Update: An earlier headline for this post stated that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PS Vita, which was incorrect. Type-0 is coming to PS4 in North America and Europe.
I’d like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game to come to North America. Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s coming and it’s going to be in HD.

@273 Elvick_ — Yes! Vita (or even just PS Mobile) could use some of the mobile titles SQEX has pumped out, particularly the polished FFs proper (though I believe the PSP version of FFIII is more feature-rich than the mobile releases).

Okay, perhaps I’m merely ignorant of the history of this game, but why is there so much outrage toward Sony in this matter? Wasn’t it Square-Enix that made the erroneous announcement and is ultimately in charge of what they release where and when?
Sony, after this “mistake” you should put your own money to port this game to Vita. As a Vita owner who waited years for this game to be released on the west, I feel insulted.

So what about the whole action with #VitaJRPG (or #sonyJRPG was it…I forgot). Mr. Ahmad told us that he will do his best to deliver, but as it seems what he has done was worse than telling a lie – he told us a half-truth (as it’s coming….only not for PS VITA).
I’m concerned with what the game will look like. Let’s be true – HD remasters of games from PSP will either cost SE thousands of hours of work and a massive bleeding of cash, or they will go the easy way and do the least to make the game feasible. What I mean is that in 1080p the game may look bad. It would be better to rethink the situation and change the target to PS VITA as the smaller screen and resolution won’t make it so visible.
Also it will help to promote PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Vita TV….Oh, wait. I meant PlayStation TV as SONY tries to put a smokescreen so that the gullible won’t see that they’re getting a Vita without the screen. As we all know that “Vita” became a stigma for the PlayStation….which is totally fault of their errors and indolence.

So in the post it mentions that fans have been fighting for this one and it’s finally happening. What a bunch of bologna. Yeah, they’re right, PSP owners fought for it. You know, those people who own a HANDHELD CONSOLE. So why would Vita owners, who are probably those same people, want it on the Vita? Are you kidding me?! Yeah, way to listen to your buyer base square. Unbelievable.
bravo SCEA, keep making ports and waste money on GoW or Borderlands instead of getting the games people really wanted
Wow. What, does Vita not exist? You KNEW this was one of the most requested Vita games. This happened because of #JRPGVITA. VITA. Not #JRPGPS4.
Please (re?)consider a Vita release, it’s the only way I would get this game. And it seems I am in no way alone in this.
Can’t believe some people are suggesting not buying Vita games over this… As if that is a good solution. The best weapon that we have is the strong attach rate. Without it, what real argument do we have? Other than just wanting it.
I’ll continue to buy Vita games, because I love the platform and love many of the games that come for it. And I hope people continue to do the same. It’s the best thing we cans do, besides complaining which personally is draining after awhile. Still be heard, but to fill all your time with it, rather than to enjoy a game or three is crazy.

No Elvick what we’re trying to say is that if they dont release type-0 on the vita then there is no way we’re going to purchase it for the PS4 or Xbone. I love the vita and constantly buy anything Xseed or Akysys releases just to help support them.
