PS Plus: Free Games for October 2015

One brutally difficult platformer, one heart-warming, coming-of-age story. This month’s PS Plus lineup has a great mix of flavors and you’ve come to the right place for the details! Starting on the first Tuesday of the month, a new lineup of free games comes to PlayStation Plus members, including Super Meat Boy and Broken Age on PS4.

Super Meat Boy will challenge even the most devoted platforming players with teeth-grinding levels, insane obstacles, horrible traps, and smiling chunks of meat. Yum! Can you stand against the gory onslaught of near-impossible tasks in Super Meat Boy? You’ll find out soon enough…

Become a PlayStation Plus member

If that’s a little too intense, why not point and click at things, instead? Broken Age is joining the PS Plus lineup, too! In it, guide two teenagers through strangely similar circumstances but on two different worlds. With a gorgeous soundtrack and award-winning cast, Broken Age is perfect for gamers that grew up with the adventure genre. Or people that just want to hear some jokes. Jokes are always good.

Last thing! Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition will no longer be available as a free download for Plus members starting on October 6th, 2015. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, be sure to go to PlayStation Store now before October 6th!

Broken Age looks fairly interesting. Maybe Kickbeat. I have Kung Fu Rabbit on Wii U. I guess for $5 this month, it’s okay. Nothing to write home about

I’d really like to see some bigger games on that list. Even HD re-releases are fine. XBO got Tomb Raider Definitive last month so stuff like DMC4 HD or Diablo 3, GTA5, GOW3 HD, etc. would be fine.

Well I guess I was the only one excited for Super Meat Boy. I loved that game on all previous platforms. I’m excited to play it on PS4.

Hmmm, Ok, so for people complaining basically you are paying $4,1 a month and you get free games every month (indies, aaa what ever), most of these indie titles are $5 to $10 each, so i think paying for the service give you a good value. But i understand why people are angry, ps3 online gaming was free and broken, now you have to pay, and the online service is still broken. I think Sony should fix the psn experience for good, they should fix the issue with low download speeds. Its ok to charge for this service, but the service should work properly. I don´t even care for the free games, i buy the games i like on release, but definitely Sony, you need to fix the issues with psn and download speeds. Now there is no excuse for not fixing it.

really? REALLY? you’re giving us 5 year old indie titles that can be bought in bundles for less than a dollar and started as flash games out as PS+ games now? I thought you couldn’t do worse than last month. not to mention Broken Game… I mean Broken Age. the game that Tim “I hate gamers” Schafer couldn’t be bothered to actually finish because he was siphoning kickstarter money elsewhere (like his own pockets) and hasn’t made a good game in over a decade.

thank god I don’t play games online because I know I’m not renewing my PS+ when it expires next month. I really wish there was a real way to give feedback about this garbage.

I don’t have a lot of money since I lost my job and my health a short while after I got my PS4 and now I feel like PS+ is spitting in my face every month.

Rubbish once again, $50 a year for multiplayer, some rubbish cloud storage (MS gives 1 Tb with Office for less) and crappy indie games (not super meat boy, this one saved the month). This is not worth, should lower the price or give better games, not a single AAA game for PS4 since I bought it a few months ago

Look Sony, I’ll tell it to you straight. 1 AAA title I will ACTUALLY PLAY is >>>>>>>>> 50 Indie games, of which I might play one of them through, and for the rest MAYBE open them and fool around a bit to get the gist. I’m sure there’s a million f***ers out there who would agree with me, so ffs start putting some weight into these releases or the hell with PSN and the hell with multiplayer blackmail for 50$ a year.

For every one telling people not to complain shut up because we have the right to speak if we think Sony is providing which it hasn’t recently we have been getting cheap ass indie games so Sony a multi billion dollar company can give us some 2 dollar crap game some person made in they basement that’s bs and you all know it for Xbox over there giving out quality games and we over here getting games like grow home like for real after my year is up I’m switching to Xbox which is bad to say since I’ve been a customer since PlayStation before this company decided oh we can save by screwing our supporters and loyal customers

If I hadn’t already bought KickBeat, I could be bummed later rather than so long ago. But both PS4 highlights are also on Vita!! With that snappy D-pad, Meat Boy will control all the better for me, and I may finally drag myself to play Broken Age! Unmechanical is another holdover I have from Steam and never booted up, and Chariot being on PS3 means I don’t have to shell out for Sony’s latest to get some co-op on (not that anyone in this house will…).

Not a blockbuster month, but for this guy, It’s good. Looking forward to it!

  We all have jobs, hence why we pay for plus, so we can actually play online. AAA games don’t mean $60 price point. It means quality games that are quality. I was super excited to download almost every ps3 plus game back on the day, like dues ex, BioShock and BioShock infinity, brothers, etc. Learn what AAA games are newb

If you guys truly want your voices heard in this, don’t renew your subscription. This is obviously a calculated move. They know we, the gamers that get ps plus primarily for the instant game collection, are unhappy, but if they don’t invest in the igc and we just complain, they’ll still have a heavy influx of new subscribers because of the requirement for multiplayer. I personally don’t care about multiplayer at all so it’s an easy choice for me. I’m not renewing.

I think everyone complaining needs to chillax ive been ps plus for three years and every time we get boo boo games for a couple months it usually means sony is getting ready to release a monster soon so jus sit back enjoy the indies till we get our AAA its not like your breakin the bank at $50 a year anyway and if if u are then what are you doin playin games get a job and stop bein ungrateful its not like anyone else is givin stuff away these days

Like meek mill I just want to know why people don’t realize ps plus started as a way to give free good games and did until the ps4 came out yet if we something about it we are entitled and complain too much again like meek mill I’m getting killed back to back by these Indies I try to play them I tried I got charged up for rocket league but that’s the only game so far every other game has been trash and no ps fan boy who think I need a triple a title for fun I really don’t but I still am waiting for that next-generation experience like where it at though

They’re pushing “Super Meat Boy” as the big game this month? That’s a game that’s sold for literally ONE DOLLAR on PC sales. Lowest price on Steam was $1.49, and IIRC it was available for a single dollar on a humble bundle before.

Seems we had a lot better games last year and the years before on Plus. I renwed a month back even though I had a few months to go. Caught a sale and said “How can I pass up a sale?” The games have been lacking for a while now in my opinion. I’m not expecting the latest and greatest every month but considering XBOX got the last Tomb Raider (for example) one would like something more competitive from Sony. I know when it comes to the Vita the library is much smaller than the PS3 for games (Sony, get back to making AAA games on the Vita already!) and the PS4 is relatively new but still: We all would like something to “Wow!” us every first Tuesday of the month. Even if its just one or two Wow! games with indies mixed in for fun.

I understand the effort to support indie but Sony could at least reward ps4 supporters with a AAA title especially after all the success it had got. One indie and one bigger title each month is not too much to ask for. Apart from Rocket League, the offering for ps4 has been really poor from Sony for the past few months. It’s inevitable that consumers will compare to what Xbox has to offer which are so much better. Disappointed with you, Sony.

Xbox is giving som A or AAA games and you keep pushing lots of indie and sometimes, very old indie games, if it wasn’t for online play on PS4, I’ll probably wouldn’t renew my PS Plus signature.

I know that you have given Payday 2 on PS3, not considering that it’s almost unplayable on PS3, Xbox live has given it for free on XOne and so many other AAA games, try to keep up, or you gonna start loosing players.

Not that I’ll go to xbox, but I may consider on going back to PC, and I know, that I’m not the only one with this feeling.

I have been a plus member since launch. This is my last time! These dollar store quality games aren’t worth my money, and yes I pay for my plus subscription! But even if I lived in my mom’s basement, and she paid for my plus subscription, she would be embarrassed by these titles! You should be ashamed Sony!

I remember way back when ps plus started. And since it started I have been a member almost non stop. Im getting dissapointed from the selection of free games since I got my ps4. The games have well,sucked. And ps3 has got some realy good ones. I wonder why?You have a answer?

Honesty haven’t been excited about a ps+ free game release in a very long time on ps3 or ps4. Might really cancel my subscription. Last game that I was excited about was the Infamous First Light game. How many months ago was that? That was the last ps+ free game I bothered downloading. No interest in indie games, and I don’t expect AAA titles from the ps4 since it’s library of AAA titles is so small but in all this time I did expect more AAA title on ps+ for the ps3.

Another indie games? ahh… well, no point on saying anything since it doesnt effect. Playstation rather will spend more money on naming theater on Times Square for advertisement to get more players that eventually will be dissapointed then doing something good for us. I am looking forward to line ups, but this kind a games i will downlaod play maybe 1-5 lvl or 5-10 min and forget about them. really tired of seeing and playing games that i could play on my PC. For, i bought Ps4 to play games that my PC cant handle. Well at least i have games that i bought myself that i can enjoy. Will really think on changing console when my subscription runs out and DOT. more indie titles for the ps4, i am sure that most people have these games on other devices and have already played through them. it’s money for old rope again from $ony, the vote to play seems a con as most people say they want at least one AAA title for the PS4 free games, i’m surprised this does not show on the vote list and i’m pretty certain users did not have broken age at the front of their minds when making the votes, but we have no proof of this. microsoft are giving away AAA titles to their users which have XBLA gold, and their platform has been around just as long as the PS4 but they don’t make any excuses for releasing free AAA titles. even something like KNACK or KILLZONE would be a nice givaway.
