PS Plus: Free Games for June 2015

Looking for the PS Plus lineup? Well, you’ve come to the right place, friends. Please take off your shoes and stay awhile…

This month, the lineup includes four games you can play on PS4. And we’re starting off big with Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on PS4. The latest chapter in the renowned Metal Gear series sends Big Boss into a high-security Cuban military base on a daring rescue mission. Use new stealth techniques along with Snake’s iconic repertoire to infiltrate the base (and perhaps mess around with enemy soldiers along the way).

Also on PS4 is Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition, a turn-based strategy game with a twist: your army is undead! Undead samurai, to be exact. Build up your forces and conquer all to reclaim your honor!

As mentioned above, both PS Vita games in the lineup are also available on PS4. That’s right, you can play Super Exploding Zoo and Futuridium EP Deluxe on PS Vita and PS4. And rounding out our list is Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Cloudberry Kingdom on PS3.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4)

Free for PS Plus members
A visually stunning chapter in a long-running, deeply complex series. This nail-biting mission onto a Cuban military base follows Snake as he attempts to rescue Paz from enemy imprisonment.

Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition (PS4)

Free for PS Plus members
This turn-based strategy game turned a lot of undead heads with its story of a Samurai Afterlife. Build an army of the undead, battle your opponents, and regain your honor.

Super Exploding Zoo (PS Vita | PS4)

Free for PS Plus members
Players must defend all the precious animal eggs in the zoo from evil aliens who want to eat said eggs. How do you defend these tasty treats? With a herd of explosive animals, obviously.

Futuridium EP Deluxe (PS Vita | PS4)

Free for PS Plus members
A psychedelic, retro-inspired shooter with crazy action, puzzle elements, and a bumping electronic soundtrack. May or may not induce random dance parties.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PS3)

Free for PS Plus members
This first-person shooter celebrates the wild west in a big, bloody way. Take down anyone unlucky enough to cross bounty hunter Silas Greaves.

Cloudberry Kingdom (PS3)

Free for PS Plus members
The dev team behind this insane 2D platformer spent 2 years building an AI that could build a near-infinite number of levels for any difficulty. It looks totally bananacakes. Good luck with that!

Cringe Metal gear solid was $8 not a month ago during the golden week sale and I got it then. Sucks for me I guess…. Shall approach th e other games with an open mind

And to think I bought the PS+ 1 year subscription. Guess I’m along for the ride… Really not cool that MGS V was on sale one month and free the next. Golden week sale $8 then June FREE! I guess I was one of the few who bought it on sale? Wish someone could explain that to me. Why, Ryan, Whyyyyy!!!!

Great line-up for PS4 with MGS. But man whata dissapointment for PS Vita, give it some awesome RPG like HDN Re1 or something. This month they get what PS4 get. Poor PSVita, i am still believe they can be q good handled not just for PS4 remote play.

Even if you don’t own a PS4, access “Ground Zeroes” from the website store. Then, when you buy a PS4, you can download it from your history.

  People is stupid… only for getting a console since in your pc you could play unlimited free games or already for free since steam sell the games with looww prices, not like sony who sells expensive games, after all no everyone can buy everymonth and 80 euros game… but he can buy an 3 euros game (only on steam).

Glad I finally get to try Ground Zeroes… I heard it was very short so never go around to buying it even tho I love the MGS series, bummer it’s no longer an exclusive. Good PS+ month though!

Resident evil 6
Mortal Kombat for PS3

And the PS4 Octodad

I guess I will be getting only 3 games this month.

Super exploding zoo? Really, is that all you could scrounge out of the gutter for the Vita this month? The only good game this month is more like a paid demo. Unsubbed until you start putting out real content instead of this filler.

…I’ve seen flash games more impressive than this months vita games. And those are always free.

If this continues next month, I do not think I will be renewing my subscription. Just because nobody wants to buy these “cellphone” games on console doesn’t mean they should take up a slot on our plus games.

Is anyone else upset by the fact that the PS store menu doesn’t show you half of what you can get each month? Why do I have to search online for the full list of games, and then enter them into the search in the store to find them? Why aren’t they all listed under the “Free Games” tab under the PS+ section in the store? Why do I click to that tab to only be given the choices of buying more PS+? Poorly done Sony. POORLY done.

I understand the gripe with people buying a discounted game for it to be free a month later, although purchasing it at discount means you own the game regardless of the subscription, so there is benefit. This subscription however easily provides over 10 times the price of admission, worth it in my opinion.
Disappointed MGS:GZ isn’t cross buy, as a PS3 owner, I was upset that I’m not able to enjoy and experience it like my fellow PS4 users are.
However, MGS:GZ on multiple accounts ISNT a 1 hour story, its probably 1+ hours for those that strictly play a game to beat a game.
For those that want to experience all that the title has to offer, and to steep themselves in the lore, easter eggs, stunning visuals, genre defining game play and philosophical nature of the series for the intellectually curious, this franchise and Kojima himself is known for, I would imagine the game would have at least 15+ hours of content, and people should remember, Metal Gear doesnt outshine other franchises because of quantity, its due to sheer quality.

Seems like their is one decent game this month. but from comments its just a demo. but i don’t have a ps4 anyhow so no matter. And to folks who say ungrateful. we pay to get these “free games” to rent until we are no longer paying.

  Expensive renting games, but **** games… no good games, i played callofjuarez and since yakuza 3 i haven’t seen any good game worth to waste my time playing xd, Get a gaming pc you will never touch again any console, unless you want to play ps4 exclusive games, after all ps3 is already DEAD.

I would like to see Phantasy star universe in the PlayStation store. had them for the PS2 would really love to play them again. forget the exact name of Universe 2, but would love to see it in the store. 2nd one i liked because you didn’t have to be Ethan to play story mode.

Hmm…a little late to post, but I had GZ for ps3 accidentally bought it for ps3, but glad to try it out on ps4…it’s much better graphics. Anyway, I am worried about something. How do you hold someone up and then finish off the action like telling them to get down. I find that I use my left index finger for L2 and then I got no way to press L1 easily except to move it off L2 to L1 and middle finger to L2. I don’t know why it is set up that way. I just think it’s stupid. I guess I can always remap, but I really don’t want to have to. I’m thinking that this is going to be a problem when I get phantom pain. Is anyone having this issue?

Having played every single game on PS Plus this month, I can honestly say…. This is the worst set of games I’ve ever seen out of Playstation. Every single one of them isn’t worth the space they take up on a hard drive. Why is it that you feel compelled to subject such a fine piece of hardware to so many awful Unity engine games? Do you hate this? Are your fans worth nothing to you? Are you just that disrespectful?

I think the answer is obvious.

OMG. I really get excited about the MGS, since i wanted to try out that series a while, but come OON, it’s f.ing a DEMO. 1 level, and after that the credits list is longer then the demo itself.. What a deception.. (Not like this would surprise me from Sony..)

When I attempt to download the free Call Of Juarez game on my PS3, the download file and the resulting install file says “Call Of Juarez Gunslinger Demo.” I am a PS+ subscriber, so how am only getting the demo, or is this just a glitch, and it is still actually the full game?

I have heard that Driveclub is now free. So next months games are sure to be indies, not that I complain, but….

Guys. I just got a very scary thought (to those who will complain about indies on Ps4 and systems). Dricveclub Ps Plus Edition has been released today, and that isn’t part of July’s games, but since it took Sony alot of money to do so and everything, we might be promised indies for sure now next month and maybe a few other months, and maybe not only that, but maybe Sony might cut back on triple A support on Ps Plus to compensate.

Just bringing this up in case anyone worries. Now I like the games this month, but i reallly like that shooter one, not Metal Gear, the arcadely like game.
