The polls are open! Cast your vote now to help us decide the best new game of the past month.
It’s that time again! June 2018 has come to a close, so we now look to you, the readers of PlayStation.Blog, to help us decide what the best new game of the month was. Cast your vote below before the polls close on July 6 at 11:59pm Pacific, and we’ll reveal the winner in mid-July — along with a new batch of Editor’s Choice picks from the past three months!
What is the voting criteria? That’s up to you! If you were only able to recommend one new release to a friend that month, which would it be? In keeping with our long tradition in the Game of the Year Awards, remastered or re-released games won’t qualify. Ambitious, larger-scale rebuilds and remakes like Shadow of the Colossus and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will.
How are nominees decided? The PlayStation.Blog and PlayStation Store editorial teams will gather a list of that month’s most noteworthy releases and use it to seed the poll. Write-in votes will be accepted.

When I said 8 wanted Cross Play.
I meant I wanted the rules first established when the PS4 launched.
PS+ wasn’t required for MMOs with monthly subscriptions and F2P games that you pay nothing to play.
Both of them had cross play with PC.
All people want is the ability to export their Fortnite accounts onto the Switch, for now.
If we already had cross play in free to play games, why wouldn’t we have cross play with Switch owners?
PC players usually have a greater advantage online as most of them are Hardwired Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi, often higher resolution and frame rate too… That puts PS4 owners at a disadvantage. Yet Paragon had cross play with PC so what gives?
For me, AAA games that requires PS+ to play should be for PS4 owners.
As for MMOs and F2P games, they should be open to cross play with other consoles since you didn’t play. That were the rules when the PS4 first launched so it should stay that way.
We could cross play with Nintendo for Fortnite. In the past, some people were already playing with Xbox live users on Fortnite with PS players… Just saying.
Yes, I get it. It’s about money and getting money from players to play online games.
Which as a PlayStation fan I’m against PlayStation charging players to play online with friends… There should be a basic service with very basic functions and then the higher tier PS+ with more friends, more blocking, a ton more of exclusive options that basic players either don’t have access to or has less of…. But that is for another discussion.
For games that are free to play and are suppose to be free and not charge for Fortnite, PlayStation doesn’t loose anything in terms of revenue since you already don’t need PS+ to play.
You should, by all means, exclude other platforms that DO charge their player base to play online on games that PlayStation doesn’t charge players.
If we, at PlayStation, don’t charge our customers to play online on certain games, then neither should the competing console.
You can also strike the message home that PlayStation doesn’t charge PS+ subscription for Free to Play Games and MMOs and make it “In your face” to the Anti-Consumer competition platforms who do.
No one cares tigger
OMG it has to be Onrush, I live this game so much.
I think COD BO3 is game of the month xD old but gold
Rather shocked Rainbow Skies is not included in this list for June as it just came out. It was a long long wait but worth it. Very very good game if you really liked Rainbow Moon from 5 years ago.
