Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition headlines this month's free games lineup for PlayStation Plus members.

Hey PlayStation Plus members – we have an action-packed game selection for the PS Plus free games lineup in December. Let’s take a look.

Become Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, in Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. The Deathinitive Edition includes all DLC, alongside updated graphics rendering and reworked game balancing. It is instantly playable and sure to make this a Deathcember to remember.

In Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends, face off alongside or against Po and other Kung Fu Panda characters in up-to four person battles in the iconic Kung Fu Panda universe. This is the perfect game to bring families together for some friendly rivalry during the holidays.

This month’s PlayStation Plus lineup also includes:

  • Xblaze Lost: Memories, PS3
  • Forma.8, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)

PlayStation Plus: Free Games for December 2017

As a reminder, we are giving PlayStation Plus members a bonus PlayStation VR game – Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. It’s available now through January 2 for PlayStation Plus members in U.S., Canada, and Latin America. This survival horror arcade shooter will be sure to give you a scare as you blast your way through hordes of enemies. Download it now (if you haven’t already) and buckle up for the most disturbing roller coaster ride you’ll ever take.

Monster Hunter: World is rapidly approaching its release, but you can get a taste of the hunt from December 9 to December 12 exclusively as a PlayStation Plus member. In this beta, you’ll be tasked with hunting a Great Jagras and an Anjanath in the Ancient Forest, as well as a Barroth in the Wildspire Waste. While these are your main quest targets, be on the lookout for other deadly monsters roaming each ecosystem.

Lastly, for a limited time, PlayStation Plus members can grab the Smite PlayStation Plus Pack for free! The bundle includes 31 Skins, 20 Gods and Voice Packs, plus the Khepri Announcer Pack. The bundle is available from December 12 to January 9.

    You know this makes me laugh. Sony does not have to give you a thing, they’re doing it A because robber soft did it and B because they thought we would like them. If you are unhappy maybe you can instead ask them politely to open a poll instead and let the community choose from a select line of games and if you are still unhappy it would be your fault :)

    Yet *another month in a row* in which every game being given away by Sony is either one I’ve already bought or don’t have the slightest bit of interest in.

    As much as I appreciate the discount my PS+ membership gives me on titles I buy, I’m finding it insulting that month after month I’m presented with games that I’ve already bought as some sort of so called gift. We –the subscribers — need an alternative option, such as a credit for a game of equal value when we already paid for what you’ve suddenly decided to give away for free.

    There’s no reason why frequent buyers of games should be penalized for buying more games –if anything, Sony should be rewarding us more because we spend more money per year with them on average. But what do we get? Games we’ve already bought, along with trolls telling us that we should be thankful somehow. Sony –fix this. Straighten out this so-called free games situation, and do something about your users that troll other users. There’s no reason for anyone to have to tolerate that out of anyone else here.

    Well, my membership runs out next month so I couldn’t really give a toss. Yes, we have had a few god games this year but not enough to warrant renewal. I wouldn’t mind but they feeding us this bloody enthusiastic rhetoric which, I assume, is supposed to make us feel grateful for such p**s poor content. Oh well, my children. Enjoy your lack lustre games and D grade indie games. I’m off to buy some second hand games which I get to choose. Merry Christmas to one and all………………………………….

      I dont where you say theres only been a few good games this year but theres been a good number just because dont like them doesnt mean they are bad like

    It’d be nice if it was at least a pack Darksiders with Darksiders 2 I’ve never played the 1st one but I’ll still get the second one just to have another free game.

    I remember playing both on Ps Now… I remember unsubscribing cuz of the lack of good games too.
    Hope ps plus users will get huge discounts on good games this month :)

    Y’know, with the release of The Sims 4, the least you could’ve done was… Y’know… Make The Sims 3 a PS Plus game? On PS3? Or even just make it downloadable in the first place? You should put more recognizable games on here. Yes, Kung Fu Panda is recognizable, but most people (including myself) will automatically assume it to be another horrible licensed game, considering the very low amount of good licensed games… Sony, you’re cool and all, but you need to step up your game. Don’t become another EA. Actually, no. Origin’s On The House is better than this. Last was Steamworld Dig, now PvZ GOTY. At least people know most of the games they put up there, and you’re like “Hey guys, y’all know Syberia Collection? ‘course ya don’t, but too bad it’s free now.

    Kung Fu Panda? Are you kidding me?! A movie-based game? FOR PS4?!?! This is a new low for PS+, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. And this is meant to be the final batch for 2017? This is your Christmas gift to us all?! After you raised the price to PS+ subscriptions?! You disgust me… I ought to spit in your faces, it’d be a much more pleasant time than Kung Fu freaking Panda…

    Didn’t we just get rush of blood free last month? I was really looking forward to the inclusion of the psvr stuff with my plus membership as a way to try out new stuff I might not have. Same game twice in a row just seems a bit weird.

    I have been tempted to buy Kung Fu Panda because of my daughter. Glad I do not have to now. I prefer getting games like this only because they are not the ones I normally spend my money on directly and I get the majority of my games at launch. Thank you Prime and Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked. I do own two from this list already, but only two which is not so bad.

    People shouldn’t be depending on PS Plus monthly free game offerings as their primary source of games. If there’s a game you really want you should just go buy it. These free games are really just a way to soften the burden of having to pay $60 a year for online multiplayer.

      no offense, but I don’t know why people think primary point of having ps+ is for online multiplayer? In ps3 people didn’t subscribe for ps+ for online multiplayer. That came as an addition after ps4 was released.

    Darksiders 2 is one thing; great game if you haven’t played it yet. Everything else is typical playstation garbage. Bring back voting, Sony.

    Blood Rush has been given away for free before too so that’s lame.

    The list of playable games in the past 2 years: La Mulana and Super Meat Boy. Really starting to regret not getting an Xbox. Between the bad games, the broken browser, inability to report cheating, and crashes, it doesn’t even make for a proper paper weight.

    Ugh. You could’ve given us the first Kung Fu Panda game which was actually good, but instead we get this Smash Bros wannabe. The Syberia series is great, but I hear the PS3 port is awful so I’ll rather play it on Steam. After the past few months, this truly is a letdown.

    You’ve really done it this time around Sony.Darksiders 2 is an amazing game but its an amazing game on PS3 where it should have stayed (one of the best multiplat games on PS3) not as a recycled crap for PS4 and while Kung Fu Panda is one of the best animation movies ever…as a game it doesn’t do well lol.On the other hand Kung Fu Panda is a perfect game to have it for free and it looks kinda like Digimon Rumble Arena which was a lotta fun back on PS1.

    So for PS4 a recycled game and a movie game…damn glad I don’t survive outta Plus games like some lame people here.

    PS3 and Vita games don’t look that good either but will have to research them.

    This time y’all whiners do have reason to complain…this is probably the worst PS4 lineup since its inception.

    sorry if i sound like a sony fangirl but its not playstations fualt they cant give u great games every month for the simple reason they have to find game developers and asjk them if they can use it and give it away for free in there monthly lineup im sure if sony wanted to theyd give us playstation plus users better games and as for you who cry over pay to play online its not that big of a deal its 60 dollers for a full year youd think people would be more upset a controller cost more than a triple Atitled game that just got released withing the past 24 hours

    So many ungrateful little children in here. PS Plus is an online service, for playing multiplayer games, uploading your saves to storage, synchronising your gameplay across devices etc. You do NOT pay for these games. They were once never part of the deal. Much like Xbox Live, the service’s games are additional and free. Stop complaining. The sheer and grotesque amount of entitlement shown here is embarrassing. What you little idiots don’t seem to realise is that Sony and Microsoft charge you literally a pittance for the service. $50 a year. A YEAR! Come on … stop being so goddamn greedy. It’s cringe-worthy. Grow up, get on with your lives, and stop acting like you deserve anything. You don’t. If you think fifty dollars a year is anything but a pittance, you should sell your games console because you’re clearly not in a position to afford the luxury.

    Brand new PS4 owner and also PS Plus membership. Hoping not to get trolled for my ignorance on the matter. When are these titles actually available for free? I have PS Plus, however, when I attempt to download the titles they show up in my cart with a cost. Surely I’m doing something wrong, so any productive insight as to where/how to find the actual dates of availability or pointing me in the right direction in the event I am not following the proper protocol necessary to utilize the PS Plus free services. Thanks for your polite responses. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a merry Christmas!

      To find when they become free look at the PS plus & go to the free games part then click one of the games & it will show you when these ones become free

    And DARKSIDERS II, CRASHES PS4 SLIMS, this is just great for xmas. I already complained, called and sent emails to SONY and THQ and got no positives answers. All the possible troubleshooting did not work!!!
    Would like to be surprised that the game actually worked for ps4 slim owners.
    In the mean time they can duck themselves with this fracking scam

    Woohoo darkpuzzle 2 a game so old it made it into every sale this year in single digits….the darksiders games were dope…YEARS AGO….can’t remember the last time someone was really excited for darksiders…kung fu panda ?? Really ?? …I guess it’s a bad play at the child market….this is the greedy Japanese corporate model at work here..you don’t have to buy battlefront to get screwed over..just look at this years backlog…you would think with Sony having a record year..they’d improve the quality of the games they dish out…before any of you squares come for me..you’re probably here complaining about free games because that’s all You have…my library is stocked…I’m posting an opinion because psn is just becoming a lynchpin for the in game online services it offers..not for being the independent entity that Sony wanted it to be…I just backlog and get on with my day because I know that is gonna be trash..but I subscribed…so I need all my free ish….lol..it’s not like we’re asking for monster hunter or COD or anything unreasonable for that matter…just better offerings than Sony has been giving

    I love all the “Gamers” that are complaining about games being not worth a lot in the store like “Hey, the games you are offering are worth like $5, that’s BS for something i pay for”….Seriously guys…..3 games or so each month worth $5 each….Lets do the math…..$15 a month game value, 12 months a year, oh Jesus, would you look at that, $180 value a year….god it must be awful paying less than that each year for the sub, you have my upmost sympathy, how could a multinational corporation intent on making money do such a thing to us, its unforgivable saving us gamers money. FOR SHAME SONY, FOR SHAME. (For those of you that don’t get it, i’m mocking all the people complaining about value with sarcasm :D)

    I have to admit, I would rather have the first Darksiders game listed instead of the second game, since I know that the first game is also on the PS4. Don’t get me wrong, I want to play both, but then again, I never played either one of the games. Then again, I would go read the lore just so I can get the entire picture and not wonder what the hell is going on.
