This month our PlayStation Plus members will receive two games free the day they release on PlayStation Store — Road Not Taken on PS4 and Metrico on PS Vita. In addition to these titles, members will receive other popular games like Fez on PS4, Crysis 3 and Proteus on PS3 and Dragon’s Crown on PS Vita.
PS4 owners can enjoy two puzzle games with very different mechanics. First up, there’s Road Not Taken, where you’ll aim to strategically maneuver through a forest as efficiently as possible with only a limited amount of stamina, all while saving lost children. Then you can don a fancy hat in Fez, as you jump around pixelated 2D levels housed in a 3D world. Shift your view of the landscape with the hit of a button and journey to find the pieces of a Hexahedron.
On PlayStation 3, Crysis 3 offers the sandbox first-person shooter world that made the franchise famous and there’s a new toy to play with – the Predator Bow. If you enjoy multiplayer, there’s a new mode here called Hunter where two players are pitted against a team of CELL agents with the goal of slowly turning all of them into fellow Hunters. Then, there’s the soothing experience of Proteus, where you’ll explore procedurally generated islands with a dynamic soundtrack.
Finally, PlayStation Vita owners will get their hands on the highly-anticipated puzzle-platformer Metrico and critically-acclaimed action RPG Dragon’s Crown. Traverse a world filled with infographics in Metrico, but don’t be fooled by the clean presentation – proceeding through these charts isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. Invite up to three friends to join you in the dungeons of Dragon’s Crown, and thanks to Cross-Play you can even go adventuring with your buddies who have PS3s.

I went ahead and bought a ps4 for great next generation games but it seems like all it seems to be getting from ps+ are low quality games ps3 are getting great titles why can’t ps4

road not taken & crysis 3 look alright but ive been very disappointed with the ps4 in general. ive only had it for 3 months now but all the free games ive received were really low-sub-par. strider? towerfall ascension ? Fez ? these games look like they could have been released on a ps2. no youtube app on ps4 ? so we have to buy music unlimited ? no ability to pause downloads other than to shut the network connection off ? ive really been trying not ti gripe this whole time & stay loyal to sony but ive found it really hard lately to be happy with a product that im not happy with.
Ready for road not taken and fez for PS4 i need to play it more and i had crysis but been wanting it again so me and my mate can play, GREAT MONTH!
Too Bad Dragon’s Crown isn’t on PS4! That’s the only one I really want to play. The Indie games seem totally lame. Fez looks like it may be ok.

Been waiting on Dragon’s Crown! Too bad I sold my PS3, I hear that is the best way to play it. The Vita will have to do. BEYOND!
Vita line up is epic. Every month my list of games to acquire grows slimmer. If only I had time to play it all… I think at this point the only game left I have yet to play/acquire for ps3 is skyrim. I plan on picking up the ultimate edition sometime this month.

I had a xbox 360 for a week then i traded it in for a ps3 but now i kinda want xbox one for its games im always a sony fan but i need some fun games to play.
Wow, this month is just ridiculously good. Kristine, you all should just start announcing them in the format of one of those “CRAAAAAZY DEALS!!” commercials. I can see it now “But wait, THERE’S MORE!”
Another shooter? Really? I’m tired of getting only FPS or TPS on the IGC for PS3. Every month the same crap. No action adventure, no RPGs, no open worlds. For the live of God, enough with shooters.
PS4 getting only indies is starting to suck for some of us. KNACK and /or KZ Shadow Fall should be considered for the near future. Shadow Fall’s multiplayer shoul be free to play, quite frankly, nobody plays that game. I remember there were only 1500-2000 users at any given moment when it came out. TDM servers with only 700 people, it’s sad.
For me, the worst month in awhile. Good thing I don’t have much time to play games this month … !
@404.. never buy an older game the last week of a month on any system unless it is a sale that you don’t mind paying $4 on if it becomes free (I recently bought Batman Blackgate and took my chance).
@411.. I see Injustice happening before either of them especially since it just had a sale. And I see Killzone happening before Knack since KZ has DLC to purchase. But why would you prefer a lower rated exclusive instead of a high rated indie?

When are they going to release a GOOD Playstation Plus game for the PS4?
We’re getting to the point, now, where the vast majority of people responding to this blog regarding each month’s new additions to the IGC are all saying the same thing: STOP WITH THE OBSESSION WITH INDIE GAMES.
We all know that Sony is only having these games added to the IGC because they’re cheaper to acquire and distribute than AAA titles by well-known and well-loved developers. Some people like indie games. Many do not.
A lot of us are fatigued by shovelware, having owned smartphones and portable consoles for years, and we’re getting sick of seeing the same scene being forced by Sony. Sony wants SO BADLY for all of their customers to be just as obsessed with indie games as they are, but, the truth of the matter is, we aren’t.
I am no longer going to download any indie games that are added to the IGC. I used to download everything, just because it was “free”. No longer. We need to send a message to Sony that we are NOT interested in more indie games, and the only way to do that is by not downloading them in the first place. They aren’t listening to us on this blog. Let’s speak with our wallets.

@416 Fez is amazing, you’ll love it. The music and ambiance has a sort of “zen” effect. Very relaxing when you aren’t racking your brain on a puzzle.

I just got a vita and was so excited to get Dragon’s Crown, but in Europe we get LEGO Harry Potter, awwww come on! There isn’t anyway to trade is there? :p Still an awesome lineup, especially with fez also being available for vita and ps3. And Metrico looks very slick!
This is definitely one of the better months for PS+. I saw a little while ago that EU PS+ members got Dragon’s Crown already for the Vita, glad to see NA members will get to get in on the action too.

I’m getting tired of these indie games for PS4. give something worth while. or even something for the F2P games. I don’t remember PS4 getting anything other than indie games for PSPlus. It’s like paying money to play my NES.
This month’s offerings are very good. Because of the insanely good deal PS Plus is, I don’t like to complain, but the last two months have been rather lackluster for me. I probably would have really enjoyed Sly Cooper, but the game’s file size is too big at the moment. I have to save that game when I can delete some other big size games. Fez stands out to me. I’ll probably be horrible at it lol, but it looks like a great game. I’m not big into shooters, but Crysis 3 definitely seems like a better game than Dead Space 3. I’m not sure what Proteus is, but it also seems interesting. I always hear about Dragons Crown all the time, so obviously a lot of people enjoy that game too. Great month!
Apparently I was bad at reading, since my comment @264 was dated later than Kristine’s replies, but with the PS3 version of Dragon’s Crown available too, I can get started on it before going mobile. Heck, already wanna take advantage of that for Rogue Legacy. Can’t wait to start up work, if only to feed my habits!

I almost bought Dragon’s Crown for Vita last week. And now we get it for the Vita AND PS3?!
I’ve had Crysis 3 for a while already, but maybe now the multiplayer will be lively again; a good reason to pop it back in for a while.
Regardless of how each of us feels about indies, it’s possible that Sony is having greater difficulty making deals with publishers. Maybe they’re more reluctant to give away their games. After all, once I have a game via the IGC I *can’t* pay for it later. (At least not with the same account.) I’m just curious about the real story on this. Is it really just a matter of indies being cheaper? If so, it’s a bit hard to blame Sony for wanting to save money. Understandable too with online play now behind a pay wall going forward.
I’m also curious about the recent shift to the EU model for the IGC. They’ve gotten all their games at the start of the month for a long time now. Did complaints on this blog factor into their decision? Or did they simply look at the EU Plus model and see that it (perhaps) makes more money. Or is just easier to deal with and have customers understand.
so in the end, is Dragons Crown, Proteusm FEZ and Metrico Free for BOTH ps3 and Vita versions????????

As I said before damn near every one is sick of the indie games. i get it there is not that much available for PS4 so i kind of expect a lot of indie games but at the same time look at last week Injustice gods among us went on sale for $8 sony could have easily thrown a launch title like that in the IGC by now, hell any launch title as others said.
As far as PS3 goes there is no excuse as to why they suddenly halted on AAA games Sony has a vast amount of AAA games for PS3 look at last year tons of AAA games for IGC. I honestly feel the only real reason they halted on that is because of Playstation Now. As soon as they started beta testing Playstation now the IGC started to suck and they started rehashing games for IGC. I was part of that beta test from the very start and that is where the decline in AAA PS3 games started.
Crysis 3 fun game but the MP is pretty much dead and has been for a very long time, Willing to bet it gets a small spike of people playing online do to it being added to IGC bet that lasts about as long as a fart in the wind cause no offense as i said before it is horrid online lags badly and that is with the lack of people online it will be far worse come the small spike of people.

This month is far better than the last. I’ve had many opportunities to play FEZ, but never tried it yet. Now I really have no choice. Proteus and metrico have also peeked my interest, though, I’ve never even heard of them before.
I’m not usually one for puzzle games, but they seem to be getting so good lately I have to give every one of them a shot. After all, trine was fun as hell with 2 players. Its a hit and miss situation but its more hit than miss as of late.
Crysis and Dragon Crown. Cool haven’t played any of those yet. Just wish there were better PS4 games out yet. Just getting tired of “indie” games.

I’m a PS4 only user. I like indies, but why are you giving much better games for ps3 and vita than for ps4? Look at the video, the worst graphics on it are on the games for ps4. It’s a shame.
