  • I’ve wanted to play both Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War! Oddworld: Soulstorm will be nice to play when I get a PS5! Great month!

    • If you like zombies. Otherwise it’s another crap month.

    • Phenomenal month. Yet again PS+ continues to dominate the weak Games with Gold. Microsoft clearly uses GwG funding on Gamepass instead. If you rave about GP, you must also give Sony the win for PS+.

      Madirishman1916

Oddworld isn’t zombies, but it is a brand new game in a legendary franchise that we get day one. Huge addition to PS+.

    • I’ve beat Days Gone twice now. Once on PS4 and again on PS5. Such a great game.

    • @madirishman1916

Oddworld is so far from a Zombie game lol. Also who in the world can legitimately say they hate *all* content with zombies in it? So many different genres and stories contain the dead coming back to life.

The Walking Dead is different from Last of Us which is different from Stubbs The Zombie which is different from House Of The Dead which is different from Doom which is different from How To Survive which is different from Lollipop Chainsaw lol

    • Can’t wait for zombie army 4 😆

    • I wouldn’t get my hopes up for PS5. It isn’t available anywhere except online for outrageous prices.

    • @darthkyrel Welcome to the price gougers. And the big people like Amazon just let it happen every time there’s a console release. If you don’t pre-order one, it’ll be at least 6 months before you can find one at a normal price somewhere. Amazon was quick to stop price gouging on paper towels and toilet paper, but they don’t give a crap about anything else.

    • I can not even download the zombie army 4 ! Really annoying.

  • really could’ve done better than adding a PS+ collection game to the lineup, but Soulstorm seems fun at least.

  • Why is Days Gone here it is already free through the PS Plus Collection

  • Thank u sony! Awesome month ever!! More games more fun for me :)))

  • Two zombie games? One of them that’s already on both the PS+ collection and PS now ? Thanks ?

    • People don’t like what Sony is giving for games you know what you can do unsubscribe then because complaining will not help you

    • @tusunami says the person complaining about complainers. People have a right to express their feelings. If you don’t like it don’t come on here.

    • And… a brand new, next gen Oddworld as you conveniently leave out. So either u purposely left it out to make the lineup look bad or u don’t have a PS5, in which case, why are u complaining about Days Gone being in the PS+ Collection?

    • A big AAA, a newer/name game from Sniper Elite devs, and a new, next gen Oddworld. Pretty awesome month considering we just received nine free games as well. Thank you Sony is what you should say.

    • It’s for the ps4! If you don’t have a ps5 then you don’t have access to the ps+collection.

  • Days gone?! It isn’t good choise:-/

    • It’s too bad Sony can’t make people happy every month deal with it.

    • Pretty much the only game I’m interested in I can’t play without a PS5. Which is extra silly because it’s a PS4 title too.

I’d happily replace the two PS4 titles with a PS4 version of Oddworld…

  • Disappointing that Days Gone is here with it already being in the PS+ Collection but I totally get that there are millions and millions of PS+ members who don’t have a PS5 yet. Zombie Army 4 is really good too so play it if you haven’t.

    • I’m gonna take a wild guess that the majority of PS5 owners previously owned a PS4. Seriously hope that this isn’t a new trend…

    • What does PS5 owners previously owning a PS4 have to do with anything. Days Gone was only free if you owned a PS5 before. There are tens of millions of PS4 owners who are just now going to have their first shot at getting the game for free.

    • Oddworld is huge. Day one next gen game. Well known IP and I guarantee it receives no worse than a 78 Meta. My guess, 83. It’ll be excellent.

    • I thought no one over the age of 10 cared about “metacritic” scores.

Because reviewers are so great and trustworthy, right?

It’s totally not stuffed with people being bribed or just giving scores to get clicks, right? Right? Riight? 😂

  • No.. i thought i gonna get Sekiro and Nier Automata….

  • Not very cool to use says gone as a ps+ game when it is already in the ps+ collection. Do the right thing and replace it with something else, like maybe the ps5 update that should have been free with final fantasy 7remake or a game that you aren’t already double dipping on.

    • Why? 30+ million PS Plus members don’t have a PS5 to access the PS Plus Collection. Maybe they should replace Oddworld since PS4 owners can’t play it too huh.

    • S A Y S G O N E 🤣🤣

    • Your Oddworld comment is moot, because at this moment, they have been giving away a PS5-only title every month since PS5 launch.
This is similar (though less interesting) from the time where we got 2 PS4, 2 PS3 and 2 Vita games every month.

    • Aww wittle baby is mad he doesnt get the free upgrade for his free game. Please tell us more about how the world should cater to only your wants and needs…..

    • Mercenary 09 😿😿 All you have to do is claim it so If and when you get a pS5 it will be waiting for you along with all the games in the PS Collection that you already have via PS Plus etc…

    • PS5 update is already free if you owned the original game. Just need to buy the DLC if you want it when it comes out on June 10.

    • Good idea. Get rid of all of them since they are all bad.

  • I got Days Gone for “free” 3 times. First PS Now, then PS Plus Collection, now PS Plus…..

    • Good for you. There are millions and millions who don’t have a PS5 or PS Now. The amount of selfish people in these comments is absurd.

    • @Mercenary09 so you want to penalize us for having the wherewithal to find and purchase a PS5? And shelling out the extra 5$ a month for PS Now? Talk about Absurd. I have had PSplus and PS Now since the inception. I have all consoles. I’d say I’m huge supporter of Sony and the fact they have given me( loosely) Days Gone 3 times now?? Not to mention I bought it upon release… Days Gone and Rachet & Clunk IS pure LAZYINESS ON Sony’s part. They could do so much better. Just look at XBox GOLD or their pass… Sony has the best library of games yet they are either LAZY or STINGY. Sony is throwing PS 1-3 PSP and Vita in the bin??? Microsoft ports their equivalents to cell phone…. more Lazy IMO oh but maybe I’m just selfish

    • @villdoc Xbox Gold is a joke with nothing but mediocre games every month. I too own Days Gone already but I’m not selfish and realize that tens of millions of PS4 owners who have PS+ are just getting their first shot at getting it. The PS+ collection is only available to the few million people who actually have a PS5. Stop being selfish.

    • @villdoc

The fact u mention Games with Gold is laughable. Nowadays Microsoft’s offerings are a joke as Mercenary confirms.

Ffs Sony just gave nine free games and Final Fantasy VII, Remnant, and two brand new next gen games including Destruction All-Stars as well as free VR games.

Microsoft gave Vikings, Truck Racing, Dark Void, and something called Uprising. Last month Games with Gold received DLC for free to play Warface, Vala, Port Royale, and Metal Slug. That is bottom of the barrel with small, no name duds, terrible 360 games from 2007, and literally free to play content. Vikings is perhaps the best thing and it’s a top down indie with a 60s Metacritic from 2017. FFVII alone obliterates all of that trash.

Oh, and Ratchet & Clank was given as a free game to all regardless of PS+. That deserves ZERO criticism. By calling it “Clunk” I assume u are criticizing the game? It’s one of the best three dimensional action platformers ever made and is receiving a 60fps patch.

    • Psnos is a sub service so you paid for that, ps+ collection is only for ps5 owners, so this is the first time millions lof non ps5 owning players will get it “free”

  • Two zombie games in a month! I wish you put more thought into these PS Plus releases.

    • And a brand new, next gen Oddworld. That took plenty of thought to negotiate a day one, next gen Lorne Manning game.

  • #FREAKERGANG

  • I didn’t really like Days Gone at first but once I got into it I really enjoyed it.
Hopefully getting it for “free” gives people who were on the fence a chance to try it out.

I would never have purchased Zombie Army 4… but seeing as how it has a co-op campaign I’ll definitely check it out.

    • meneer_soweto_za

Days Gone is actually surprising good it gets better and better the further you get into the game!

  • While I can admit that this month’s PS+ games are nice (though kinda shooter-heavy on PS4) I’m here to drop one more thought.

It’s hard with “don’t be a jerk” when you obviously are like this towards your loyal customers. Utterly disappointed (that’s putting it lightly) at the decision of closing the legacy PS console stores. Could you at least disable the redirection to the new “store” from ?scope=sceapp&smcid=psapp URL until closure? Or at least bring back the “purchase” button on PS3 store in Poland (it’s gone for months now on PS3 PS Store) so I’m blocked here from making any final purchases.
Or decide on a total rollback from your legacy PS consoles strategy since 2019 (yeah, allow me dream at least)?

    • Just push x where the purchase button used to be

    • I completely agree and cosign this.

But on your point about the missing purchase button, it’s still there, it’s just invisible. It’s a stupid glitch that nobody cares enough to fix, unfortunately.

    • Not the place.

This is about PS+ and Sony just gave NINE free games on top of FFVII, Remnant, Destruction All-Stars (2nd month), and Farpoint. Now, we get a game that’s currently $50 and released in 2020 with Zombie Army 4, a new next gen Oddworld, and Days Gone for those who have not played it. Sony is continuing to spoil fans and fans continue to act spoiled. I have concerns about the Vita store as well, but that’s another conversation.

    • And where do you think the right place is? I didn’t see a blog post about it?

And I saw your comment on the post about the ps plus games for March calling the lineup “trash”. I don’t know what your game is hounding every critical comment here.

    • @ iamtylerdurden1 – Stop posing for Sony,it’s pathetic…when are you gonna ever criticize them?…this is not the place you say this is exactly the place or any other post they make. The arrogant scum didn’t even had courage to do a Blog post about the Stores shutting down yet they make one when they’re throwing our former exclusive games to the pc beggar race. That says a lot about the trash company Sony has become stop defending them in every single thing they do and learn about criticism cuz that’s what they need at the moment.

    • Get a PC or XBox as your primary system if you value game preservation. Sony and Nintendo are only good enough for exclusives and for any free games that they give away either on their subscription services or otherwise. With Nintendo switch purchases atleast you get the benefit of portability. There is literally no point of buying anything digitally or any multi-system releases on a Sony console.

    • @Techno_Viking- Just checked – you’re right! Kudos for Polish PS Support who told me months ago that they turned off the possibility to buy on PS3 PS Store and it’s not a bug or maintenance… Sony, quo vadis? ;(

@iamtylerdurden1 I agree with Laser_Attack – it’s hard to find the right place to post this. And besides I’d rather get no games from Play at Home and keep the old PS Store going – even without the updates or any sort of future upgrades. Especially that the legacy PS consoles have a very crappy Download list. It might take me 30 minutes to get a DLC that I bought in 2012 for instance :/

  • What they all said about Days Gone being included in the PS+ collection. Presumably, we’ll be getting Horizon Zero Dawn free next month after it’s been given away to everybody as part of Play at Home…
Nice that we’re getting a PS5 game but the PS+ collection is looking like less of an extra with every passing month…

  • Yuss! Well happy with ZA 4 – really enjoyed playing the trilogy with a friend, and will probably enjoy this one too. Not too bothered about the other 2 titles, but Days Gone might be nice for PS+ subscribers who don’t have PSNow or a PS5 yet :-)

  • Lucky enough to own a PS5 and was a little disappointed to see Days Gone given I already have it through PS+C

So I cheered myself up by having a look at what Xbox owners got with Games with Gold this month :-D

  • Days Gona hahahaha wow that’s bad! A recent PS Now game, a current PS PLus game…. Is now a PS Plus game. This is the cheapest move you have ever done. And Zombie 4.. that’s dirt cheap in sales all the time. Very very poor month imo. The play at home games are better!

    • Days Gone is a current PS+ game only to those who own a PS5 which isn’t many. What a dumb comment.

    • Mercenery09 has an anger issue.

    • Yet Oddworld is a brand new next gen game in a well known franchise.

Zombie Army 4 is a 2020 game and currently $50 on PSN.

PS+ owners without PSNow or PS5 did not get Days Gone.

Cheap? Sony literally just gave away 9 free games including Horizon, Enter the Gungeon, Subnautica, Thumper, and a who’s who of the best VR games including Rez and Moss. Oh, btw, we got FFVII, Remnant, Destruction All-Stars, Farpoint and new PS5 game Maquette last month. You sound spoiled. Go check out the past two Games with Gold month and talk to me..

    • Oddworld is on PS4 too. It’s hardly a “next gen” game… 🙄

  • The PS+ Collection is becoming less and less value for long time PS+ members. When PS5 launched several of the games were already old PS+ games, and now going forward they are giving away even more games from that Collection. I guess they want to slow down PS5 demand…

    • Seriously, the amount of entitlement here is dizzying.

You bemoan that you’re not getting ONE more new game with PS Plus…

Well, I’ve been a Plus member for TEN years and I don’t have a PS5. And while I feel I am (and other like me are) really the one(s) getting less value out of PS Plus than you because I’m (we’re) still short by THIRTEEN games in the PS Plus Collection, I myself am not making a fuss about it.

      Grow up!

    • Correction: still short by 12 games. I forgot to count inFamous 2nd Son.

    • The PS+ Collection was 20+ free games. If a regular PS+ game overlaps then so be it, u didn’t lose anything. Sony also just gave nine free games for play at home and every month on PS+ of late has been decent. FFVII, Remnant, Destruction All-Stars, Farpoint, and Maquette was spectacular last month. It really is dizzying with the amount of spoiled children in here. And this is a good lineup. Go play Horizon, R&C, Gungeon, or Subnautica. Ffs Sony has been awesome lately.

  • 23:59
Jim Ryan: “Are the games too expensive to do them?, So let’s take Days Gone to PC”

    00:00
Days Gone = Free PlayStation Plus

    HYPOCRISY.

  • This is great, but let’s get to the more prescient topic that came out this week – the fact that PS3, PSP, and Vita stores are confirmed as closing in a couple months.

Sony has a golden opportunity to celebrate these platforms with the sale to end all sales – literally.

Slash every game, every piece of DLC, every theme and avatar. You name it, make it all as cheap as you can and let gamers gather once more around these phenomenal PlayStation experiences. A blowout sale isn’t a novel idea, there is a reason why every retailer does it whenever there is a similar closure.

So be the hero that softens to blow to many gamers looking for one last epic hurrah before the legacy hardware sails off into the distance for good.

The Sale to End All Sales. The copy practically writes itself.

    • I would love to see a Final PS3/Vita game sale.

With a few months left till store close, not everyone is in a financial position to buy everything they want.

They would have to be selective at full price.

It would be up to Sony first, and then the Publishers of said games.

    • They are never going to do that unfortunately.

    • That’s the right ethical thing to do…so in other words Sony won’t do it ha.

    • Not gonna happen. They want to sell you the same content later at a markup under the pretence of a remaster or rerelease. They’ll probably also use these older games to push their game pass competitor(PSNow?) while totally missing the point that game pass games still remain available to purchase outright and don’t need streaming. Meanwhile Xbox upgrades older games to 4k, HDR and 60fps for free. Looks like we have a winner and its not PS.

    • Downside also once it closes there is no guarantee the license for said games will last forever. There have been many games just vanish off my download list over the years due to the license ownership being removed

    • While you worded it perfectly, they don’t give a cent really.

    • I sold the Vita yesterday while it was still worth something. It’s a shame that Sony are pulling out of handheld but understandable with the rise in mobile phone gaming.

  • Would have been nice to have this side of the bank holiday as the weather is rubbish and have 4 days off!

  • Good month. Whiny tots will complain about anything 😂

  • Looking forward to Oddworld only, I already have Days Gone. It’s sad that you don’t care about your legacy though. PSNow came out strong but it’s only getting a handful of PS4 games each month for a long time. And as for the handhelds let’s just pretend they never existed in the first place. Such a shame…

  • Why do you keep giving us games that we already have via collections. That’s 2 games in past 2 months. Essentially we do pay for these games. Makes no mistake they are not “free”. If they were we’d be able to keep them if we quit ps plus.

Days Gones is just a LAZY pick on Sonys part. Pure lazy…

  • Bruh
I tought days gone would be next play at home game, beside it’s already for ps collection
But it is a really good month, and all games are really awesome + horizon for play at home
wish days gone would be for play at home too

  • Wow these are really good games I’ve heard good things about days gone. Thanks

  • What a great month. I have days gone and zombie army 4 so will give 3rd game a shot. ZArmy 4 is brilliant.. 👌

  • Everyone has their own opinion, so mine is “mixed bag this month”. Oddworld is no surprise as announced during last State of Play. I recently purchases Days Gone as I’m a hardcore disc guy. And meh to Army.

  • This is really bad for those with a PlayStation 5. What are you doing Sony?

  • Much as I appreciate the comments reminding us all that not everyone has a PS5, and hence access to Days Gone via the plus collection…what about the millions that do? I’m not trying to be overly critical, it’s a good month, but I do query DG a little.

  • Perfectly, great games, thanks!

  • Not too bad, the last few months, but now with the store changing. Like would like some PS Vita and maybe a handful of PS3 games as well.

  • The level of children who need a nap who don’t have a PS5 is pure amusement and now makes up for Sony giving PS5 owners games they already own. Gives all you PS4 owners something to look forward to… wait no it doesn’t.

  • Just tried to shop again on your store. I’m sorry guys, but it is absolutely terrible. You took the best storefront experience in gaming and turned it into the absolute worst. What a trainwreck…

    • I suppose at least they finally added the wishlist back to the webstore.

But it’s still missing filters, screenshots, videos, DLC on game pages, consistantly working buttons, etc., etc., etc. and looks like it was designed so 5 years olds can use it with their fists.

So a long way to go before it’s back to how it was this time last year.

  • Que pena realmente no tengo una ps5 quería jugar ese juego Oddworld Soulstorm ojalá lo den para ps4,(triste)

  • How sad, Days Gone is already available in the PS collection, they are offering the same game for the second time. They did the same with the PS Now games of March (Detroit and inFamous) that were also in the PS Collection.

You had and have an obligation to do better! I have yet to see the PS Now games for the month of April.

    • Only PS5 owners have access to the PS Plus Collection. Why is them offering Days Gone to the millions of PS4 owners a bad thing?

As for the PS Now April lineup they rarely ever announce it before the month begins. You’ll get that announcement within the next few days.

    • I think it’s bad, because these people will most likely buy a ps5 and find this game in the plus collection. I pay for this service, so I see no reason to be offered the same game twice. They could very well offer a game that appeals to all users, this month was a month for me to forget.

I hope that at least it pays to have paid PS NOW, because if it is to offer other games from the PS collection it is easier to cancel the service.

  • Oh, nice. I really wanted to have a go at Days gone. The amount of zombies I saw chasing them in the trailer kinda scared me from buying it, coz thought I wouldn’t be able to survive haha. But glad to see it on ps plus. I can have a go at it and see how far I can get.

  • Another great month of PS Plus games with Oddworld, Days Gone and Zombie Army 4. Like most on this post, I have yet to get my hands on a PS5 so I don’t have access to the Collection. However I do have Days Gone, which is a great game and should be enjoyed by all.

  • Guess ill be playing my switch for another month then 🤣🤣

    • The more and more I see the complete lack of PS5 games coming out, the more and more a Switch seems tempting…

    • I just bought zombie army 4 and I’ve already have Days Gone. But I’m looking forward to oddworld. Another great month of ps+

  • PlayStation Plus has been killing it lately, hope they keep this up. Awesome month!

  • I’d be more excited if it weren’t for the killing of the PS3 and PSVita stores and left trying to figure out which crossbuy platforms I haven’t downloaded a purchase on so I don’t lose them.

    • Crossbuy games not carrying over is akin to taking away purchases. Will Sony be refunding people for taking away purchased content?

  • I agree as well. Sony can’t even address the issue. They’ve been burying PS3 and Vita for years now. None of their social media people could apparently talk about it. Sony wants future customers to experience PS3 through a low-quality stream on PS Now. They could have made the PS5 backwards compatible with the PS3 and easily Vita because the PS3 cell has been emulated for years now. Last summer publishers still wanted to release games on Vita/PSTV, but Sony said no. Think about that. Publishers were obviously still making money (and thus Sony too), but Jim Ryan don’t like “old” games and consoles.

I think Sony has the best exclusives, but I am enjoying Xbox Series X more than my PS5. The UI on PS5 is horrid (no themes because they want to advertise content but why no folders) and lousy external storage support. If you leave a disc in the drive, PS5 will randomly spin it very loudly when you’re playing another game. Opinions vary on PS5 controller but the battery life is awful. You can’t even turn it off if, say, you’re watching Disney+. Actually, you can turn it off, but then you’re out of the app. They won’t fix any shortcomings with PS5. They never bothered to improve PS3 UI over the years despite all the “updates.” PS4 UI was arguably right with nothing to fix. Ads that sometimes that popped up on home screen could be deleted. Anyway, since Sony is not committed to their legacy consoles, I’m LESS committed to Playstation. How long before this happens to PS4? If there is a PS6, all they have to do is change the controller and say, “No backwards compatibility because the controller is different.” The writing is on the wall for us to read.

    • So true. I had to buy the expensive vita memory and downloaded most of the games I’ve purchased on the vita same go with my ps3 games.

  • When I die, I would like Sony to design the equipment to place my coffin into my grave… just so they can let me down one last time.

  • I really wish PS Plus would stop with all these stupid zombie games. Days Gone is already in the PS Collections so it’s a waste. Didn’t want it then and don’t want it now. Please stop with all the zombie crap.

  • Only issue I have is the PS Plus collection already has Days Gone in it. So I as a PS5 owner am only getting 2 games unless Days Gone somehow becomes free period whether I have PS Plus or not would make sense.

  • Days Gone is one of my most favorite PS4 games. Please do a sequel for PS5. Imagine the Horde on the more powerful system. The bodies wouldn’t disappear like they do on PS4. Also, when is Sony going to have more PS5? I have been trying to get one since last November. Never before did I have to wait this long for a new console. I guess by the time I have PS5, I will have a bunch of PS5 games from PS Plus to play.

    • You want the game on a more powerful system..

      So PC? 😜

    • Are we gonna talk about a certain Email sent to me, Eh SCEE, the elephant in the room, “closing down the PS3, vita, PSP store along with your draconian censorship policy. It doesn’t bold well. You my ex friend are the new Nintendo.

now let’s see what goodies for my PS4 pro only. the highlight is odd world souls and that basically it. The lowlight is the above. And of course no word on the official ps blog. Is that yet to basically confirmation?

  • While I’m happy about Oddworld – including Days Gone after just a few months after it was released with the plus collection is an extremely weak move Sony.

I usually support you even around the haters – but there’s no justification for this. Going to guess FFVII broke the bank.

  • I hope this is an April fools joke 🥺

  • Why are Days Gone? The reason I ask is because some of us loyal PS Plus members have already received this game.

    • why? Is a AAA game on launch day not good enough for you? What more do you want? Ps4 get 2 games and ps5 get 2 games seems fair to me!

    • We could have all gotten 3 games is the point.

    • The only reason people pay for this awful service is because its forced on them the games are always terrible in the sense that you’ll either already own them or theyre already a part of ps now and you get nothing in return for ps plus you get games like these but for a limited time only theres literally not one good thing about ps plus it’s a con it forces users to pay to play and offers nothing in return I’ll be glad when people realise this and stop paying for it until then dont expect anything to change

    • I have the same question with Ratchet & Clank. Why was this a free game when it was already a free game previously??

Please enter your date of birth.
