  • Phew…I was able to snag a pair of tickets at around 1:25pmET using Internet Explorer. I just had to keep refreshing the page until I eventually got though. I even got a confirmation email with a PDF of my tickets. And please people stop saying that whoever got tickets is lying. We are not lying. Some of us were able to get them before the BIG CRASH!!! Good luck to you guys. Hope for the best.

  • I’ve never seen SONY reply do any comments here… Admins, sure… Mods, sure… But no one from Sony itself. I doubt it’ll start now. Sony being Sony, they’ll blame Gofobo, just like they do with 3rd party devs when there’s some hardware issue :(

    • I hope you realize that admin comments ARE from Sony. Those guys literally work for Sony.

What’s annoying is the radio silence since the website crash.

    • Also, of course Sony would blame Gofobo. These aren’t Sony’s servers that crashed, they’re Gofobo’s servers. Sony didn’t do anything except make a bad decision on who to partner with this year.

    • Just like the support forum, right?! (I gotta highlight the SARCASM here, just in case…)

    • So who’s to blame? Sony knew they couldn’t handle it… like last year! Ultimately, it’s still Sony who f%$ked up!

    • SlyCooperFan100

That’s because Sony switched services. Stop pointing fingers with the wrong facts. Sony used Eventgrid for the past three years, and switched to Gofobo this year. Gofobo likely told Sony, “Yes, we can absolutely handle that kind of server load,” and they have obviously been unmasked.

    • Because this kind of BS NEVER happened in the past… RIGHT?! We’re in 2017 man, there are no excuses for this kind of BS! And when you know that your community is THAT vocal, you can’t be on radio silence on EVERY single platform available. Sony has the habit of “hoping” people will move on and forget. Not being able to fix or address an issue is one thing. Promoting this broken thing without addressing is simply a slap in the face!

    • SlyCooperFan100

You’ve clearly got a lot of pent-up frustration against Sony as a company that is unrelated with Gofobo. This isn’t the time or place for that right now.

    • Your comments are not helping in either diffusing nor helping. If you have nothing to add, just move on. I’ll do like everyone else and “wait” for someone from Sony to actually say something…

    • Well, he is right though… show some respect to your fans and actually communicate with them.

  • HELP…Gofobo page won’t load U.S.

  • 3 hours, people! We’re coming upon 3 hours!

  • SlyCooperFan100

Three hours now, with no comment from either Gofobo or Sony. This is ridiculous.

  • ExplodingJuice82

Man I am the only one who managed to get tickets? I really hope not. I really do not understand why Sony decided to go with Gofobo instead of ANY other site that handles this type of event better. I got my tickets for the NYC showing in Union Square. Haven’t missed a year yet and not aiming to miss one ever! Good luck everyone! <3

    • SlyCooperFan100

I’ve gone to Union Square every year as well. Would love to know someone since I usually go alone. Shame I can’t get tickets yet. :/

    • Youre not the only one, but I imagine there are like under one hundred people who actually managed to get in. Also I dont want to curse at you on the official blog but I hate you and your positivity.

    • ExplodingJuice82

@SlyCooperFan100 If you are not able to get tickets let me know! I may have an extra one. A friend of mine may not make it to the event. If he does not make it you can have the ticket. Just gotta figure out how to meet up if necessary. =D

    • SlyCooperFan100

I’ll send you messages through PSN, ExplodingJuice. I highly appreciate the offer given the crap they’re doing here. Thanks :)

    • ExplodingJuice82 can I connect to your computer with TeamViewer to get my tickets? Pwretty Pleeaaase

    • SlyCooperFan100

Xiphex, it wouldn’t work. The website should be down for him now as well as the rest of us.

  • so just to clarify since I am new to the conversation.

No one has been able to get the tickets right?

I have been trying but no luck connecting to the server

  • Please Shuhei, let us get our tickets.

  • I CALLED OFF FOR THIS!!!!!

  • Welp, the ‘Is it Down’ site says Gofobo is still down. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

  • Not sure why Sony decided to go with some no name company like Gofobo. What were you guys thinking exactly? Their site is down for 3 hours and completely silent. They displayed a maintenance message from September 2016. They had a false invalid code page load. They were 5 minutes late to even have the link up. Absolutely inexcusable.

  • Second update: Had a chance to finish my MCD Breakfast, Take a shower, Drink a kickstart (Mango lime) and pet my dog.

Site is still down. I gotta head into work by 2:30pm (on AZ Time)
So. I’ll try and check for tickets while at work if it’s slow.

  • I went to the PS Experience last year and it was fun. This was in Orlando and I got my tickets pretty quick. I want to go this year so bad… I hope this gets fixed. I tried logging in using cached and on a page its like “No screenings available for this”. I cant tell if that means no tickets… Or just because the site went down.

    • SlyCooperFan100

That’s because cached versions of the site are not the live versions of the site. You can’t get a ticket through that.

    • I wouldnt think so. I was just trying to see if they were gone through the site.

    • I have open the app and it shows me if its connected or not. Hopefully that will the way to find out if the site is up…

    • this is the 3rd year I have been doing this. Previous two event grid pretty much crap out for the first hour even during registration. Since they have a lock on the tick during ppl crapping out, so some of the tick just went back after but before that it always shows sold out or witting list. So some ppl who have no idea about that will just give up or join the waiting list. People who know what was going on in the first year will just come back later for ticket. Even that, some people just shows up and still get a seat. This year, basically site just give up and people are all assuming there are ticket so it will keep crapping out and it become a staring game to see how give up first.

    • I’m from Fort Myers but I was in Orlando last year too, the energy and hype was crazy! Remember when Shawn mentioned the Orlando shooting from the day prior? That was something. Something personal to that city.

  • So I’ve been able to eat, take a shower, sleep, go get food, play some last of us……and gofobo still dosent work

  • At this point we might as well act as a DDOS attack on purpose to cause them heartburn…. everybody pound F5 as fast as possible on there link in 3, 2, 1 ..

  • Game over the more you try to help the more you lose OyO AAAAAAAAH! Achivment unlocked get 100% lvl of insanity. Jeuses f***

  • Im sure once the site goes back up there will be plenty of tickets to be had. Now the question is, what time??…

  • Ima cry if I don’t get a ticket cuz I was here right when the link was available and if the ppl who got here really late get a ticket before me is just f**ked up

  • I’m still not getting anything from the gofobo link either.
I’ve been refreshing the page for the last 30 minutes and now instead of a blank page, it’s an error 503. I guess that’s better than a blank page, right?

  • Sony Exec #1: So what should we do for our E3 Experience tickets this year?
Sony Exec #2: We’ve used Eventgrid for a few years now, want to roll the dice with them again?
Sony Exec #1: Nah, it’s always a cluster-f, how about a new service that is accustomed to these types of programs and volumes?
Sony Exec #2: How about Gofobo?
Sony Exec #1: What the F is a Gofobo?
Sony Exec #2: No idea really, but could they be worse? No one knows who they are should be a perfect fit.
Sony Exec #1: Can they handle the traffic?
Sony Exec #2: They told me as much.
Sony Exec #1: Well, as long as they said they could, we should do it!

    *everything goes terribly wrong*

    Sony Exec #1 & #2: … …

  • SlyCooperFan100

FINALLY an update from PlayStation’s Twitter account: “We’re looking into issues users are having getting tickets to this year’s E3 Experience. Stay tuned for updates.”

  • The comments only went 4 pages last year. We set a new record. So we got that going for us at least.

  • Is It Down is saying Gofobo is up and running now…we’ll see about that.

  • This is BS been trying for 4hours and must leave work to go home

  • They finally made a statement on Twitter… Sadly they didn’t say much…

  • Rest assured, Playstation is “looking into issues users are having getting tickets to this year’s E3 Experience”.

    https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/869652461794885632

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel better.

  • I have been trying since 1pm eastern time and it has been down the whole time so I don’t believe anyone saying they got tickets! #RefreshingTheBrowser

  • iamtylerdurden1

Farpoint is the most impressive thing on any VR, i love it. Gonna stream it some more.

  • Is It Down says DOWN. I’m surprised there hasn’t be anything for the Games media outlets…

  • I have a dentist appointment now. I hope it doesn’t go up when I am at the appointment…..

  • One, two, three, FOUR! Four hours! Ah! Ah! Ah!

  • ExplodingJuice82

Ok so I got some hostile messages on PSN about providing proof that I got my tickets for the NYC Union Square theater (some while hostile made me laugh, some are just mean in spirit) but here is the proof. Click the link : http://imgur.com/j1cHPgz

Also, let’s stop being mean to people because they got lucky. If some people ended up getting tickets and have an extra one or two then try reaching out to fellow PlayStation fans and help them by holding on to that extra ticket for them! Just meet there and you all go in as a group and GG!

We are a community after all (one of the greatest in all of gaming) let’s behave that way! <3

  • Guys! Sonys twitter said the following:

We are looking it to it, stay tuned for upates

    https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/869652461794885632

  • Has Sony given an ETA on when the site will be up and running for the tickets? I did request some time off for this, Yet I still have a 3rd shift job to work today. :(

    • Their Twitter says that they are aware of the issue, Sand by for updates

    • SlyCooperFan100

No update at all. They’re “looking into” it.

    • yeah man, although I am off, I get you, Cuz I have a movie to go to, not cool to use a phone in the theatre.

    • Gonna be a sad day if I miss it, I thought I took all the right steps to be prepared. Things like this is unforeseeable, but still. I couldn’t make it last year because of work, so i figured I’ll make up for the lost time for something I’m so eager for.

    • Same! D: @ your reply to your own post lol

  • woo this is a long wait

  • Oooh. A stealth update is up on the page. They’re “looking into it”.

Fingers crossed the missing of the out doesn’t happen.

  • Rip 5 hour of lost time nothing that I tried worked what I have tried: changing browser, enable sever thing in each Browser, clearing history cookies etc.., the app it self incognito tab but all come to a concustion https://www.gofobo.com/index.php/PlaystationE32017 gods with you hope and time is with you see if my tried solution works for you the app it self says you are and connected online but the plasation has an error when you click faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa** he** dip ship

  • “Tickets Update: We’re looking into issues users are having getting tickets to this year’s E3 Experience. Stay tuned for updates.”

Re: This update, I won’t yell at Sony, but you’d think that after doing this for a few years they’d move to handling ticketing services either through a more legitimate site or internally. I mean, who does Sony work with when they work do distribute movies? Or any other content for that matter.

  • Anyone who has played demon souls or dark souls knows giving up is not an option but a will of commitment and skill this is just raised the bar of new lvl’s of sinasity that was never achievable till this very day

    • ^^^^^^^^^^^^What he said. I’ll fight you all to the death!!!! :P Cmon, I don’t need to sleep, I’ll be here until Socom is Remastered! lol.

Hopefully it’s back up in an hour or two..can’t be that much longer…

      ..or can it.

  • Well, the site rolled back to an apparently old security cert, I would advise not trying to connect because who knows how ruined the security of the site is right now. But obviously we’re all still gonna be refreshing, just a fair warning. Your browser will probably give you the same warning.

  • Sony and Gofobo should be completely and utterly embarrassed by this mishap. It’s been down for 4 hours and counting.

  • I’ve been trying to get tickets since 10 pacific, this GoFoBo site has been crashed since the beginning!! WTF??!!

  • Someone wake me up when the site comes back up >_< Many thanks

    • I’m legit about to pass out on my keyboard cuz I’m so tired but I don’t want to risk not getting a ticket

  • Has anyone gotten tickets for the Chicago show?

  • Does Gofobo share bandwidth with EA’s servers?!

    Come on foliks, AMIRITE!?

    • ZING

    • Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all week!

…literally. With how fast things are being fixed, I will literally be here all week.

    • Psh.. UBISOFT’s servers… have you see RAINBOW SIX SIEGE?! lol… game has had terrible servers for OVER a YEAR… beats only Socom Confrontation in how bad the servers were and for how long.

  • USA shooting ICMB Interceptor missiles. Can you residents see the missiles actually launching in the air?

  • F*** this.. I’m going home.

    *refreshes page one more time*

    Seriously now. I’m out.

    *… and one more time*

  • This is my life now.

  • I have to say, Sony needs to just take the L on this one and admit they were wrong to switch from Eventgrid to Gofobo. Everyone complained about Eventgrid last year, but I usually had few problems getting tickets with them even if sometimes I couldn’t get through. At least sometimes SOMETHING worked. With Gofobo, NOTHING works. Keep in mind I still blame Gofobo more.

    • My main concern was when I looked at the site yesterday and saw part of their registration was asking (although it wasn’t required, I guess…) for personal information that’s commonly used as answers to security questions. It just doesn’t seem like any vetting was done whatsoever. I really, truly hope no one actually put that information in, thinking it was necessary. Now the customer support line for gofobo has been disconnected, too. This is just getting worse and worse.

    • SlyCooperFan100

UberCactuar, Eventgrid asked for the same information and made it required.

    • I can see where that is suspect. I registered this morning at about 10am CST and the only questions that broached personal info was my email, city, state, and zip. As usual, I created an entirely different and unique password that I’ve never used for any site as I don’t know who the hell Gofobo is, so I feel fairly safe.

    • Eventgrid didn’t ask for your mother’s maiden name, or the name of your first pet, or your household’s annual income.

    • SlyCooperFan100

Well, as you said, it was all optional and hidden in the first place.

    • Still, companies even asking for that sort of information just screams “hey we’re harvesting your data”. Either way, i’m sure after this abomination, gofobo’s probably never going to be used, at the very least, by sony ever again. Just have to get our tickets, first…

    • What is your mother’s maiden name anyway?? Tell me.

    • @UberCactuar I don’t remember seeing all that, made my Gofobo on my phone before the site went down. Agreed though I’d never previously heard of it, I’m pretty sure even Eventgrid is a lot more mainstream.

  • Anyone know what the GOFOBO abbreviations mean?
