PlayStation 5: Launch Day Ordering Update

I understand the disappointment with the delay for release. I don’t understand the need for someone to buy out so many consoles at once by themselves, but apparently that’s a concern.
However, taking these precautions with COVID19 is important. Unfortunately, not everyone is taking precautions. I personally know people who have been hospitalized and even died from COVID19. I also see first hand how careless people are everywhere especially at work where I’m constantly asking people to put their masks back on, wear them properly, to sanitize, etc. I’m security so it’s literally my job now to be on “mask patrol” haha. You’d be amazed at the amount of people that think wearing gloves alone protects from the virus. Yes, your hands are clean but your face, food, purse, wallet, etc. Anything you touched with the outside of the glove is contaminated because you just transferred germs, bacteria, viruses, etc from one surface to another. I watched a woman come out of a bathroom stall with gloves on and walk out of the bathroom without washing or sanitizing her gloves, or changing her gloves. So yes, we need these precautions in place because you don’t know who you might be standing in line with and people are not aware of distance. Just look at the stores. People will come within 2 feet to grab something instead of saying excuse me and ask to get something or get through with some distance.

They’re working on a vaccine so we can all go back to normal. Please remember that there was a time when the common cold killed many of people, and not it’s just an annoyance. So it’s important to be mindful of others.
