UPDATE: Since we’ve received a lot of comments asking which movie theaters will be participating, we’ve added the list to the bottom of this post. As a reminder, tickets will be made available at http://playstation.com/e3experience tomorrow (Wednesday, May 27th) at 9:00am PT.
Whenever I interact with the PlayStation community I’m always struck by their passion and excitement for gaming. I saw this firsthand at E3 2014, when I teamed up with PlayStation and Fathom Events to bring the E3 Press Conference live to over 10,000 fans around the country as part of the PlayStation E3 Experience in movie theaters. It was amazing to see fans line up all across America to experience the news and announcements live with others in the community.
This year I’m happy to announce that the PlayStation E3 Experience will return on Monday, June 15. Due to the quick sell-outs in 2014, we will be staging it in significantly more theaters — and yes, it will still be free. Last year tickets in most markets sold out in 15 minutes or less, so for 2015 we are increasing the number of theaters by more than 150%, with at least one theater in every state across the US — including Hawaii and Alaska — plus 3 cities in Canada.

You and fellow members of the PlayStation community will get to see the full PlayStation E3 press conference in HD on the big screen, plus there are special bonuses for those who come out to the theater experience. I’ll be hosting an exclusive 30-minute in-theater post show with extended footage and interviews with developers, and everyone who attends will take home a PlayStation surprise, which will consist of PlayStation goods and digital codes we can’t disclose yet. (Last year attendees received early access to the Destiny Alpha and Battlefield: Hardline beta, along with a great poster and VIP laminate).
To make it fair to everyone in the community, this year we are giving you advance notice of ticket sales. Free tickets will be made available on Wednesday, May 27 starting at 9:00 a.m. PT at playstation.com/e3experience. Eighty percent of theater capacity will be reserved for ticket holders, with 20% of the theater held for those on the wait list, who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. We saw the big lines last year and want to make sure that everyone has a fair chance to be in the theater.
The PlayStation.Blog guys also tell me that their big PlayStation LiveCast show will be back again in a big way, kicking off with the PlayStation Press Conference on June 15th, starting at 5:45 p.m. Pacific Time. They’ll have plenty of game demos, new trailers, and developer interviews over the next three days – and you’ll be able to watch on your PS4 or PS3 using the Live Events Viewer app, too. Stay tuned for more details.

I’m pissed! I was able tor register, but after completing the registration it said “Bad Request” then I got through again to the event grid and it was sold out. This was for Pittsburgh.
Ok, strange, I kept trying and got in. Now waiting to see if I actually get my email. I did print my registration page. Admin will this suffice as my ticket?
Had two tickets to the Toronto show and it crashed twice and I lost them! Next year please get a proper server to handle this.
Same here. I got a timer that says, “Ticket reserved for 30:00” while filling out information and then when I submit, well within the time limit, it errors and sells out. When something says that it is reserved for you I expect them to honor it.
And now it’s Sold Out! Waited for 50 mins and I only got on the waiting list. Thanks, Sony. Really.
Says sold out. Couldn’t even load the page ever so wow thanks. Try to do the wait list thing for me and a buddy. Canadian wait list doesn’t let me put in my postal code or choose my province, have to make up some American one even though I’m on the Canadian site. Click join wait list. 5 Minutes later it times out, sends me back to the ticket registering page and shows its not sold out. Click register 5 minutes later it says its sold out again…I’m done.
I also tried for the past 50 minutes, I had real tickets and got an error at last step. I did finally get on a wait list, but I am sure that doesn’t mean anything. What a waste, they should have been more prepared with a better working site.
Yeah, i also got a page with the 30 min Ticket Reserve. Entered my info and hit the button and it gave me a server error.
Yea been on the registration part twice now and crashed both times.
LOL…I can’t even get on the wait list with all these errors. Eventgrid SUCKS.
Finally registered. That was more painful and time consuming than it should have been…
So far this has been a great “playstation experience” /s
There’s 4 of us here at my job that all are big PS players. I’m the one that notified everyone to log on to the registration page at 11:00 CST today. So far, everyone else has gotten their tickets but me. I’m gonna be supremely pissed off if mine don’t go through.
just got my confirmation email :blessed:
Yonge & Dundas is not sold out!
This is actually screwed up. I’ve been waiting for 50 minutes trying to get a ticket for the Montreal theatre and couldn’t get on the site, and then when I COULD get on its sold out. Screw this man, screw this.
And as I enter that last comment, I FINALLY get confirmation. Only took 53 minutes, but I got it! See you all in Brooklyn Center, MN =D
has anybody received confirmation emails ?
Got tickets for Nashville, just waiting for the confirmation e-mail!
Been trying since noon on two browsers,a iPad and my phone and got a message when I tried to register :-/
Almost an hour and now just a waiting list? Ridiculous! And I was looking forward to this year’s event to see what goodies they’re going to give out :-( Not cool eventgrid and not cool Sony
It says a confirmation email has been sent to me. However, I didn’t get it. I also registered on the waiting list, because it ****ed up so many times. I was able to register off the waiting list in a different browser. Does anyone know what will happen if you register so many times?
on registering page and its not working
The Theater I wanted sold out but was able to get one ticket to another near by. This has been one crazy mess.
Yeah…when it says “reserved for you”, it really sucks when their server kicks you out and allows other people to get those tickets.
I am madder than big boss *wipes ashes, blood, and Geoff Keighley’s doritos all over his face* lol..you’d have to have seen the GIF someone made of BIG BOSS with doritos… :P
Not sure if SONY could make this up to anyone, but oh well, the tickets were free. Just another reminder of how important good servers are…
Cheers Iamontjoker614; still waiting on mine though.
@ JoseR93: A few others seem to have gotten their confirmation, I’m still waiting on mine. But I’ve still got the confirmation page open, so I can yell at them if I get screwed over somehow.
OK Y’all …. I tried for EVER to register through the PC…. it keeps hanging, however, i was actually able to not only load the registration form and fill it out, but was ALSO able to get a confirmation number.
Who’s going to Grand Rapids on the 15th… This Bunny (and her husband… the one who got her hooked into the PS to begin with). Looks like a date day! E3 .. here… we…come! :D
Sold out in 20 mins took 20 mins for it to load all bad sony!!! Damn you yoshida haha
Playstation I know you’re reading these posts. Nothing to say? I see it on my Blink feed in a few minutes.
Waiting for email…This has been extremely painful.
i am so mad got to the page with get tickets for theatre i want and it stalls wow totally messed up sony thanks
crashed twice now rrrrr on this for 3 hours waiting
Looks like the wrong theater is listed for Chicago, the actual registration page has City North 14 instead of the River East 21. (Which is a shame.)
#366 keep refreshing…I JUST got through with 2 tickets in Montreal. Don’t give up
The Pittsburgh theater for the event is not the one listed on this page.
WOOT I got my ticket!!!! Now to just wait for the E-mail…. Everything went through and I printed it out, they can’t say anything to me when I go!
Oh… grrr … I meant to put in there, I had to use my phone’s browser to reg. Go fig! So much for the PC version. :p
haha I finally managed to sign up for waiting list and I have no email confirmation great ill watch it from home on either my 2 ps4s or 2 ps3 or 2 vitas or 2 pstv for the players!
I still cannot see a “get tickets” link for the Canada page. Seriously whats happening wrong?
Got one for Boston! Thanks #344 too for suggesting trying for only 1 ticket instead of 2. Worked for me! Now waiting for the confirmation email…
I’m waiting on two e-mails for comformation
so, for pittsburgh eventgrid has mcknight road listed, but on the blog its Robinson.
I believe the theater on mcknight road closed, so will registering for that one get us tickets for robinson?
Anyone who submitted their contact info within the “Reserved” time limit but got an error should be given a ticket. This is an error at their end. I hope they will honor it and open up extra theaters to keep their word.
Hey Godessbunny, I just secured 3 tickets for me, my Girlfriend and best bud for Grand Rapids. I guess I’ll see you there!
Come – experience the Playstation Experience – the experience of things going down and crashing. The experience of reserved tickets that are not in fact reserved due to faulty web programming. (A Lack of Programming) Greatness Awaits.
PlayStation.Blog staff, I registered before for Pittsburgh, but after the process it said “Bad Request” with the EventGrid page loaded. I then registered on a different browser, but I was part of the wait list. Also, I had another browser opened and I was registering with a ticket reserved. I completed that registration and it okay’d me telling me a confirmation was sent to my email address. I have yet to received the e-mail. I would rather have the reservation than to be placed on the waiting list. Please respond!
Yes! Finally got through after 57 minutes and the third time indeed was the charm. *happy dance*
Just want to say it amazing you guys are setting this free event up for us Playstation fans, however its cruddy how due to influx of a billion people that i got timed out at the last step.
I was on the register page had my two tickets picked, clicked register, and then infinite load screen brought me to the same page, but all sold out. And the wait list doesn’t even work for Canada. It does not give you the option for postal code or province. Such a tease. I know its a free deal, but man I wasted time because the Canadian tickets were on a different page than the American. It loaded so slow that I couldn’t see the Canada link at the bottom of the page.
I’ll try for the in person method on the 15th, but what i want to know is when exactly they will go on sale? As soon as the theaters open? line up and just before the event they let in 50 people? how is it going to work for us unfortunates who did not manage to register our ticket?
Thanks, keep up the good work.
P.S. If anyone is going to the Montreal one and got an extra ticket Hit me up on PSN – DeputyCF
For those still trying: I had the best luck with internet explorer.
Did Sony ever update their site, or was everyone just going directly to EventGrid?
And I’ve been trying to get tickets for the Vancouver show and have seen nothing but Quantity: Ended. Does it change to ‘Sold Out’ for some people?
