Still can’t connect my PS 4 i have rebooted it 3 times now and still nothing
This is outrageous, as soon as I paid for Playstation plus the servers go down, but apparently the servers are back up not the case for me it states “the connection to the server has been terminated” please help I just want to play park mode on 2K15 any help would be highly worshiped
The PSN is Still down for me. The worst part about it is that now my Far Cry 4 game file says that it’s corrupted and cannot be accessed. I was 30 hours of gameplay into the game and had a good 60+ percent complete. Please tell me that I don’t have to start over. There had better be a way to recover my file or I’m done with the game. Not doing all that again…

Well I don’t know what everyone else is experiencing but my PS4 still wont connect to online. Are there any others who still have this issue?

The reason why I have to ask that is because the blog here says it is “online” which could mean that they are done working on the problem.
As for the idea of compensation…
One game company. They had horrible policies in everything except for compensation. The game was often down-sometimes for days. However, even 3 days of downtime (long for a MMO) was often met by a free 2-4 weeks of free ‘paid service’ for anyone with even a minute of service during the downtime. Once, they even gave free ‘paid service’ anyone with an account.
Did they have to? Were the players owed it? A mixed answer. The players were not owed that much extra. 3 days != 30 days. Yet, considering people who may have set time aside, who may not be able to play after, it was fairly proper. 3 days, assuming a long weekend, is 3 playing days. A work schedule is 6 days a week. That means the equivalent would be 3 weeks or 21 days. They did this mostly to show goodwill and for public relations.
Do I expect Sony to do the same? No. However, it would be nice if Sony considered at least making it so that full days down don’t count against the PS+ service time.
And I will say again, not everyone can connect, even with the MTU changing.
(My MTU has been changed for a while since it helps with netcode issues in some games).
That being said, Sony should have said “Offline, but some people may be able to connect” rather than “Online.”
Hi I still cannot access my account on the PS4 I have done everything i even initialise it and still when i try to log in it keep saying

I am at a loss here i found out some have access and some don’t, could some tell me how to fix this or who to can i email for some help for i have tried eveything
You pretty much have three categories of people for connecting:
Can connect, Can connect with network modifications (changing the MTU to 1400/1450/1473/1472), Can’t connect even with modifications.
Within those that can connect, you have two sets of categorization:
First set: Can connect right away, Needs to try to connect over and over again until it works.
Second set: Can connect with all devices, can connect with some devices, can only connect with browser and/or PS App.
Then for services for each device that can connect, you have:
Can connect to all services, can connect to some services, can connect, but can’t use services.
Hi i am now back online now I’ve found how all you have to do:
Go into your Network settings, and change your MTU setting to 1473, leave everything else however you had it.

I will admit that comment number 1302 posted by “+ NZB_EJ1 on December 28th, 2014 at 9:48 pm” fixed my issue so I suggest anyone else that might just not be able to sign in try doing it as well. Their might be mixed results.

how many days it been now? how is it that xbox fixed there’s so fast and were so far behind? I never had a problem when I didn’t have to pay for online gaming with you now I do and I run into more problems it seems… I changed my password and now besides it now logging me onto the network its saying on ps4 my password isn’t right but its good enough to log on through my computer tho… wats the time frame till this is all squared away??? because the auto comments on the ps4 is bull and they seem to piss me and many people I ask off then answer our questions because they don’t tell us anything. mine keeps trying to blame my internet but everything in my house works except ps4 network so nice try…
I am as mad as everyone else but Sony didn’t do this. My PS3 can log on to Playstation Network but my PS4 cannot. Just please help me fix it soon. My only day off and I can’t play. Bummer.

Sony I would welcome your comments on compensation for the lost days at a primetime when everyone is off and has a chance to play via your network that we all pay good money for! Please don’t try to brush this aside as you need to address this quickly to regain some credibility and trust back from your loyal paying customers?

Pretty much right now if you can’t connect, you have to set your MTU to a value between 1400 to 1473 (higher numbers being slightly less likely to work, but values too low will also have issues).
After you do that, you restart your console and hope that you can connect when it reboots. If not, you can try a few times. If that still fails, you are one of the ones that just can’t connect. Which means it is probably hopeless for you until tomorrow when Sony gets back to work (they seem to be on a 5 day, weekdays only, schedule).
Even assuming you can connect, you might not be able to access what you want.
I would like to know how come i can log-in into psn by way of my ps3 n Playstation app but not with my ps4, its kinda crazy due to the fact that you would think the ps4 would be priority over an app…
I expect a huge return after this. ruining almost half my vacation time.
Oh, also, a warning, what I mean by values too low having issues…. certain PSN functions may require you to have over a certain MTU in order for them to work properly. I forget which ones and what the minimums were though (and it was over a year ago that I had this problem, so it may be fine now-I had mine set to the 800-1200 area for certain competitive online games, which disabled a few functions like purchasing stuff from the PS Store). the 1400s should be relatively safe though for most.
If MTU 1473 doesn’t work, try 1475. And you HAVE to restart the PS4. IMO 1475 works better
Ive been trying to sign in to my account for the las 3 days on my ps4 and it keeps telling me “The connection to the server has been lost. (NW-31194-8)” but i can still sign in on my phone using the psn app why is tht??
Sony, I am afraid my psn and ps4 have been corrupted by these little losers that live in their mother’s basement. Either you make it a priority to find these guys and bring them to justice, or you will have a lawsuit on your hands. Sincerely, a depressed customer.

I just bought the Ps4 bundle . I cannot redeem my free game .Also the free 10$ code for the PlayStation store says its invalid.
Boot up your PlayStation 4.
Go to “settings.”
Go to “network.”
Select “custom.”
In this menu, leave everything as default except MTU.
Change MTU settings to “1473 or 1475″
Save your changes.
RESTART PS4.

Ok really upset im seeing everyone i know back online on ps4 i can not log in at all tryed over 6 hours doing what everyone said about the 1473 stuff and nothing it dosent work it keeps timing out so it dont connect at all my friends online play and didnt have to piut the 1473 in why dont this work and how can sony say its online also chat support is down now its been almost 5 days with no logging on for games i dont see why its not working when sony claims its fixed is anyone having issues still connecting
So I keep getting this error code (WN-31194-8) or (NW-31200-6)
I’ve restarted/rest my router/modem, still nothing
I’ve checked my services and they are at 100%
I can surf the web but I can’t login to my account on my ps4
It let me in Saturday night but I had figured everything was fixed so I went to bed and I try login in Sunday morning and I was logged in but couldn’t see my friends or sign in to the network (also live) so I log out and try again and gives me those two error codes mostly

I pay monthly for the playstation+ and it’s been about a week and still I can’t get on and play live or get anything on the ps.network and im wondering what is going on because that’s not cool.
If I am not going to be able to use what I paid for then I minus well return or sell the ps4 just a waste of money, can’t even play live for the amount of time I had paid for, there’s one week of live I could have enjoyed but the cyber attack and not being able to login did so on not letting me.

i can’t not login for ps4. it keep said NW-31194-8. i hope u sony fix it by 3-15-2015. if not. u just cost me lose $60. dollar a game. last month i pay 99 dollar. for call of duty aw digital pro edition. i want upgrade form ps3 to ps4. for free. i just got ps4 for chirstmas.
Sadly, my psn is still down. :/ It just sucks when almost every single game needs a psn connection. And I see other people are on and live through my Playstation app but it refuses to see that the psn is online. :/

1473 seems stable for downloads. I’m downloading several updates, apps and even that Poncho game and i’m getting impressive PSN sever connection and download speed. Just switch it back to 1500 in a week or two.
How much longer do we have to suffer before you guys fix this crap so we can get back online ??????

As of 01:00 MST December 29, 2014 I still have no access to the PSN. Is that what you call back up and running? In fact nobody I know has PSN service restored. When is the real date for restoration of PSN service?
