  • The thing that stings the most about all of this is that those of us who have tried since the time posted that don’t get tickets will have no recompense. I like the event and sincerely want to go to support the Playstation community, cheer and jeer with my fellow gamers, and see what is coming in the next year with like-minded people. Sadly, I don’t have all day to keep checking on this and in the end I’m going to be left in the dust to some scrub who gives it a whirl and happens to get in, all because I have a fulltime job which helps support the stupid amount of money I invest in my gaming hobby.

Next year, Sony, please use a service that can support the demand. Fandango, Ticketmaster, anything is better than this.

    • Turn on notifications for the PlayStation Twitter account. I don’t even use Twitter like that but it’s good for updates like these. You can have it pushed strait to your phone if you do it through the app.

    • That would also involve counting on them to deliver an immediate update via Twitter, which I doubt they will do. Hell, it took them 4+ hours to even acknowledge the issue on Twitter yesterday.

  • Will they be updating the blog or something, dont wanna sift through all comments. Haven’t commented at all in here as I have been patiently waiting like everyone since 1pm East, while at work. I agree it was a total disaster

    • Yeah, same thing as above. Turn on Notification for the PlayStation Twitter account. It send the notification pretty much instantly when they tweet.

  • Why doesn’t Ottawa ever get cool stuff like this?

  • And here I was waiting on a video update on YouTube. Who even stays on this blog?

  • Honestly I hope they dont invalidate tickets at this point. I waited 9 hours of constantly checking and finally got tickets.

    • iamtylerdurden1

How did u guys get ticks? I go every yr and have been trying since the literal min it opened yesterday. I created a gofobo account and searched the site manually but it says NO screenings exist, anywhere…i obviously tried the link and i get an invalid code. How did anyone get in?

    • I just checked over and over last night. I then switched from Chrome and used Edge. I also kept clearing my browser cache and cookies every time i checked. It finally worked and i got my tickets. I tried to get tickets on my friends gofobo and it already had stopped working within almost 5 minutes.

    • I did the same… ever since 1pm EST yesterday I have been refreshing constantly and finally at 9:00pm last night someone on the blog mentioned clearing cookies, cache and browser history but I (like others) tried it on Chrome for the longest time and no luck but then I switched to Safari and it worked on my first try and I got 2 tickets for Toronto.

  • SaviorRoseDragon

going on 12 hours with no update on twitter. yet they have time to promote these crappy games nobody is caring about right now.

  • So are we or are we not getting an update? Thanking us for patience is nice, but the lack of feedback and reports that the event may be filled up by people who found a way to game the system is a big slap in the face to people who followed Sony’s instructions and have been waiting for their follow-up as requested.

    • Just have to be early and attentive I guess. I keep refreshing things because I know at some point it’ll be there. Would have been nice though if they had given a timeframe.

    • That’s why I’m not necessarily against invalidating those tickets and starting over. Ideally I’d like to see them add an extra screen in each theater and let those who did get tickets keep them. I think that would be the solution that causes the least amount of grief.

    • but would you say that if you had already gotten tickets? ^^ LOL. JK but really, i hope they dont. I spent 9 hours to get mine and would hate to lose out if things change

    • Lol…i wouldn’t be happy about it but I’d understand.

  • Been refreshing since it “opened” yesterday – I honestly feel like Sony should wipe all “legit” tickets and start over. Reason being, there are a lot of people who obtained those tickets by being privy to information the rest of us weren’t – ie., the people over at reddit and neogaf finding and using the links to the specific screenings while the rest of us were asleep, holding out for an update from Sony as instructed. While not everyone abused the system, it looks like a fair amount of people did. We should all be on a level playing field, meaning site up and running with no glitches (even if it is slow) and everyone should have a fair shot at tickets. Sony should make those conditions happen, void the current tickets, and give everyone the same chance. That’s my take here… take it for what it’s worth.

    • What the hell are you talking about??? The ‘link/code’ that people on Reddit had was just the same URL that was posted here many many times. It wasn’t something secret or special, it was just the URL of the actual page with the tickets. They should NOT void them out because most people (Like myself) got them by following the steps given by Sony, and through the link on this page.

It was up and working perfectly fine last night from 5:30-7 PM or so because I got mine, as did several of my friends, and I even went back and checked around 6:40 or so and the site was still up, and giving out tickets.

    • A user on Neogaf figured out the direct link to each individual venue/theater, which was never published anywhere on Sony’s end or even on Gofobo. It was never given out legitimately, and people used this information to get tickets that everyone else had no access to.

I have trouble believing you when you say the site was functioning perfectly for a straight hour and a half, as I spent 10 1/2 hours refreshing the same page as everyone else, and was met with nothing but server errors. A few people reported that it was working, but this did not seem to be the case for 99% of people.

It wasn’t just as simple as “you snooze you lose” — whether it was by using information that was never posted publicly by Sony, or by being lucky enough to not be hit with errors for hours on end like most people were, some had an unfair advantage over others.

  • Why not just make it available for everyone on PS4. Why go through all that trouble and the registration is not working anyway. Better yet, use Facebook Live or YouTube Live and everyone is happy. :)

    • It will be streamed live on a few different platforms. Folks like the event status, the sense of community, and the freebies that go along with going to the theater for this.

  • Cataclysm_punk66

Is this still having problems? I’m trying to get tickets to Trussville AL but I keep getting invalid code. Didn’t have this problem last year.

    • sscguitarist182

Same here, I haven’t had any luck since it opened yesterday. I was planning on driving from Florence because I convinced my fiance we could shop in Birmingham if she would go to this event with me. Now she’s mad we can’t get tickets haha.

    • Cataclysm_punk66

twice i have had to use the “waiting list” tickets, but i can’t even find them! i’m really worried about this year. i really want to go.

  • Mak3itaphattyyy

Well, it seemed like cheating the system was the way to go in this one. fml.

  • PLEASE SONY AHHHHHH…

I have spent so much time and money being so devoted to Sony… Please allow me this once in a lifetime experience and see a showcase devoted to what I will be spending my money on in the future!

At least I will know how much I will need to spend on MORE Sony products ::both good and bad::

you are draining my pocket Sony! At least let me get to see a show! :(

either way I love you guys’

    • Still says “INVALID CODE” error :(

Trying to do the LA theaters… but still not giving me anything! :(

  • SaviorRoseDragon

yea i am starting to get thefeeling we’re not going to hear anything else about this from sony. they’re too busy promoting garbage.

    • Cataclysm_punk66

my friend and i have gone to this thing for the past 3 years, both of us are trying to get tickets but the site it still giving that “invalid code” BS and when i type in the zip code it says nothing found. are you having the same issues?

  • maybe if everyone just keeps making comments about this on all of their tweets

    • Their tweets are probably timed. Typed out a week ago and set to off. They won’t be seen. Besides, they clearly know the deal already.

    • true, but it wouldn’t hurt

    • SaviorRoseDragon

believe me people are ripping into them myself included. it’s not doing jack…. if we don’t hear something by noon PT then there’s a problem

    • ya.. same thing. when I type it in, nothing in the area has been found.

  • All that talk about voiding ALL tickets is rubbish. I was here since the start (1pm to 11:35pm) and I got the tickets fair and square just like the earlier people. We ALL had the same rng doing this, and dealt with the same issues. You want to take that away because people on reddit got in too? It’s not a good situation but come on that wouldn’t be the right way to go either.

    • SaviorRoseDragon

u wouldn’t be saying that if u didn’t get tickets like the majority of us here. neogaf and reddit supposedly hacked in and took all the tickets, and that isn’t fair to the rest of us who are folowing propper instructions and who have also been here since yesterday afternoon as well.

    • Preach it! i spent 9 hours to get mine and think its a bit ridiculous.

    • To be clear I feel bad for the people that have waited and couldn’t get it. I do, because I was right there with them.
I wouldn’t be saying to void all tickets. There are people that got it FAIR and you want to take that away from them. If I didn’t get the tickets I would be going to the line that dosen’t have tickets and wait to get in that way. I’ve been everywhere year and the non ticket people have always been sat first because there was always plenty of space for us.
Like I’ve said, its a bad situation but to take that away from people like me and the person that just commented above, I disagree. Go punish the reddit that “supposedly” leaked it. Void the tickets after a certain time. I was here with everyone else for 10 + hours, brother above was here for 9. So no, we shouldn’t get ours void.

    • It’s called leveling the playing field. Some people got theirs legit but ultimately it’s impossible to tell who used to exploit and who didn’t so a full wipe is the only way it can be fair for everyone. I refreshed from 1PM to midnight and got nothing and to think that all the tickets could be GONE due to a combination of people exploiting the system and others slipping through the cracks basically means me as well as a large sum of people essentially got screwed out of a (depending on location) once in a lifetime opportunity to have ANY type of E3 event near them. You claim to care about those that missed out but aren’t willing to sacrifice YOUR ticket for the sake of making sure everyone gets a fair shot. It’s a bit hard to believe you care at all, seeing as your very first comment was about how awful it would be if you lost your ticket over this.

    • But it wasn’t really “fair” was it? It was dumb luck. Fair would be showing up as soon as registration opened and nabbing your tickets as intended. Instead, the system was entirely broken and some people just so happened to get through on pure happenstance, but that doesn’t make it fair, because not everyone had that same opportunity to even try — we just got 10 hours of errors. It’s up to Sony to make it ACTUALLY fair — not pure RNG or cheating the system.

    • SaviorRoseDragon

the way i see it is, no matter what sony comes up with, there will be backlash over it. i think adding a second and possibly even a third screen to each venue would be their best option, with a better way for the rest of us to get tickets. if they void the tickets completely and those who got lucky don’t get lucky a second time, well those ppl will be very angry. and if they just say there’s nothing they can do and that’s that, then that will be the worst way to go about it.

    • This isn’t a game. This is the real world. There is no RNG. RNG is fair at least in that everyone has the same chance (as well as in that everyone knows what they’re in for going in, the game designers generally don’t lie to you and say it’s first come first served and then make it governed by RNG in reality). There is no pre-programmed pattern to the system BREAKING. Heck, even in the world of games, there is no developer intent behind people using exploits to game the system.

    • I do care but I’m also defending people like me and others through the comments that got in sitting here like everyone else trying to open the damn link. That’s your opinion if they void my tickets then I’ll be here trying to get it fairly again.

  • Could someone tell me what do I need to do after creating Gofobo account?

    • SaviorRoseDragon

u sit and wait like the rest of us, most likely to find out that we’re beat and have to suffer while jerkoffs cheated the system supposedly to ruin everyone else’s good time

    • Apparently travel back in time to yesterday and find the link on NeoGaf and cheat your way into your passes. Waiting for Sony to deliver on what they promised doesn’t seem to be getting the rest of us anywhere.

    • Really hope that the tickets are given out appropriately as there was no cheating on this end. Just a ton of refreshing for 9 and a half hours yesterday and patiently waiting today. Gonna be extremely upset if Sony doesn’t handle this properly.

    • sit around and wait like the rest of us for no imformation

    • Thanks

  • Mak3itaphattyyy

PS4 will most likely void early tickets and do it all over. Thats what the insiders are saying.

  • according to what I’m told from people who called playstation, they are still looking into it, and they will post something on the blog when there is new information

  • Honestly I spent 8hours refreshing that site and waiting just like everyone else on here till I finally got my tickets. No tricks just erased my cookies and reopened my browser, so if they voided the tickets I for one would be really upset for all my time and effort to just be voided out.

    • There are a ton of other people who put in that same exact amount of effort (or more) and have zilch to show for it. Luck doesn’t make one person more deserving than another. This was not a lottery system. Being lucky in this case does not mean “fair and square”. If it WERE a lottery system, then yes. I could see why you would be offended about your ticket taken away. But we should all have a fair shot, and we didn’t.

    • Right, luck doesn’t mean you’re more deserving but that doesn’t mean those who did get tickets should be punished. I spent most of my day like everyone else trying to get tickets and finally being able to get them, only to get invalidated is not the solution. Hopefully Sony figures out something for those that are still trying.

    • I don’t see it as a punishment. Those of us WITHOUT tickets are being punished moreso. As I said, we’re the ones with nothing to show for our efforts currently. The system was broken, reset it and level that playing field. If keeping your tickets means that much to you, you’ll be right there ready to grab them a second time when everything is in working order.

    • Except it is a punishment. A lot of us had to take time off to try to get these tickets, myself included, so it’s very unlikely we’ll have the same free time to grab them again if they “level the playing field.” They can come up with other solutions like adding theaters in each area as they’ve done before. That’s more practical than resetting everything.

  • SagittariusX159

Woohooo I got my tickets!…..and then I woke up.

  • Dear Playstation customers, thank you for your patience. We have fixed the gofobo.com website link. Unfortunately, there are no E3 Experience tickets remaining. Have a nice day.

    • -_- Don’t say things like that, seriously.

    • Cataclysm_punk66

so then where are the waiting list tickets? no limit for them.

    • SaviorRoseDragon

he/she was trolling obv. i’ve been stalking the playstation twitter and the blog front page since i woke up and there hasn’t been any news on this situation yet today.

  • I took a nap and woke up and still nothing.

  • Hey PlayStation team I used the link provided and fallowed all instructions. gofobo says it is unavailable. I’m really trying to go is there another way.

  • I have been trying since yesterday. I have been to a screening at Lynhaven 18 in VA Beach, VA for each year since the start. I drove an hour each way and would like to do the same this year. I have been trying to get tickets since yesterday and have had no luck. I’m going to end up getting fired for checking my phone every ten minutes to try. Put some information out and let us know what is going on.

  • Even if you do get a ticket, they mentioned it is STILL first come first serve until the location reaches capacity. Getting a ticket was no means a guaranteed spot this year. I figure they will probably just throw out all tickets entirely and make it all completely first come first serve and just check IDs to make sure you are 17 or up.

  • It doesn’t make any sense. I had the site up before it launched. Clicked as soon as it did and was unable to load it. On top of that I had logged into gofobo about 20 min before. About 5-10 min before their site wouldn’t load. And it’s absurd to say it was because of RNG. I don’t understand why they didn’t go with the site they used last year. Granted that one had issues to but at least they didn’t have this kind of issue. Hopefully Sony will reset everyone to the same playing field and redo the tickets using a better site.

    • How about because everyone else was doing what you did :

‘On top of that I had logged into gofobo about 20 min before. ‘ lol!!!

You were not the only one doing this I am 100% sure. So of course it went down before hand, hell iot probably even added to it. I wish they hadn’t announced who was doing it beforehand. Maybe it would have faired better because some people would have been creating accounts, and using a different part of the site, rather than just one single page all at once lol.

  • Technically it’s always been first come first serve, they line up the people with tickets let them in then once that lines done they let the overflow line in I.e. people without tickets.

  • WHAT IS EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT ‘Hacking/cheating the system’???

It was just the URL! And it is in the commnets here as well many many times:

    https://gofobo.com/main/local_movie_screenings/740

You can go there, and you can ,oad the page, but the back end is broken still. Go for it! ‘Cheat’ the system lol.

The clear and simple truth is that the site is still broken, and isn’t working. BUT it was working for about 2 hours last night from around 5PM to 7PM PST. That is when I, and all of my friends got tickets. (Portland Oregon), as well as many others.

Just be patient. They are not ‘ALL GONE’ because of ‘Hackers’. And what if they were??? They aren’t hackers, they are just people who wanted to go to the show, and KNOW HOW TO USE GOOGLE!!!! Jeebus man, get over it people.

  • I believe Sony should void tickets from people that got them after they stated they pulled the site.
The others that got their ticket before they stated they pulled the site should be able to keep them

That what I think would be fair

  • Never felt so refreshed in my life.

  • SaviorRoseDragon

it’s been 24 hours and no fix yet this is absolutely ridiculous.

    • Cataclysm_punk66

where are you getting your updates from? i’m at work watching this thing like a hawk but i got the same stuff,
waiting list tickes never ran out the last 3 years so why this year? i would be happy with them but this site won’t load anything.

    • SaviorRoseDragon

playstation twitter feed. they said they’d post an update today and they haven’t yet. they said they pulled the site last night and thats the last thing we know

  • I was lucky enough to get tickets yesterday the proper way no scamming the system just pure refresh refresh. I dont think just throwing out all the tickets from yesterday is the best way to go. why punish the people that did get tickets. Yes it does suck that Gofobo crashed and Sony should have known this was going to happen there are over 50 million PS4s out there even just 1% of those people all trying to get in would crash it. If I didnt get tickets yesterday i wouldnt be telling them to get rid and start over its just like with any other service like getting tickets for concerts those sits crash all the time and they dont start over.

  • SMH… everyone saying all tickets should be void…. so people who didnt get tickets so far are more entitled than the people who got tickets?

    • Nope. People who got tickets simply got lucky. But as I’ve said before, this isn’t a lottery, and luck shouldn’t count here. The playing field was not level and we were dealing with a broken system. Sony needs to fix it, and reset it so everyone gets an ACTUAL chance.

    • Its the luck of the draw every year for these things. Its all about refreshing trying to get to the site and hoping that it isnt all filled up by the time you get there. Granted yes the site before didnt completely crash like Gofobo did but you still had times of refreshing over and over to get it to load.

    • Except this wasn’t a game of luck, most people who got tickets did so by literally cheating the system and far far too many people got screwed out of even a CHANCE to get even a single ticket. You’re the entitled one acting as though you were blessed by some random god and thus treating your ticket as a right you don’t want taken away from you. You’re basically saying to thousands of people that they can go screw themselves because YOU got a ticket so it’s not YOUR problem.

    • WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

The link that people used to ‘cheat’ is in these posts! It was juts the URL to the page to get tickets. It is still ive, it juts doesn’t list anything currently.

There was no hacking, or cheating, or anything, If you don’t know how to use Google then that is not those peoples fault. Many many people got them the was here, through the link on this page. We shouldn’t be punished for something out of our control. The same complaints come from people who don’t get PAX tickets EVERY YEAR.

Honestly, if you don’t live in a HUGE city like LA, or new York the tickets won’t sell out ok?

    • Also @AlphakirbyX, IF you got your tickets, you would be saying the SAME exact thing we are, and don’t try to say you wouldn’t be! lol because we all know you would be!

  • A very small amount of people got tickets and 99% of them were neogaf cheaters. Yet, there are hundreds if not thousands of people that have been trying to get them legitimately, so yes, I say void the tickets and start fresh. Give everyone a time and date where they will appear again and give everyone an equal opportunity.

    • Cataclysm_punk66

      agreed

    • In all curiosity, does anyone happen to have the link to the neogaf thread i keep seeing? not saying i dont believe anyone, i just want to see everything that happened

    • that would be that best way to go about it I think

    • @mr_brutality_7 I just looked it up. It’s at 65 pages! I don’t want to post it here because I don’t want to support the cause or get in trouble. It’s pretty easy to find on Google if you really want to see it.

    • @JSmash7 I found it, was looking at the wrong one at first.

    • Zealous-Champion

a very small amount? 99%? well than i am the 1%. Don’t think that it right to void the tickets of legitimate ticket holders all because you couldn’t access the site at the designated time. it took time, and it was a lot of refreshing, different browsers, etc. But i got in. Should they have established better server agreements with sony? yes. Is it right to punish users who legitimately acquired tickets and void them? NO

    • So you are suggesting we give almost all the tickets to the Neogaf hacks and not the Playstation Nation that’s been trying to get them legitimately. I was here for 9 1/2 hours yesterday from the second the “get ticket” buttoned popped just like all the other amazing people that have stuck around in this blog chat and I was never able to get tickets. I’m not saying it’s right that you or the very, very few other legit people would have their tickets taken away, but I would rather see the people that have been here trying to get them legitimately get them.

  • They’re not going to void the tickets just because hundreds of people are gonna show up to each theater with printed tickets who don’t follow this debacle. They’re not going to deal with thousands of people across the country showing up with tickets that they said were gonna work WITH CONFIRMATION and then all of sudden does not. Sony is going to take the path of least resistance, the easiest and cheapest way out. Tickets are sold out. Not like this will hurt their bottom line.

    • Except that’d be a PR disaster, it basically means only a handful of people legitimately get to go while all of Reddit and NeoGAF get away with cheating. Sony is aware a lot of people are affected and that just saying “Sorry guys you should’ve exploited the broken systems” would bring a massive storm of anger towards them.

    • Unfortunately, it would hurt their bottom line. Given how few people seem to have gotten tickets, compared to the size of the player base, they would be turning most of their users/financial income away by saying “No ticket? Too bad.” They could honor the tickets with priority seating, as in “even though we voided it, if you managed to get one you can have first dibs at a seat”, provided they received a proper ticket after the void. Not an ideal solution, given that means two tickets, but it would still allow the rest of the base to have a fair shot to attend.

    • This OP is correct, how would they even do this ‘Revoke’ of tickets? Have you been to one of these things? They have a couple of people at a folding table looking at the printed tickets, and handing out badges/swag. We have our tickets in hand and printed out. The people at the location aren’t going to deal with the mess of what that would bring on lol, they are minimum wage peeps who just want to get you in the door, and then they want to go home when it is done.

Also, this doesn’t effect their bottom line in any way… Look at all the angry people over not getting stuff in the past? Did they suddenly close up shop and go away? No of course not. Are you telling me that if you can’t get into this you are not going to buy any more Sony games/products? HA! I seriously doubt that, and if you do, what are you going to do with your current Sony stuff? Burn it? No, you would sell it on to a NEW Sony customer lol.

Also, all this does if it hits the news is tells people that the public REALLY wants to go to these things, driving up popularity, and turns into GOOD news press, raising their stock. lol

Seriously, this is nothing to get worked up over. What are you missing out on? A cool badge thingy? $10 in PSN monies?

    • Have Gofobo send out an email stating their tickets have been void.

  • I don’t get the uproar about voiding the tickets, if you’ve got the time to be posting here, then you’ve obviously got the time to go grab tickets from a new legitimate source. Most of us wasted the entire day yesterday trying for tickets and would just like a legitimate chance at getting tickets today, as Sony seemed to allude to us being able to have today. If that’s not going to happen, at least a message from an admin that there are no more tickets because #reasons would be a kindness to the people sitting here waiting for something that isn’t going to happen. Either update us or set us free.

    • i mean, i get it. I would be just as upset if i haven’t got tickets yet. I agree that this whole thing was beyond a mess and still is since no updates are being given. And yeah i have the time, i have to stick around and see if my tickets get voided if sony does something different.

  • The event is free. I don’t understand why they don’t just have the theaters let people line up, and let people in until the theater is full. It would negate the need for tickets and crashing sites, especially since they are giving out more tickets than seats, anyway. They could just distribute codes for the digital extras at the event.

I also don’t really believe the “I happened to hit refresh at the right time and got tickets” people. I’m with the crowd that has been checking since it opened. Every time, I have either gotten the server down error or the invalid code message. I heard about the “side door” and even that didn’t work when I tried, but I didn’t know about that until this morning. Maybe it worked last night, who knows.

Hopefully Sony breaks the radio silence soon.

    • So are you calling the people that did get the tickets legitimately liars now? Im like you i didnt hear about the “back door” way until this morning. I kept hitting refresh on the site for a good hour and a half before i finally got in. I had explorer and chrome both going and explorer was the one that worked for me.

    • @mobes20 i didnt hear about it until about an hour ago. I tried chrome and edge for hours. Finally worked when i cleared my caches and retried with edge before sony announced they pulled the site.

    • @mobes20 No, there is a slim chance that it may have worked. Given the hours some people list, especially from yesterday, some of them seem a bit questionable. Poor phrasing on my end, my bad.

    • @mr_brutality_7 yea you and me did it the right away with getting tickets..

    • I am right there with you, but I got my tickets at 5:30, through the link on this page, and like they intended, and so did my friends who I immediately texted (Hell I even posted here when I got them!), as did many many many other people. It WAS working for like 2 hours yesterday evening like it was intended to work. I know this because I kept checking, and it was always reloading for me right up until 7PM yesterday.

  • Still nothing? Come on Sony!

  • I keep getting an “Invalid Code” error when i try to access the ticket link. What’s up with this? Also, last year we were able to get waitlisted, can we do that this year?

  • they need to void the tickets or make a second theatre available for each location.

    • Zealous-Champion

Void the tickets for those that purchased and acquired them legally and effectively? I waited almost two hours after the initial release going live and with some luck was able to acquire tickets. I don’t think that’s fair to void everyone who tried and successfully got tickets. More theater’s sure! but don’t void the tix that legitimate people already have.

    • They either do that or throw everyone under the bus for NeoGAF and Reddit. There’s no way for them to tell which tickets were gotten the intended way or not so it’s either “Yeah you should’ve cheated TOO BAD” or “We’ve decided to give everyone a shot and voided the tickets”
On top of that these are free tickets so it’s not like you can’t just get them again.

    • Zealous-Champion

it’s not cheating if it’s public information, thats publicly posted. It doesn’t matter what happened on reddit, that link was posted on for all to see.

    • The Konami Code is public information too, still makes it a cheat.
At the end of the day there was an exploit that was taken advantage of and it’s unfair to screw over a majority for those that used said exploit.

  • I took screen shots of the cheats that were used to get the tickets, don’t know how I can get them on here, the post will need to be moderated

  • I would not have an issue if it worked like say, a U2 concert. Click on the like shortly around when the tixs are available to find, they are all gone. But yesterday we were greeted with nothing but an error page. Not even an actual page to see if tickets were gone. And anyone who did manage to get through to the Goflub, Go FU, or whatever page still not only had to register for an account for spam purposes but also disable ad blockers. After all that, their was just the invalid code page,

When I was buying tickets for Rogue One last year, Fandango and Alamo had a virtual waiting line which eased the strain on their ticketing website just to prevent it from crashing, Sure it looked weird to be number 2,000 or something in line, but it gives you an idea o the scale of how much the page is being clicked on.

This was a total clusterbomb by both Sony and the event company. Whatever solution Sony comes up with in the end will probably not be any good.

  • Is the link not working because the tickets are already gone? Shoot, I was hoping to finally go to it, this year.

    • Still a combination of error codes, lucky breaks, and people cheating to get tickets. Likely not “sold out” right now.

    • Given that every single one of those neoGAF links leads you to a page that says the event is full, it’s likely that it’s sold out.

  • O see we’re all still here… waiting.

    • I have been here since I got to work at 8am and I work at a doctors office. No one is getting better until I get my tickets.

Do you really want that blood on your hands Sony?

Please help us out. Please. People are dying including me. But mine is emotional…

  • I really feel like this was all a big “chance” or “luck” type of thing. Some people were saying that they got tickets and others said they kept refreshing and it worked. I didn’t get anything. Gave it a break after a few hours and came back to see if it was working and still nothing. Got an error page. Then later last night tried again and got an invalid code page on GoFobo. Today I finally was able to make an accoun on GoFobo and when I tried the link again it still didn’t work. At this point I give up and I’ll just watch E3 at home lol. Last year was so easy for me to get tickets I was pleasantly surprised, but this year.. this year has disappointed me but oh well. They are free tickets so whatever. Whoever gets to go enjoy it! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • @AlphakirbyX Seriously dude, if you had tickets you would NOT be calling for voided tickets so hard lol. Get over it, and wait. I am almost 100% sure you will get your tickets when it is back up, unless you live in a HUGE city with only one theater playing it.

    • I was concerned I might not get the chance due to the exploits. And for the record I’m so irate because I spent from 1PM to midnight trying to get tickets to no avail. On the bright side i spoke with PS Support and they’ve set my worries about that at ease.

  • SaviorRoseDragon

it’s been over 16 hours since playstation last said anything about this. they must be really stumped on what they’re going to do and tell us. for taking this long they better come up with the best possile route for this. i’ll be very angry if they say screw it and just cancel the experience altogether

  • CwosbyTheImpaler

To you people who think u the man because u found a way around well your full of s×××

  • We’d all like an update on this fiasco. Lack of communication isn’t helping this for you guys. This is the 4th year in a row I’d be going, and you shouldn’t have fixed what isn’t broken. Event Grid was working perfect for the past 3 years. The first year was a bit of a mess but they got their stuff together and fixed it. The last two years were stellar with tickets. Little to no issue, although you could say that there definitely wasn’t enough theaters for tickets for everyone who wanted to go. With as big as this thing is, you shouldn’t have waited until like two weeks before to announce this, and you shouldn’t have done it the day after announcing it either. Let alone let someone who has little to no idea the amount of traffic this event is capable of, run this into the ground.

As much as I like this event, this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m sure everyone else feels the same way. It’s annoying that there’s little to no information on how this is going to be remedied. And leaving a window so vast for the time frame instead of narrowing it down for the people who sat here for hours yesterday trying to get tickets doesn’t help.

Now get in here and tell your loyal fans what the hell is going on. Promptly.

  • if some people got tickets, then why are they here now?

    • im here because im waiting to see what Sony says about this. (ie tickets being voided or if another method will be used) I did get a ticket. My friends did not. I have been checking here and twitter for any signs of an update

    • can you get 2 tickets like last year?

    • @SagittariusX159 Yes, i was able to get 2 tickets through my Gofobo account.
