Destruction AllStars coming to PlayStation Plus in February

Hi everyone – we wanted to share a quick update on our plans for Destruction AllStars. We’ve decided to move the game’s release from November 2020 to February 2021, where it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost. 

Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that’s at its best when you’re competing with gamers online from all around the world. We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PS5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?

Next week, we’ll return with a brand-new trailer and more details on the game, so you’ll know exactly what to expect when you download it in February.

This may be disappointing news for some of you who were looking to play the game at launch, but we hope you understand the decision. For those of you that have already pre-ordered the game, be it via PlayStation Store, PlayStation.com, or at retail, your purchase will be refunded.

    So “it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost”. Does this mean we have two months to claim it or its a 2 month “free trial”?

    That’s nice of them, but I was really looking forward to playing this at launch. Come February, I’ll still grab the hard copy of it.

      You’ll get refunded and or you can swap the game for another title. I would check with your pre order site and clarify this issue with them asap if were you.

    Wow this is a long delay for a launch game. Something tells me this game was never ready, especially considering that we haven’t seen any gameplay from this game.

    omg, I cant believe you guys would do this, this is awesome both for the game and gamers. realy best choice ever, yeah I wouldn’t spend 70$ on this or even 30$ but now that is free and it will coming in 2 months after Demon Souls, Spider-man MM, Cyber207 and the actual hype of testing old games like god of war on my ps5, I will 100% give a this game a try and I will make sure all my friends will do the same too.

    If we pre-ordered the game as part of a PS5 bundle through Gamestop, will we be refunded the cost of just the game and still receive the rest of the bundle?

    So, just to clarify, does it work like all other PS plus games? (Once you have it you keep it as long as your PS plus subscription is active) Or is it free to PS plus members only for that 2 months and then they have to purchase it if they want to continue playing it?

    This is actually a very smart move! I always thought it was silly this game costs 70 dollars when Sackboy is 60 and Miles is 50.

    So, what kind of position does this put winners of the Doritos competition, where we have won a copy of destruction all stars, hyped up to be worth £70, just to find out everyone will be getting it free.

    Will we get an alternative prize, like a free dual sense controller instead?

    I had to reserve this game with the ps5 and I received an email stating that my order is being delayed,now does this mean that I won’t receive my ps5 on time or just this game that I was forced to purchased with the bundle? And since the game will be free, will the $70 be refunded?

    Apologies if it’s already been covered but I Pre-ordered this from the PS5 Games page on this very website. How are refunds going to be covered?

    I have PayPal linked to my PSN account here so will it go back into my actual bank account or will it be credit on my store balance and is there any news of when the money will go back on as a few things on sale for Halloween I would like to use the money for!

    Hopefully there will be enough PS5s out by then to satisfy. I’m thinking after the Christmas Rush us normal people will have a chance to get one at a retailer.

    Cool, I just hope they don’t stop giving PS4 games any time soon as there are a lot of us out there that will prob buy next Black Friday or something to make sure all the kinks of the hardware are ironed out etc.

    I bought a PS5 bundle that included this game from GameStop. Does anyone know if I’ll get refunded as well? I would think my bundle should be 70.00 less than what I bought it for.

    This means, You have a window of 2 months to claim this game (via PS) and add it to your Game Library.. Once you add it, You can pretty much own this game forever and can download and play it anytime as long as you PS+ member. If you cancel you PS+ sub, can not download it, but once you again sub to PS+, you can download it again and play it

    GameStop had this on their bundle and is not refunding it and says they can’t until February. This is crazy!
