PlayStation Plus: Free Games for March 2016

Well, you’ve done it again! After an exciting Vote to Play campaign, PlayStation Plus users have selected Broforce as the first title in March’s PS4 free games lineup. You picked it, you got it!

If you’re a fan of the other two games, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Assault Android Cactus and Action Henk will be available for PlayStation Plus members with a 30% discount from March 8th to March 21st.

So what can you expect as a bro in Broforce? You’ll fight evil and rescue bro teammates using fire, napalm, and whatever else you find in the name of freedom. We hope you enjoy this run ‘n’ gun shooter with up to four of your closest bros.

Next up, Galak-Z, a two dimensional sci-fi shooter taken to the next level. Pilot your ship through this physics-driven, procedurally generated world while surviving several enemy factions. Wait, did I mention that your ship can transform into a laser sword-wielding Mech? Can this get any better? (Hint: Stay tuned for exciting news about Galak-Z in the coming weeks.)

I a mention to hardware rivals in this topic and rocket league. Hardware rivals was free for almost 2 months (as a beta) then bam! full release its playstation+ reward line up. And Rocket League was just a FTP port. But in other news. Due to the **** line up of Playstation+ games I ended up selling my PS4 and reverting back to a PS3 and PSP for better games till a good amount of decent games come out that are not cross by or on PC. I found the fact Playstation+ line ups where not driving me to keep the Playstation+ as a extra incentive. I mean PS3 does not have to pay for online services just to play its online multiplayer. Playstaion+ was just a nifty bonus for deals and a few games for a few USD a month. PS4 was like that I would not find much of a complaint but… Alas… Must pay for online multiplayer except for a handful of games. And allot of games are cross buy anyway or just Indies from the PC scene.

I cannot believe the negativity on these boards. These indies that Sony releases for free, are generally great games. I’ve never even heard of Broforce before this and I can’t stop playing it. Rocket League was one of the best games of 2015. I often joke to my friends that I have $250 worth of games on my shelf and all I play are the free ones. Open your eyes gamers who refuse to play these games because they’re not AAA titles. These independent studios, staffed with only a handful of people, pour their lives into these great games that get labeled as “garbage” by a scene that will never even play them because they “look like they’re from the 90s on the NES”. Entitled children throwing tantrums on the Internet…

  Sorry. I never said indies where bad. I just hate the quality of the indies that are being pumped out. But a “Indie” Title in my eyes should not be something free. I mean Indies are made by companies who are not associated with major labels thus would need all the revenue they can get to grow. Also… My major issue with them is they are mostly “Retro” style games. Meaning even though my home console can shoot out beautiful graphics… its wasted on 8bit theater games of my personal youth. I been playing console games since the 1970’s (Yes I am that old to know what a Magnavox Odyssey is.) Most indies are a step back to the 80’s Kinda wish the small companies would aspire to something by spending a little more then 3-4 weeks to make a game that would actually look and feel amazing in this generation / On this generation’s consoles. But I ultimately have no issues with the games them selves. Just personally don’t see my self keeping Playstation+ on PS4 because all i get is Generation 3-4 Style games on a Generation 8 console. After all Gen 5 games have a full updated version in G8 graphics. such as remakes of resident Evil and some Final fantasy (classic) have HD versions that can just as easy be ported over.

Can sony maybe add PSP Original titles to free for the Vita/PS3/PS4, sony can easily emulate the Original PSP on the PS4.
The VITA really lacks great games.

Okay… we all know that the playstation plus free games are terrible. They should at least make PS NOW free for PS plus users.

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT SOME FRESH TITLES THAT ARE REALLY GREAT GAMES TO BE POSTED ON THE STORE THAT ARE NOT OVER PRICED JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE DIGITAL CONTENT? I ALWAYS SEE GAMES I WANT BUT WOULD NEVER PAY THAT PRICE BECAUSE GAMESTOP OFFERS THE SAME TITLE BUT INSTEAD OF CHARGING 49.99 FOR DIG CONTENT THEY ARE 6.99 FOR AN ACTUAL COPY. GOOD GAMES LIKE RED DEAD REDEMTION-GTA5-ADVANCED WAREFAR-BATTLEFIED-SAINTS ROW-JUST THE GOOD GAMES THAT HAVE BEEN ARROUND A WHILE.

I’ve been off PS plus for 4 months and haven’t looked back…well I guess to see what crap they are giving every month. My PC/Steam Controller is taking over! Hey playstation…when will you actually let us customize every button for your controllers? Every game needs it’s own profile, and open up the gyroscope/gamepad for godsake! *see xbox elite controller, Steam controller.

Why are Playstation plus users getting Super Stardust HD when that was given out for free to make up for Sony accounts being hacked. Good game, but not really fair to give as a free game to paying users who most likely already have it since it was offered to everyone who had a PlayStation account. I also agree about getting a AAA game at least once in a while on PS4.

What happened to full PS3 games being offered in PS+? I only see PSN games now and to me they are less attractive than the AAA titles we used to see.

  It’s seems to be fairly obvious that Sony want to wind down the PS3 world. Being a dad with wife, mortgage and kids, I don’t get to play as much as I’d like. Fortunately this means that a bunch of AAA (or whatever you want to call them) titles that I’ve got queued to play will keep me entertained for a few months yet. It seems a while since games of the quality of the Batmans, Red Dead, FarCry 3, were on PS+. It would be nice to think that at some point, the last of the new games for PS3 – eg Last of Us, Far Cry 4, would make it to PS+ for PS3, but I’m doubting it now.
  
  I’d probably have upgraded to a PS4 if I could play all my PS3 PS+ games on it, but as I can’t, I’ll stick to the PS3 until I’ve finished them all. (Yes I’m probably not the sort of customer Sony want).
  
  My worry is that as I never actually own the titles that I’ve downloaded via PS+, that Sony will withdraw PS+ for PS3 before I’ve actually played them all, and they’ll expire.

Umm…did you guys just see the GAMES WITH GOLD lineup for April?!

I really hope SONY sees and responds accordingly.

There are 4 AAA titles for GwG: Sunset Overdrive, Dead Space, Saints Row IV and Wolf Among Us.

Maybe I shouldn’t have jumped ship if XBOX is giving that and SONY keeps giving us second rate, indie garbage.
