to Sony.

  • A PC release quickly after Bastille Day would be nice. 👀

  • Actively dislike Playstation business decisions right now.

Purchased the disc version Day 1 of Uncharted 4. Got rid of the disc when it came to PS+. Now this upgrade won’t apply to my situation.

Playstation showing they are in the lead and don’t care.

    • Have some personal responsibility. You got rid of the disc. That’s on you.

    • Since you got rid of the disc, you were sure that you were not gonna play it again. Why whine here?

    • Sure blame Sony for your dumb mistake. Typical entitled “gamer”.

    • Plus if you plan to repurchase the stand alone digital version of U4, you’re out of luck ’cause it got delisted. You now have only one option: buy the collection at full price, double dipping.

    • LOL You got rid of the disc and yet you have the audacity to blame Sony here? This is sillier than porting these games to PC (which is already a travesty, mind you).

    • you can get the disc version of the game for like $10. just buy the disc again then get the upgrade.

    • I knew this collection was coming so I went to my local dollar store and picked up a new copy of Uncharted 4 for $3CAD. I also see Uncharted 4 in almost every thrift store I go in and prices have ranged from $1CAD-$8CAD so it should be easy to find cheap.

    • Go buy a used disc for 3 dollars. You should never get rid of your physical copies for PS+ versions.

      1) You don’t own them. Says it right in the agreement. You have them so long as your PS+ and so you’re basically renting the game from sony for a yearly subscription fee. They are under no obligation, nor should it be expected of them to provide you with free upgrades. Unless you paid for it, then you have no room to complain.

      2) Digital Game and a Digital service. Both can disappear at any time. While its true the Digital game will remain in your backups and on the drive so long as the system functions and you can enable your account. That could go away some day. PS+ is far worse for this reason. PS+ disappears your games disappear as soon as sony shuts it down.

Ultimately the mistake is yours, the fault is yours, and Sony did nothing wrong.

I apprecaite PS+ for what it is, but I make no mistake about it. It’s there a convenience so long as the service exists. Allowing me to preserve my disc copy and have the convenience of booting up a digital copy for my Vita or when I’m just in the mood to play on my TV. Which is exactly what I’ll be doing with the Nathan Drake Collection before starting these two games up again.

Your option is to find a 3 dollar copy or wait for a price drop.

      “You have done that yourself”

  • I have both games on disc, but I redeemed on PS+ too. Will I be eligible for the $10 upgrade?
I just with this was straightforward. Maybe, “If you have the game, you can pay to upgrade. Period.” Or, even better, “If you have the game, you get to play the best version. Period. Thanks for being fans.”

  • lol so paid upgrade no 4k 60fps, pc the best version.

  • *Also available on PC.

  • Thank you will be using the upgrade path👍🏾

  • Hey naughty dog, why do you guys hate multiplayer so much? You halfassed the support for the first last of us multiplayer, you didn’t support uncharted 4 multiplayer at all and didn’t even include multiplayer in tlou2!!! Your single player experiences are good for 1-2 playthroughs and that’s it

  • PlayStation Plus members who claimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End via their PlayStation Plus subscription are not eligible for the $10/€10 digital PS5 upgrade.

No free upgrades when ps+ games have them and now stuff like this… again with the nonsense, Sony. I’m sorry, PlayStation, but this is just scummy. This kind of stuff does not exist in the xbox ecosystem, I just get the best version of the game my Series S can play. I have both games on disc already for ps4, but I’m not interested in spending any more money when I already own both physical and digital versions of both games.

    • This is not Sony’s doing for the PlayStation Plus games from other studios. If studios offered both versions of their games how are they to make money for future titles? Their games are offered in hopes that if you liked them and want to play the better versions then you will purchase the better versions.

  • Can you pls atleast tell that , will PC version be available before Feb or in Feb ????/

  • Are there gonna be an option to collect trophies again or not? Thx

  • So a tenner for the PS5 upgrade? Suits me fine. I’ve more than got my money’s worth from these games over the years so I got no problem with that. :)

  • You really enjoy making things complicated and annoying. You are adding a few visual/FPS enhancements (some already available) and stripping the multiplayer. These enhancements should be free for PS5 owners while doing the corresponding release on PC as part of the expansion strategy.

The unability to upgrade the PS+ is beyond me, those users paid for the suscription and also bought the new console, hence being a supporter of the brand. Its completely nonsense to ban the possibility of upgrading the game for those customers. It just common sense…

    • Because you’re astingy little pest who wants everything for free. Here’s a tip: get a job. LOL

    • Yo @zaltman!. Imagine simping for a billion dollar company who doesn’t care about you bud😂 major L. Also kinda ironic an internet nobody Is making laughably stupid assumptions about someone’s money situation….projection much?. Here’s a tip: go overdose on pills bud🤣. Low Iq sony drone🤡.

  • so you PC version will be delay for months and it will come in the end of 2022 :)
you should have released the PC version before , cause still many people dont have the PS5 , PC should have been great if would have released first

  • Guess I shouldn’t have sold my physical UC 4 copy for pennies on the dollar. :(

    • Picked up mine last month from a local dollar store. Paid $3CAD for a brand new copy. Shouldn’t be hard to find a used copy for cheap.

  • Surprised Naughty Dog couldn’t crack native 4K/60fps. And the absence of ray tracing in fidelity mode too.

  • Will buy on PC for sure. It’s amazing to have Uncharted on Steam.
    Keep them coming Sony.

  • Will the trophies auto unlock with the upgrade? Will I be able to resume my progress? I ask because I’m still in the middle of a Lost Legacy Crushing run on PS4. To be quite honest, I didn’t like Uncharted 4 enough to want to put myself through taht hell again. Don’t get me wrong 80% of the story is very enjoyable, which I’m sure is what Amy Hennig contributed too (with external modifications) and the other 20% is Neil Drukman putting his stink on everything. That isn’t my problem with it. Uncharted 4 just isn’t as fun to play as 1-3 or Golden Abyss (WHERE IS A OUR PS5 REMAKE OF THIS GAME!) and you can feel in particularly in the final stretches of the game. The sword fight was cool, Uncharted has always struggled with the final boss battles, but for what its worth that was a cool implementation. But Marty, something has to be done about your kids. The last 5 or 6 chapters have wonky layouts and equally wonky collision detection. Leaving me with a deeply unsatisfying experience with an equal number of sensations that cheap shots are being had at my expense. The grappling hook also adds nothing and removing the grenade throw back which was deeply satisfying in 3 is just mind boggling. None of which I expect to be fixed, but incase anyone from ND is reading, something to examine and understand for future reference. Oh and the MP sucks, but not in this release.

Lost Legacy is fantastic though. I hope to see more uncharted with Chloe in the leading role. That maybe enough to get me on board, but the trophy thing might cause me to wait till I finish the PS4 platinum.

  • Excited and disappointed at the same time. Disappointment due to the no upgrade for PS Plus users.

    • It’s not even free for owners of the disc versions or the ones that bought the games digitally either. Plus even if it was you don’t feel the studio shouldn’t get paid for doing their job? I guess developers and coders don’t have bills to play and they can work for free.

  • So what’s the upgrade for? Wasn’t the PS4 always 4K or 60fps!? So surely shouldn’t the PS5 be able to do both at the same time?
Starting to think all the PS5 has is an SSD over the PS4. Regret getting one to be honest…

    • PS4 SP 1080p30fps, PS4 Pro SP 1440p30fps, PS5 SP 4K30 (Important for the original Cinematics), 60fps Dynamic 4K!?, 1080p120hz. What are you on about dude, complain with reason and Yes SSD>PS4

    • Just because a game is 4K 60fps on a lower machine and the same resolution and frames on a more powerful machine doesn’t mean they will look the same.

  • Just wanted a little information on rendering if any enhancements were made to the PS5 Version, Already was a Super clean presentation so I understand if not and maybe some elements scale with resolution. Why do I keep getting everything I ask for, Baiken in Guilty Gear Strive, 120hz performance+ mode on Uncharted 4? $10 dollar upgrade paths. It might be time to apply for a job at PlayStation with this luck, big wins for Uncharted fans and new soon to be on PC release.

  • I might not be reading this post correctly but here my situation. I already own both games on disc. Do I have to pay the €10 upgrade fee once or twice?

  • Think I’ll wait for the Digital Foundry review on this. Because if the Performance mode is the exact same as the PS5 patch they added to both those games already, then I’m not sure what the point of me upgrading to this one would be.

    • This is a typo, there wasn’t performance patch for these games running on back compat on PS5. U4 and LL still only run at 30FPS.

    • These did not get patch, I think they are referring to Last of us 2 60fps patch which also doesn’t make sense to add as information. Simply say 60fps dynamic or PS4 PRO settings at 60fps which was 1440p. I can confirm this is all new for these games, 4K,60fps,120fps

    • Even if there isn’t much different I will still purchase the upgrade because of a separate trophy list and one that doesn’t have multiplayer trophies to boot.

  • I have Uncharted 4 on disk. If I pay £10 do I also get access to lost legacy ?

  • So in certain countries you get a free movie ticket and in my country not…
It’s a shame Sony doesn’t care about people from other countries. Guess no update nor watching the movie for me. Thanks (again) for nothing Sony.

    • You might need to talk with the lawmakers in your country to find out if they’ve made this kind of offer overly expensive or flat-out illegal. That’s often (though not always) the case for offers like this.

Sometimes it’s just the nature of who they partner with. If they offer the free ticket through Atom tickets in the US, I’d have to drive an hour to get somewhere I could use it, so it wouldn’t be worth it. It all depends on the details.

  • I was looking forward to this but I need clarification:

    – I have Uncharted on Disk, but would rather go digital. I can no longer buy uncharted one yeh store without this bundle. Have you removed the ability to buy these games separately? (Bizarre)
    – 4K at 30 seems odd, is that an error? Apart from resolution what is the upgrade here? As the 60FPS version is already on my PS5 at that resolution.
    – is the horrible trophy list fixed?
    – to be clear, why is Uncharted Online not included here? It’s my own personal favourite multiplayer modes and excluding it seems like a terrible idea.
    – last note, people who got U4 through PS+ Should absolutely get the option to upgrade. Please fix that.

Other then that, it went from a must buy to a no buy without things about clarified. You guys need to sort your messaging out, it’s constantly lacking at the moment.

    • -It’s technically still digital, you’ll just need to get up and put the disc in.

-4K/30 or 1080P/60 has been the norm this generation so far. Personally since I only have a 1080P TV anyway, I prefer the 60 FPS option. Also, Uncharted 4 and LL are still at 30 FPS at the moment, only Uncharted 1-3 were updated to 60 FPS after the jump from PS3 to PS4.

-What’s wrong with the trophy list? (This is a legit question, I’m genuinely confused on this.)

-They cut the multi-player from 2 and 3 on the PS4 collection too. Sucks but what are you going to do.

-They did get the game free already, but there should at the very least be a higher priced version. Or, make the upgrade free for those who paid money for it and make Plus owners pay.

  • Please consider adding a 4k/40fps option, like Insomniac did for Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and Spider-Man Miles Morales.

  • Beautiful dialogue with PC players. Very nice words to make them take off.

  • At least it’s only $10 and you get both rather than each regardless of which one you own. Still haven’t bothered with Ghost of Tsushima upgrade since they charged $30 because the PS5 upgrades were coupled with the DLC. Such a greedy slap in the face especially after buying the premium edition.

  • So, no ray tracing? Seems like only just a moderate improvement over the the PS4 Pro update. Bummer and not worth the additional cost in my humble opinion. Oh, and one final question, whos handling this remaster? Theres only a handful of developers that do remasters well so its always a cause for concern.

  • And people allow these bad practices. Selling the same games for PS5 just for GREED.

  • Add a comment + Don’t be a jerk

For real? I’m not supposed to be jerk, but PS Plus users can be #@@$@ over?

What is the reasoning behind this? To force PS Plus owners to buy whole game, again? I would be more than willing to pay the extra 10 buck for well made upgrade, but since I’ve finished all those games I see no reason to buy them again. It simply doesn’t make sense.

Or is it some way how to prepare PS plus owners for new service and in the meantime make this service worth a ****?
Because I’m currently regretting for purchase of the PS plus for the following year. Well done SONY. Well done.

    • PS Plus users never bought the game; stop being so entitled, either put down $10 or don’t, nobody cares.

    • 2 @squalledge:
If it was possibility to put down 10$ for upgrade, I would happily do that. As I have written in my previous comment.

The problem is, that players who gained the game through PS Plus don’t have the option to put down those 10$ and that’s the problem.

Next time pls, take a while and read the whole comment, thx.

  • Excited to dip back in to these stellar games! I originally bought Uncharted 4 on disc, but gifted it to a friend with bad internet connection when the ps+ version was announced, but also bought Lost Legacy separately (digitally). So, am I out of luck for the upgrade to Uncharted 4 unless I take back my disc version? I also just pulled up uncharted 4 on the store and it lists that I have the Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy Digital Bundle Purchased? So I am safe to upgrade for the $10 and not have my original disc? Confusing, I’m going cross-eyed.

    • If I’m understanding it correctly, as long as you own one of the games Physical or Digital (Meaning Purchased, not PS+), you pay $10 to upgrade to the WHOLE collection (meaning both games).

    • Thanks RCF_TOD! That was the impression I was getting when reading through the post and that image showing the upgrade options again. Appreciate the clarification :)

  • The movie looks terrible, but the UC4 and Lost Legacy remasters look amazing!

  • So for those who just got one game they can pay 10 bucks to upgrade and those who paid for both games still pay 10 bucks, Why not just pay 5 bucks for those who got both games?

    • Why do you think? If I buy two burgers and want to upgrade to a better burger does that mean that better burger should be half the price because I purchased two burgers?

  • Goddammit! I own A Thief’s End on physical and The Lost Legacy on digital, BUT I got the Digital Edition PS5. I was hoping that my Plus copy of U4 was going to be enough and save me from re-buying the game again.

If I buy the 10$ upgrade for The Lost Legacy, will I still get U4 upgraded if I re-buy it digitally later down the line?

    • If I’m understanding it correctly, as long as you own one of the games Physical or Digital (Meaning Purchased, not PS+), you pay $10 to upgrade to the WHOLE collection (meaning both games).

    • It’s exactly like what was said before because you bought a copy of The Lost Legacy you are eligible to get the collection for $10 once it releases on the 28th.

  • No PC release date. I get it, you want to announce and get the PlayStation version out the door first since it is a PlayStation brand game. But a release date would have been nice.

  • “Performance Mode – We carried over the high framerate PS4 patch with Performance Mode, which targets a 60fps frame rate. ”

There was a high framerate patch for PS4? Since when? o_o

    • Yeah seems to be a mistype. Or maybe as someone else said they were planning a performance mode patch and instead decided to release it again with more features than just 60FPS.

    • Looks like they updated the post to remove that “PS4 Performance Patch” note

  • PlayStation Plus members who claimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End via their PlayStation Plus subscription are not eligible for the $10/€10 digital PS5 upgrade.

SONY what is wrong with you lately?

    • SONY is PC porting company what do you expect???

    • Oh! and they delisted the stand alone version of U4 just so you can’t buy it at its regular 20$ store price (because it’s a 5 year old game). That way you are forced to double dip at full price if you bought the physical copy on launch day at full price, like me.

  • hello! great games! one question, what about trophy support? will trophies auto-pop if I’ve already got the platinum for both games? thank you!

  • lmao imagine idiots on PS5 buying those games day 1 for 80+ and play worse version, cant wait to buy Horizon FW for 20€ on STEAM, better version, better quality and also complete edition 🤣 keep porting your games SONY 😅

    • Horizon is out on Steam 18 months now clown.

You can’t wait to do what………………. oh right, NOTHING lol. Way to show them and make them quake in their boots. A person who never bought and supported their games, still not buying and supporting their games.

      All talk and no sense.

    • So if sony pc porting continues you can expect horizon fw when PS6 is about to drop. 2025-2026. Thats a long time. I’m sure your it will be full price on PC and $20 on PS5 by that time.

    • Not wrong, PC version will be the best most of the time. How is that a disadvantage for console players though? PC version comes last but we all get to play, why so hostile

    • $80+ Where did you pull that number out? The game region pending is $49.99USD and $64.99CAD.

  • 30fps 🤣🤣🤣 PS5 already trash, guys just build pc at this point, RTX 3060 will run this game at 4K120fps with RT

    • Yeah because we all can order a 3000s series GPU for $1k+ off ebay. Im fine with 4k 30fps. I’m guessing that performance mode will be dynamic 4k at 60fps probably around 1800-1900p.

    • RTX 3060 will run at 4k/120 with RT? Even a 3090 couldn’t 😂😂😂

    • You paying the extra grand for me to build this PC. Also will you purchase the game for me because it will be more than the $10 I will be paying for the game on the PlayStation 5.

Please enter your date of birth.
