Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, Greedfall, and Code Vein claim the runner-up spots.
Whether you hunted vaults or monsters last month, your progression-heavy gaming experience of choice was well-represented in our Players’ Choice poll. Borderlands 3 came out on top with a healthy lead over the runners up, but Monster Hunter World: Iceborne put up a fight, easily securing the second-place spot. Greedfall and Code Vein rounded out the top four, each with a respectable number of votes.
Congratulations to Gearbox for winning September’s poll! With only three months left in 2019, how do you think the next few of these will shake out?
Welcome back! It’s a tough one this month — I thought I knew what I was going to vote for right after the month kicked off, but some more recent releases just might change my mind…
As always, we’ll announce the winner of the poll after all the votes have been tallied, but since last month saw the release of a few big-name sports titles, we’ll give a special shout-out to whichever one of those three rakes in the most votes too.
Feel free to debate the merits of your selections in the comments, but make sure you cast your vote before the weekend is over! We’ll close the polls at 11:59pm Pacific Sunday night.
What is the voting criteria? That’s up to you! If you were only able to recommend one new release to a friend that month, which would it be? In keeping with our long tradition in the Game of the Year Awards, remastered or re-released games won’t qualify. Ambitious, larger-scale rebuilds and remakes like Shadow of the Colossus and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will.
How are nominees decided? The PlayStation.Blog and PlayStation Store editorial teams will gather a list of that month’s most noteworthy releases and use it to seed the poll. Write-in votes will be accepted.
