This February you can protect Super Earth in an intergalactic war while feeding soup to aliens! Presenting your free PS Plus games for February on PS4.

Set in a satirical and dystopian future, Helldivers offers chaotic combat against three invading enemy species. This top-down shooter focuses heavily on teamwork, as squads battle to become Heroes of the Federation. So grab your friends and take on the invaders — just be sure to watch out for friendly fire!

In Nom Nom Galaxy, you’ll enjoy a variety of gameplay; platforming, mining, base construction, resource management, tower defense, and of course, making soup. As a new Astroworker for SoupCo, you’ll be producing different soups to keep the aliens fulfilled and fighting greedy competitors.     I bought Helldivers and quickly lost interest in it…very boring and don’t know anything about the other PS4 game… lately these Plus Games have been bad. How about offering one or two AAA games with a major ‘Plus’ discount. Something in line with what Amazon.com does (more than 10% off). I don’t mind paying for a game, but lately these Plus games have been forgettable.

    Let’s see…
    Grid Autosport: Really? Have to appeal to the small masses who play these boring racing games? BARF!
    Helldivers: Looks like a run of the mill top down shooter, good for an hour or two before you get bored.
    Lemmings Touch: Two things here, why are they still making Lemmings games and stop with the Vita junk.
    Nom Nom Galaxy: Another hour of “That’s new” and then “this is boring”.
    Nova-111: Just stop with the Vita games, I’m not 12, hence don’t play handheld games. Stick to the consoles.
    Persona 4 Arena Ultimax: A subpar fighting game with zero story or originality.

    So I’ll give this entire launch 3 hours of gameplay at most and delete them all. Come on, there are some really interesting games out there still but you keep scrapping the slime off the bottom of the barrel. I’m not asking for the rich creamy top level but at least 1 or 2 mid level picks would be appreciated. Gonna go flush a toilet, that’s about as exciting as this line up.

      Yes Jaxvex, let me explain how a fighting game with no original concept is sub-par. When you bring nothing new to a genre or even improve existing ideas in the genre, you are sub-par. When you stick to out dated graphics that belong on a PS2 but try to pass it off as “retro” rather than lazy game design. It’s sub-par and that’s being nice to this game.

      Do I even play fighting games? I’ve been playing fighting games since Karate Champ. I’ll assume you don’t even know what that game is without searching for it on Google. It’s the first fighting game out there and is the template for the original Street Fighter which I also beat in the arcade. I’ve played every Street Fighter (not going to play the new one because 4 was just that awful), every Tekken, every Mortal Kombat, Bloody Roar, Clay Fighters, Killer Instinct, and even a bootleg copy of Thrill Kill.

      So when I say a fighting game isn’t worth spending time playing, I know exactly what I’m talking about because I’ve played them all. I’m a gamer, not a hippie gamer, or a guy who plays only COD but calls themselves a gamer. I play everything at least once. P4AU is being given away for free for a reason and it’s not because it’s a box office smash the gaming world is clamoring over. It’s a bargain bin game at Walmart, no literally that’s not a joke, I just saw this game in the $10 under bin at Walmart.

      Now when you get closer to my rank on PS and pick up a couple more decades of gaming, you’ll be able to tell the difference between a great fighting game and a regurgitated one that offers nothing that another game hasn’t already offered and did so in a better way. So P4AU…sub-par and if you paid cash for this game, even if just $10, you spent too much. There is a ton of better games you could have gotten, heck, I’d rather play War Gods on N64. Now I know you’ll have to google most of those fighting games because you haven’t played one of them and that’s the problem on why you can’t tell a game is sub-par, because your experience in games is limited to modern gaming and you haven’t taken the time to see what all is out there, so you know when a company is handing you a hand me down knock off fighting game.

      Actually based on your reasoning for a subpar fighting game I can now so with certainty you have no idea what your talking about. P4AU has a very unique system where you control both your character and their persona (not including Sho who doesn’t have one). It was developed by Arc Systems (also developer of Blazblue) who are pretty much known for inviting fighting games in this genre (anime fighters, look it up).

      Story I’m not going to debate with you on because if you’re saying the story for P3/P4, both highly acclaimed RPGs, is lackluster than you have no idea what you’re talking about.

      Also since you see to be completely unaware this game was a main event at last years EVO. If it was such a “subpar” game it wouldn’t have made it that far at one of the biggest fighting game tournaments of the year.

There have been fighters where you have two fighters, control a shadow, blah, blah, blah. “main event”, yes in the very small pool of fighter games out there, I’m sure sub-par is good enough. I’m sorry you have no experience in games and so something this mediocre seems amazing to you. For the rest of us who’ve played video games for more than a month, know this game is snore worthy. If it came out in the early 90’s it might have had some original ideas but now, it’s just bad recycled junk.

      Now if you two little pretend gamers are done with your uneducated opinions. I’ll be on my way, be sure to clean yourselves up, sorry I buried you both.

      I own just about everything you mentioned already, and have little interest in the others. Definitely have less interest in the rest of your list than I have in Helldivers.

      I agree the selection in the last 4 months has been junk. BUT some of those games were already on Plus. Thief I’m pretty sure was. Saints Row was I think to. Sherlock definitely was. Dishonored was just recently I think. And Devil May Cry was last year.

    Are you even trying Sony? What happened with the voting thing? I’m not paying plus when my subscription ends in July since I don’t really play a lot of online in my ps4 (except Bloodborne but I can make that sacrifice). To hell with this disappointment, really.

    I’m happy about Persona. It’s safe to say my MadCatz TE2 will be seeing some hefty use in February.

    That said, I’m rather bummed by this month’s selection. Nom Nom was JUST on sale for like nothing. Something about that feels kind of gross.

    Sorry Sony. Last February you gave us Yakuza 4, which melted my face off. I don’t think anything here will quite do that…

    I don’t imagine comments make much difference so I don’t usual make them. However here’s hoping! As a member of the program since day one I’ve been a bit disappointed in the free games portion of the PS Plus program for several months now. I spend a great deal of money on games and there have been many really great discounts on them for PS Plus members. but when it comes to free games each month for PS4 the offerings have been lacking a bit. I do enjoy indie games, but as others have mentioned too it would be nice to get a AAA game every other month or at the least 4 times a year. I too was under the (wrong apparently) impression that voting from a few different game choices was supposed to continue. What was the reason it didn’t?

    You stopped listening to your CUSTOMERS when you said there would be no more AAA titles.
    This is not how you get more people to join PS+, and until you listen to us, you will lose more.

    Before Sony made ps plus mandatory for mp this line up would have sold very small amounts of subscriptions, I doubt any of my friends would join me in my 4 years of ps plus with any of the prior years servings.I dont understand why Sony is frustratingly quiet, its obvious that a big part of the people that pay for a subscription based programs are upset. When I joined ps plus it was because of the amazing selection of AAA games, this was before it became mandatory for online play. Everyone had those games but me, and I wanted to play them on my ps 3 and vita. They had 3-4 games that represented the great variety in Sony games, games that had hundreds of people working to produce a amazing experience instead of a small group doing the best they can. Big AAA games is why so many joined ps plus in the first place, it was wrong of sony to screw the long time subscriber.

      @ Mickuchiha I expect what was advertised when I joined ps plus, which at the time was an impressive line up that sold me on site, I wouldnt humble bundle this line up. If netflix decided to just start streaming only Bmovies and indies I would be upset as well. Its sony own fault for starting strong and then just not caring about it, like they did with vita and ps tv.

      @Mickuchiha – Thanks for posting that list… while I agree that those games are certainly not garbage. Especially when you see them listed, it’s still not impressive, unless you can’t afford the hobby or are simply a casual gamer.

      Because in reality the rest of us “who aren’t poor and actually play games” have already purchased those titles. So offering them for free is moot. We already own them. Which is why they make them FREE most of the time.

      That is why we are not getting the value out of this service. Maybe Sony should offer a “games for casuals” category and keep the games for Plus for those of us that play games. They don’t have to be AAA titles and probably won’t ever be due to the size and Sony’s poor servers, but they can at least step up the title selection to something that most people don’t already own.

    When will PS4 owners get some legit games? PS3 gets great games and PS4 only gets indie games. I became a plus member 2 years ago when they gave Borderlands 2 for PS3. It seems like enough time has passed to offer legit games for PS4

    This is why i hate being a gamer. Soo many pathetic whining children. DO you even understand how lucky you are?!?! Ask OG Xbox games, ask 360 Xbox gamers before Xbox One cam out. They payed for NOTHING. You should be grateful that Sony actually created PS+. Without Sony doing this do you actually think MS would’ve jumped in? No, they wouldn’t have. There have been soo many great games that came to PS+ that opened my eyes. I see children complaining about “crappy indies”… Hey, kids.. Maybe you should try them before looking like asses. There have been soo many great ones that i NEVER would’ve played if it wasn’t for PS+. Brothers: A tale of two sons, is one of my favorite indie games. Nihilumbra for PSVita which i just finished was really good. You entitled bastards need to grow up and be grateful you’re getting something at all.

      Whining? Accepting months of junk line ups for a paid service is just dumb. You have to call out the people in charge of PS+ and hope someone higher up sees it by chance and starts questioning their lack of ability to secure even 1 top tier game in 4 months. Xbox ripped people off by making them pay to play online but PS+ on PS3 was a pay for games service, still is but now they sneak in the online pay to play with it. These are “crappy indies” or a racing game because that appeals to the masses and by masses I mean the small group of people who think pretending to drive a car is fun.

      You own a car? I can drive my car, can you? I bet you can, so driving a car in a video game, not exciting. Would you enjoy a game where you played a guy, playing a video game? Perhaps a game where you can simulate making a hot pocket. That would be killer right? The indie games have some really good ones but they give us the artsy junk ones that nobody is paying for. Why? Because they can give it to us and pay the designer next to nothing because nobody is buying their game and they will accept any money they can get. PS makes millions of PS+ and spends as little as they can for the free games, so they can have a huge profit margin. It’s basic business but really bad business when the consumers (some of us) are smart enough to call them out on it because it’s right there in your face.

    I just want some good games, I feel like the ps4 doesn’t have very many good games especially ps plus games like PS3 gets a awesome games I’m just saying how hard would it be to hook us up with God of war 3 remastered or tomb raider or anything like that you know, I like some indie games but a lot of the time they fall prett flat

    I don’t play co-op so Helldivers is unappealing to me.
    I don’t have an interest in cellphone games, so lemmings touch and nova 111 are out.
    From what I read, nom nom galaxy is just uninteresting to me on all fronts.
    I don’t have a ps3 so the only game i’m interested in, ultimax, is out of the question.

    Indie games are nice and all, but I have little interest in them.

    Overall, an OK month. I’ll get some play out of it.

    To the complainers, some of you come across constructively. The quality has decreased since MP required ps+. Unfortunately, you are generally drowned out by the whining entitled who if BO3 was given away next month would still not be satisfied. Why didn’t we get this at launch? What, we have to pay for the DLC? Haters gonna hate and will never be satisfied. Unfortunately, they make the most noise and overcome rational discussion. By the way, I can respect those of you who say you are unsubscribing and actually do. To those who haven’t, the plus sign on your avatar says you are all talk.

    To those who just want AAA PS4 games, frankly I am getting more out of a larger number of indies than most AAA games which are short, overpriced and underwhelming. Not all of them but most. Deadly Tower of Monsters is the most fun I’ve had since Bloodborne released. Maybe you don’t agree but that’s my opinion, just like you have yours.

    Sony is handing out indie games now because people need PS+ to play online. Therefore they know they do not need to hand out good retail games like they were doing on the PS3 and early on with the Vita. If it were not for online gaming, I would not be a PS+ subscriber anymore. I blame Sony for spoiling us with many many retail games on the PS3. The service seems pointless on the PS4.

    And lo! The wave of entitled jerks appear for their monthly whinefest.

    Remember, there was a time when Xbox Live and PS+ did NOT offer free games as a value-add for the service and they could just as easily return to those days. I wouldn’t blame them if they did, either, considering how much *****ing they have to endure every month when they announce their PS+ and GWG titles.

    Don’t like the games, don’t download them. Simple as that. Or just keep *****ing and one day you’ll find the service gone while you continue to pay the same amount. Your choice.

    My subscription expired a week ago. Happy with my decision not to renew it. This service is just not for me. I won’t even miss the games I already received for rent in the past year when I had the Plus. (You rent them, they are not free. If they were free I would have been able to play them now without a subscription). Goodbye and good riddance.

    Helldivers is awesome and you´re getting it for both Vita and Ps4.

    Yeah, I think it’s about time to let the sub lapse. Don’t get enough out of the multiplayer to warrant it when I can do multiplayer on my PC for free. Really what I’m looking for out of these “free” games is something of quality at least once in a blue moon from PS4, and while there have been good games, I just don’t see the value where I could be buying some of this stuff on a cheap sale for less than it costs to maintain a subscription to PS+.

    The original appeal for me in PS+ was that there was a potential for value, both monetary and personal. I would rather spend $50 on $50 worth of games I actually want, not $100 of games where I only enjoy or am interested in $30 (or perhaps less through Steam).

    Love the lineup, but I really wish you guys wouldn’t have removed PS3 and Vita games from the video preview and the headline. It feels regressive (as the lineup looks smaller than it used to be at a glance), and as someone who’s a bigger fan of the Vita than PS4, it feels ****** that it’s marginalized in an area that costs Sony zero dollars. It screams “Marketing wants us to hide the Vita”, an that just plain sucks. I get that PS3 is almost ten years old, that’s beyond fair, but Vita is less than four years old, and it deserves better than this considering it doesn’t cost you anything to show off it’s games in this post and various pieces of PS+ marketing, as with the PS4 ones. It’s especially baffling, considering most months include at least three PS4 games (via cross buy), so you’re actively hindering the look of PS+ to satisfy some bizarre marketing agenda.

    I hope you guys can take this feedback into account.

    I really don’t see ps4 getting triple a titles till at least the end of this year. I remember when they started ps plus it took at least a year and a half before your started getting top triple a games, just be patient and we’ll begin to get them.

    Wow what a great month for all systems. I really liked lemmings when it was first released on PS3 so I am pretty psyched to see Lemmings Go on Vita, I have heard really great things about Helldivers, and finally being a HUGE Persona 4 fan I can finally get around to playing Arena Ultimax. Thanks for such a great month!

    Good bunch of games. I also thought last month was good also. Why are people babies and think they are gonna get the best of the best at all times? That little bit a month your parents pay for you children does not justify AAA games every month for 3 consoles.

    Great line up of games! The best thing about them is they are all games I wouldn’t normally buy so it gives me a chance to expand my horizons.

    Nice games this month will defiantly add

    Helldivers,persona,grid all to my download list to download at some point. Now I need to clear some space on my hdd to play these. Just need to beat some of these older games.

    Welp this pretty much sealed the deal. I will not be renewing my PS Plus membership come March. I never use online play, unless I occasionally need help on Bloodborne. So I mean I only pay for PS Plus so I can have access to the free games they offer. Which none of them have interested me since Super Meat Boy, so I’m done. You’ve just lost a subscriber Sony. If I can play the Division single player, I’m definitely not coming back.

    Really wishing that I could get a REFUND on my PS Plus subscription! I am paid up well into mid-2017, and I am really starting to regret it. It has been months since I have seen a single, solitary, SOLID title that I have actually been excited to play. I never even downloaded the titles from January OR December… no sense wasting room on my harddrive for total garbage. #CancelPSPlus ( I know #’s don’t work on here, but hey, maybe I can start a movement, or something ;) )

    Best month in a while. January was not great but February seems to be a great option. Lemmings Vita, Persona 4 and Helldivers. I like the options.

    This month is “ok” I guess I’m somewhat of a fan of top down shooters but not really no no galaxy just seems weird to me I wish we could’ve gotten an FPS or RPG game for ps4
