Hey PlayStation Nation – as you all know, we love to hear your feedback and work to bring those asks, demands and needs to life wherever possible. With that in mind, I’m thrilled to announce a new PlayStation Plus promotion that literally puts the choice in your hands – Vote to Play. This promotion enables PlayStation Plus members to vote on one of several PlayStation 4 games for the upcoming month’s Instant Game Collection.

The game with the most votes will automatically be included in our future free game lineup for PlayStation Plus. If your pick didn’t make the lineup, don’t worry. In the first promotion, PlayStation Plus members can get the runner ups at a discount. We love to listen to our fans – and we’re super excited to launch this promotion.

We’ll have more details for you soon on when voting begins, what titles will be up for voting, and how you can cast your vote.

    Please make it a game that i don’t already own on PC… Liker an exclusive like Knack, or The Order. Tired of most of the games coming to PS+ being games i got on PC for cheap.

    This is cool and all, but I’d still like the ability to purchase games we’ve received free for plus. As it stands now, I’m kinda tempted to NOT vote for games I want in hopes they become runner-ups and get a discount.

    Good idea but if non ps+ members can vote it’s a waste due to trolls for it to work you should require the voters to be signed on send emails to only ps+plus users..etc.. put it this way sony needs to act like a country and ps.plus is being a citizen so if u want your vote being counted make sure your a plus user

    It doesn’t really change anything. You’ll get to choose between a few crap indie games. Still not very likely to have any AAA games in the selection.

    I’m From Egypt and i had a lot of fun playing with my 3 generations playstations with you sony
    and every day i see you care more about us i dont get when people being jerk for your line up that i always find it great if not for ps4 then for ps3 and if not for ps3 then for ps4 and now you even try to be there for who didnt happy for anything even if it was great so from me and a lot like me

    Never really understood why people complain about what free games we get. I pay for plus to be able to play online with my friends. Servers aren’t free to run. Even if I only end up liking one of the games a month it still covers the $4.17 I paid. Indies might not be the reason you bought the PS4 but they are still fun to play and they could just give us nothing every month.

    This is a great idea. I’m glad to hear you are allowing Plus members to have a voice in the free game decision. Choices are always good in my book and it’s nice to feel like Playstation is actually listening to it’s fans.

    People always seem to complain about everything… When Sony chooses the games they are able to work out, people complain. When they give gamers the choice to pick a game they can provide for PS+, people complain. PS+ has been out for PS3 when the PS3 already had a large game catalog to choose from. The PS4 is how old? If people think they are capable of managing money and work out deals they just should apply at Sony Nd get people complaining at them XD

    Any choice is better than having no choice. I also have been perfectly happy with the quality of “free” games since the beginning of my membership.

    PS Plus is a great deal!

    would rather sony just stop delaying announcements to what is coming next month…..this sounds like something that will slow that down…they seem like there constantly a week behind xbox and then still come with weaker games………..would think after the Awful E3 they would try to out do xbox right now….as for indie games i love retro and indie games but most of the ones that come out for ps4 are pretty weak and dont feel like a full game….they seem to be flash based and sub vita level…games like shovel knight feel solid compared to others,bastion is almost good…..but many are really really bad…..even the ones that look good often are not like this abyss game thats on sale which used unreal engine and looks like cool action rpg buy atlus but it is pretty ******…like games on ps1 were better……..

    The PlayStation store app on the PS3 is unnecessarily over bloated. I understand the desire to have a uniformed experience across platforms, but the PS3 clearly cannot handle the current format. When It’s not crashing or locking up the system, It’s too damn slow to use with any efficiency. If your trying to make the experience more user-friendly, you’ve failed. If you’re objective is to forcefully crash & corrupt users PS3’s in order to inflate PS4 sales, than you’re well on your way to achieving success.

    It’s sad that the PS3’s PlayStation store functioned more efficiently 5 years ago than it does today.

    How about lets have the legendary doom 1 or doom 2 for ps plus free game of the month i really do feel like alot of people miss that game and for the people who would like to get the feel of a real fps game is like doom 1 and or doom 2 would be perfect for gane of the month especially more doom 2 because of the harder levels and you get to have the double barrel shotgun I hope alot of people vote for this because doom 2 is a cery enjoyable game with hours of fun gameplay

    Personally I would like to see fallout 3 on ps4 free games for august withe the release of fallout 4 in November it would be sure to have a lot of downloads even if it was a paid game would love to play it on the ps4 please!

    Seems like a good idea if you are all out of ideas for what the PS+ game should be.

    Plus we know it’s hard picking between this indie title or that one for release since there are over 200 now & only a few good ones.

    I vote for not being able to vote. If you are a serious Company, the vote would be indie game?, AAA game? (No matter it’s release date)

    Knack would probably be a start in the right direction.
