Drama. Magic. Zombies. Magic zombies? Maybe not that last one, but we’ve got the other three in spades with our new free games coming to PlayStation Plus. So without further ado, here are your PS Plus games for November!

Leading the (zombie) pack is critically acclaimed The Walking Dead: Season Two on PS4, by the expert storytellers at Telltale Games. The second season follows Clementine in her struggle to survive a world torn apart by the undead menace. Guide her actions and influence the game’s outcome as nail-biting choices must be made to keep on living.

Also available this month is Magicka 2 on PS4. This spell-slinging action game empowers you and your friends with the elements to defeat your enemies (or sabotage those same friends). Hysterics may ensue, which might be a welcome break after all those zombies…

These PS4 games are free for PlayStation Plus members starting on the first Tuesday of November, and you can find the full list of PlayStation Plus games below. Enjoy!

    I would have been happy to get Walking Dead, but I bought it when it was $6 two months ago. Not interested in Magicka.

    I like the PS3 choices, if only because they aren’t more indies. ME2 isn’t the best choice though. I’d imagine the least owned ME game is the original, considering it came to PS3 late. That would have been a better choice. And ME3 had multiplayer, so offering that could boost the community.

    My only gripe is that you might as well make TWD S.2 available on the vita and ps3 along with the ps4 version.

    Dammit Sony! My HDs are bursting at the seams with all these free games you give away. I will definitely not complain about free games with our Canadian dollar doing so poorly.

    I’ve never expected to see Sony’s line up for PS+ fail for almost one year in a row, you guys are trying to force us to cry or what?

    You want us to be honest? Okay then, here you go: We are disappointed at you guys!!!
    Almost none of PS+ owners are happy with what you’re giving us as free games monthly.

    If you would listen to us or give us the chance again of voting for the next month games like before then, it might be? Or you guys planning to lose this to Xbox? because seriously, their monthly free games are a lot better than yours!!

      Have you seen November’s GWG selections, they are pretty ho-hum. The only noteworthy thing is that from November on, every GWG entry for the 360 will also be playable on the Xbox One. That’s a big deal right there.

      GWG for November may be lackluster, but overall GWG has been head and shoulders above PS+ for the past year.

    just when i thought you couldn’t possibly be any dumber, Sony, you go and do something like this… and TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!!

    last month i was one of the many subscribers who was quite disappointed with the PS+ offerings, and i posted on the blog to say as much. in fairness, i figured i owe Sony a post to say the opposite this month. while i already own ME2 and BG&E, they are *excellent* games a lot of folks should enjoy. TWDs2 should be super fun, magicka 2 will be great with my co-op buddies, and DFS looks right up my alley. invizimals might not be my cup o’ tea, but i’ll certainly give it a shot.

    very impressed with the offerings this month, Sony. awesome lineup, way to bounce back. :)

    Damn, I recently bought both seasons of the walking dead and also Beyond Good and Evil.
    I wish it was Mass Effect 1 instead as that one is only available as part of the trilogy

    PS Plus is such a piece of trash. The quality of the lineups has gotten so much worse since everyone had to start paying for it to play online. It’s the stupidest thing ever. Why should people have to pay to play online when part of the money that you pay for games already covers the costs of the servers? And to all the people that will deny my post, I assume you either work for Sony, or you are a 10 year old.

    Decent games for the PS3, so what the hell happened with PS4? Seriously, Season 2? Do you not understand the disconnect with offering the second season of something and not the first at any point in time for PS4??

    On the upside, at least you are offering a good looking tactical RPG game.

    And really, a retailer got their hands on the info before you procrastinators decided to announce this? You realize when that happens, it makes your excuses of “finalizing” details complete BS.

    I think I already own TWDTG: Season Two on Xbox 360 but I haven’t touched it yet, meanwhile I beat Season One on Vita and 400 Days and own them on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well. I wish there was a way to port my PS Vita decisions over to Season 2 on PS4, but hopefully there’s a way to reflect the main decisions from Season One at the beginning of Season Two?

    Honestly, I can’t complain much about PS Plus lineups anymore because over the years I’ve pretty much amassed practically every game that I was genuinely interested in playing over the last three generations of consoles (Sony and Microsoft both). Pretty much anything PS Plus offers up for free now I either own already or I probably will never play it. Still, occasionally a few times a year there’s a winner like TWDTG: S2 and those times generally add up to give me more than my money’s worth on Plus, so I’m happy. The lineup could always be better but I’ll just console myself until next month with something out of my ginormous backlog of free games from Plus or Live. Griping about subscription freebies from either service is really a first-world-problem.

    Happy that i will be playing Walking Dead Season 2, but t sucks that i already got Magicka. Now lets see if a few friends can get it for free and we do some gaming on that.

    I can’t complain about the games this month. If I didn’t like the quality of ME2, BG&E and TWD2 I wouldn’t have bought them already. Looking forward to Dragon Fin Soup.

    The problem with PS+ right now Is multi fold and blame can be spread around fairly liberally. The quality this year has dropped a bit, though I have enjoyed many titles I would otherwise not have bought. I think the main issue is that past years have had considerably higher quality so this year has looked worse.

    This is compounded by the sense of entitlement that has grown from users. Free games were not the primary push behind PS+ initially but a perk that grew from an initial tepid response to the plan. Now that it is required for online play on PS4, the incentive for Sony is not what it was. Likewise the indie stigma has alienated people who only see quality in AAA.

    There’s a lot of “fault” on both sides. Meanwhile some of us just appreciate our cloud-save and new games and let ragers rage. I have more games on my PSN account than I will ever finish.

      Agree 100% PS+ is a service for cloud saves on three platforms, and Online play on PS4. The games are and always have been a bonus. Yes before the PS4 the games given to you were of AAA quality, but that was because Indie wasn’t around the way it is now. With the PS4 library being approximately 80% indie , it makes sense that most if not all game on plus are Indie. AAA titles are also harder to get for plus whether they are inexpensive or not. Most AAA companies don’t like giving away games. Sony paid a lot for those games on PS3. That’s probably part of the reason why they made Online play part of the service for PS4. I know most of us were spoiled by the games received on PS3, but remember the games are just a bonus. Complain to much and see them disappear.

      No, the game haven’t “always been a bonus.” It was literally the main and only focus since it came out for almost 3 years straight. The games became a “bonus” recently when online was locked for PS4.

    Wow! So much negativity here about Walking dead season 2! If you missed the first one somehow (there really have been a lot of oputunities to play it free between IOS, computer, and consoles), then just watch a Let’s Play of it. It’s been played by most of the popular LPers and season 2 has a much better story (not that season 1 had a bad story but season 2 just blew it out of the water). Then to offer Magicka 2 for free on top of that, I think Sony has really been listening to people’s cries for “AAA” and more well known titles this month. Im also very curious to play Dragon Fin Soup. I love rouguelikes and the art style looks great. Though I don’t currently have a PS3, Beyond good and Evil is a Classic that! It is also a famous game that shows Anita Sarkeesian doesn’t know what she is talking about (not that her argument that this is a game that empowers women is wrong, but all of her examples were taken from the first 2 hours of play). Not that that info is relevant, but a hatred/understanding of how Anita Sarkeesian misrepresents the gaming industry to try to make herself look like a feminist that is fighting real issues, gives me more of an appreciation for this game. lol. Good month, Sony. It was long awaited.

    Finally nice to see some fun to play games on ps4! But of course disappointing that they gave season 2 without 1. Its on sale so I might buy it, but I will freak out if they offer it to “rent” in later line up :/ And would be much better to see even better titles, maybe for Christmas?

    Im becoming angry, this ones are not bad games i though… but, my suscription ends 3 months ago and sincerely for the first time i feel like i dont need to renew. In my first year of suscription can say i not received a AAA game, 1 or 2 exceptions.

    P.D. Injustice i had bought them in a offer for 8 dollars and Infamous Second Son is really good.

    I’m not going to say these games are “bad”, as I’m sure most of them are good, and I always download the ones that seem ok. But without disparaging anyone, it is pretty evident that most of the games in the past year are lower production games or indies. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe a little bit of a mix up would be nice, I remember for a little bit it was one AAA and one indie. Good chance that it might not be Sony’s fault I guess, could be less devs are interested in doing it. Honestly I’m just kind of doing it to play online now and the ICG are a plus, once every few months there will be a game that I like so I can’t complain. I’m not knocking Playstation or anything, but I have noticed I’m not nearly as interested in the ICG lately.

    Any game this month is taking a backseat anyway because Trails in The Sky SC came out yesterday and that will be my life for awhile!

      Remember when Bioshock Infinite came to Plus less than a year after it launched? I remember signing up for the service in the first place because I wanted to play Infamous 2, and it was free through Plus and $40 in the store. When it was just the PS3, there were so many amazing games, but now… meh. I look at this month’s offers and I’m contemplating whether or not I want to renew my subscription. I might come back, sure, but there’s nothing in Plus anymore that is screaming to me to stay. It used to be a lot different.

      Maybe if Xbox hadn’t had Black Flag for free on XB1 already… then maybe it would be different. But a broken Tell Tale game and some multiplayer wizard thing? I’ll pass. I have a data cap to think of and it’s not worth wasting data on this.

    After what felt like a serious decline in Plus games, the last few months, it’s good to see that something I want (Walking Dead: Season Two) and two games I recommend to friends (ME2 and Beyond Good & Evil) are going to be up. I had been wondering if the service was worth it, anymore, after the last two or three months of just indie games. I do wish you’d put up Guilty Gear Xrd sometime soon, like Japan did.

    Very bad games that come to the lineup this month and I don’t like the whole delay of letting us know about the games. We should know what games will be coming to plus a week before the release date. The only game I am looking forward to play is Twd Season 2 and I already beat it on my 360. Just want to increase my trophy level all the other games are nothing to look forward to.

    When can we get games like beyond two souls or other higher rated games that are more recent and worth playing??????

    I will keep saying this, but I told you so.
    You can’t give a decent deal that people are genuinely happy with (PS Plus), and then cut out a majority of it.

    I will say that the months lineup isn’t horrible, but still glad I switched.

    I had hope for you Sony, I really did.
    Of course, he who dies with the most toys, still dies.

    So in the end, I guess it is about he, who tried to do good, and he, who decided to do something else.
    Sorry, but those of us without power only have our voices.

    Very disappointed to see Beyond Good & Evil is in the list. That game has been on sale in the $2 – $5 range multiple times, and anyone who wanted to play it probably already has it. Those who don’t have it, likely don’t want it, like myself. I tried the demo, and didn’t care for it at all.
    Mass Effect 2 is a fine addition, for those who don’t have it. I already bought it though, so it doesn’t help me.
    It looks like Dragon Fin Soup is the only benefit for most PS3 owners this month, here’s hoping its a good one.

    lol every month new complaints… this is actually a decent lineup
    magicka 2, walking dead season 2 (easy as hell platinum), and mass effect 2 (wich if you dont own already you are living under a rock and finaly get it)

    these are FREE games… you pay MAX 10$ a month for ps plus… most of us pay less then 5$ a month… the rest 6$ a month

    these games are NOT meant to cover your measly costs… they are just a bonus… i personally have over 80 ps + games now in my collection… do i like them all? hell no.. was it worth aprox 120$ … yeah for sure

    Thank you guys for a fantastic line-up! I’m super excited for almost all of these. Never had the chance to try Invizimals since I didn’t buy my PSP until after I bought my Vita (I was late to the game). Dragon Fin Soup looks absolutely amazing, and I hadn’t even heard of it until today. Thanks for adding to my backlog. :P

    Incredibly sweet games! Holy god, I was expecting a disappointment based on the last 3 months, so maybe my expectations were far too low and that’s why I think of these games as treasures and the jackpot. If that was your plan, PS, to lower expectations and then bring in decent games to leave mouths open, then good job.

    Great line up loved season 1 of the walking dead and havent had an oppurtunity to play season 2 so this is of great convince to me

    My fear that that Sony is getting so much negative press from all the comments that they are going to stop giving out free games and charge us $60 per year just for online multiplayer. I’m like a lot of those commenting , in that I’m lucky to find one of the free ps plus games each month that appeals to me or that i dont already own. But 1 game is better than nothing. Whenever i feel like complaining ’bout the free games offerred i remind myself that PS PLUS is only about 15 cents per day.

    Good selection this month for me at least! I had wanted to try Magicka 2, and I never got around to S2 of Walking Dead. Also, I never got around to Beyond Good and Evil before, so I’m very interested in it!

    Dragon Fin Soup being a PS Plus game at launch is awesome. I’m really interested in this game after seeing the other post on it!

    Side note, it’s kind of hilarious how so many people whine about not getting AAA games every month and then you drop Mass Effect 2 in there and the same people are moaning about how “everyone has played it already!” Psst… that’s the whole problem with asking for AAA games on these services right there!

    It always amazes me when there are complaints for something free. Am I happy enough with the lineup, I already own 2 of the 6 being offered, but that’s what happens when you start to rack up an extensive library of games. Moreover, the $4.17 I payed for this months PS+ subscription is well worth the price of the other 4 I do not have. Thanks Sony!
