I stated on here a few hours ago, do not trust the customer support. The staff is Kids out of high school and adults unskilled enough for other types of work. If you have ever worked at a call center you know the number one rule of information is nobody has the same information and if they do, it was given to them to get you off their backs. People who work at call centers deal with people yelling at them all day, and couldn’t care less about what your going through and just want to get off work and go home so they can also complain about not having driveclub.

As sorry step it up Sony! Offer game absolutely FREE! Be a man and account yourself for mistakes that does happen For PlayStation Plus users… This could be huge marketing strategy I bet about 97% of user base would bought PS+.. customer attractions boost in paid service sale.. Sometimes attraction and stand for promise worth much more than product itself… To receive, you have to give first…
So first it was, get this game at launch with the ps4, then oh you can get the plus edition of driveclub and upgrade to the full version for 9.99 USD but if your plus sub runs out you can’t play the game no more lol, now we just don’t get the plus edition at all, oh and none of the games for plus are free, we pay 50 USD a year for those games.
I have been in this forum all day,I just went a browsed google for information… nothing. In fact this forum is by far the most active about it. Also nobody has yet to hear from sony officially. Its all been BS pumped out by customer service peeps.
I have to say it’s kind of shocking how they’ve managed to stay quiet on this so far considering Sony usually handles these kind of situations with impeccable grace and humility. I have to wonder if their decision to not chime in is an attempt at damage control considering how badly things go for Ubisoft any time their PR department opens their collective mouth. Overall this hasn’t exactly been a smooth week for the console gaming community at large but this will pass and we’ll all get over it while constantly making “same day as the full game” jokes until the end of time.
All that aside PS+ is still the best deal in gaming and I appreciate all the effort thats gone into getting the indie developers on board. Sony still has some of the best exclusives around, they don’t shove ads in your face like the xbox and they’ve made a legitimate effort to bring both classic and weirder modern import titles to the US unlike Nintendo. I just wish it didn’t seem like Randal from Clerks is solely responsible for handling the store updates. Wait.. is Randal from Clerks handling the store updates? That would actually explain a lot.
I “harassed” customer service, albeit from the web chat, for an answer regarding what’s going on with Driveclub’s PS+ edition. The answer I got was that we’d all receive an email about it at 8pm, PST. Obviously, this has not happened. Customer service even dropped the ball. -.-
oh well as expected… Sony just make people excited and make them disappointed in the end :( we waited for so long and the date is not even the 1st of the month but the monthly PS Plus free games are LATE and now the Drive Club is way more late than the other free games…. Forcing people out to be a ps plus member but disappointing people who spent money to become a member… SUPER POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE it is!

I don’t hate sony for this, I really don’t. But am I miffed? Of course I am! To say the least this is unacceptable behavior from a supplier to its customers. Im not asking for a million dollars but it wouldn’t be wrong for them to compensate us for this. It’s like ordering a pizza and expecting it to be there on the time given by the company. If it isnt its usuallly free of charge or discounted. Pizza solves all of lifes issues. Sony buy us a pizza and we will call it even.

Thanks for nothing Sony. Clearly they had no intentions whatsoever of posting the game or announcement on why they weren’t posting the game. Clearly day 1 sakes aren’t where they wwanted them to be. they didn’t even bother listing it on the blog. An announcement would have been nice, you don’t leave paying fans sitting around waiting for something you promised and then screw them over. Thanks for a few more Atari games. PS plus is terrible anymore.

I watched gamespot video review, they gave driveclub 5/10, so I dont even care if they delayed ps plus edition cause I wont download it anyway :)
So after seeing multiple advertisements of a free version of driveclub for ps plus members, its not there. Hmmm, hey sony! Are you aware of the term false advertising? Just an FYI it happens to be illegal in this country. I am sure i am not the only pissed off plus member. My membership expired a month ago and i didnt wanna renew because the PS4 free games have been weak eventhough PS3 gets good ones. Yet i went against my better judgement and upgraded to plus again today just to get driveclub. You can imagine my surprise hen i couldn’t play it. Well anyways i took screenshots of your advertisements just to have some proof you advertised a free version games. Me and my fellow ps plus members are awaiting our compensation. Otherwise the new stations are gonna love this story, “major electronics and game company commits false advertisement!” Sound interesting?
So they borked the servers and decided to withhold the free version while trying to fix it basically. I would be totally cool with that had somebody said something 12 hours ago and it wasn’t promised the same day multiple times. Like the old saying goes “Don’t write checks with your mouth your butt can’t cache”. Anyone else looking forward to The Crew?
820, i was just going to say the exact same thing, because I have purchased the 49.99 $ edition of the game and me & my friends are getting a warning for the Servers not being avalable.
I want to say to everyone who jump against Sony- IT IS NOT SONY`S fault but the developers.
As a Forza/ GT fan of pure racing simulation and as a person who can’t stand playing arcade NFS, I can tell you that I give Driveclub 8/10.
It might not have 100% pure simulation physics but the cars behave Realistic & great, similar to PGR 3 but better. All cars I have tried so far handle differently and feel natural – again I HATE arcade racers – so this is the perfect blend between Real Simulation & Arcade.
If since yesterday, you have played GT or Forza (not Horizon) and you jump to Driveclub you might not like the handling as it will feel “cheaper” compared to those titles. I have sold my 360 like 3 months ago so I haven’t played a racing sim in that time and i really like Driveclub.
Graphics are awesome, with almost no jaggies as It seems there is heavy (not as heavy as Destiny) AntiAliasing and i have never liked AA. It seems they have fixed & improved the penalty system and i think the AI is great (I certainly don’t get hit in the back for braking as in Forza 4)
So after a years delay and a beta test they didn’t know that almost all ps+ accounts would be playing on their servers and that they couldn’t handle that………….yea I don’t think so. I truly believe they are trying to get some impulse buyers now. They could have released that statement hours ago. Someone removed ps+ edition from the post about the store update on the blog so they knew then that it wasn’t happening.

Don’t mean to pour more cold water, but this DriveClub PS Plus Edition is really like any racing game demo. It’s not even the 1/5-of-full-game that was promised to us (which was already a major downgrade from the full-game-minus-a-few-assets that was originally promised).
In Tour/career mode, the menu shows a set of 10 events. Only 3 are unlocked (one normal race, one championship with 2 rounds, one time trial). In each event, there are side conditions you can complete (reach top 3, reach certain speed, reach certain lap time…) to earn you stars. In order to unlock the next set of events, you need to get 14 stars. The 3 events available to you will get you 12 stars.
In other words, there are only 3 events for you to sample the game. It is really a demo like what you get in any racing game demo. This is yet another bait and switch. Sure, there are trophies as promised, but you will have to keep grinding that 3 events over and over and over and over to earn them.

That’s why the free edition is not on the PS Store, and we don’t know when it’ll be available… We have to wait few days more, there is so many games to play like Shadow of Mordor!

It’s ok, Sony. You can keep your Driveclub demo, and I’ll be keeping my money for my PS+ subscription that runs out Friday. You really need to consider if the missteps you are taking now are really worth all the bad blood it’s generating. You are on top now, but if you get arrogant we will quickly put you back on the bottom. You need us a lot more than we need you.
