Next month PlayStation Plus members will receive several games as part of their membership including Stick it to the Man! on PS4, Puppeteer, PES 2014 and Skullgirls Encore on PlayStation 3, and Limbo and Surge Deluxe on PS Vita. Several of these titles are a visual treat, boasting distinct, vibrant art styles.
Stick it to the Man! is a mix of point and click adventure puzzles plus a bit of platforming, and the animation-inspired art style is really slick. You’ll solve problems as Ray, a regular guy who wakes up one day with a giant pink hand floating out of his head. This pink hand gives him the ability to read people’s minds and grab stickers from their thoughts to use in the world.
On PS3 members will receive three very different titles: the award-winning, uber-charming platformer Puppeteer, the popular soccer simulator Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 and the indie-darling fighter with a crazy roster, Skullgirls Encore. Puppeteer is a visual treat that follows the story of a boy named Kutaro who gets turned into a puppet by the evil Moon Bear King (great name) and loses his head. After the transformation Kutaro must borrow other heads and use his fancy new pair of scissors to navigate the world and return home (preferably with his original head). Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 allows you to play as your favorite soccer team and pit them against teams from around the globe. The improved FOX Engine means that the soccer ball will be much more fluid than previous PES games. The 2D fighter Skullgirls Encore houses a bunch of wacky characters, each with their own unique attack style. The Encore version has new systems, balance updates, stages and music and a few new characters to mess around with.
PS Vita owners will get to download Surge Deluxe, an intense color-matching title and the critically-acclaimed puzzle platformer Limbo. The action in Surge Deluxe heats up quickly as you chain together color-coordinated blocks. The faster you move the more likely you are to be successful — taking too long means the pressure will build up in the pipes surrounding the screen and BOOM! Game over. If you haven’t played Limbo yet you’ll be in for a real treat when it comes to the Instant Game Collection for PS Vita. Limbo’s haunting atmosphere, intriguing puzzles and vague narrative make this a game you’ll remember for a long time.

Saying that a re-release is a stab in the back when people clearly want it is little bit dumb. It’s not Metal Gear Solid V where Kojima decided to release the two parts individually. The hate for Ground Zeroes is justified, The Last of Us isn’t and is a stupid reason to complain about. So yeah, I don’t need no “valid argument” to prove my point. Even if we accept the idea that “most people” don’t care about playing or watching real soccer in the U.S. (which I don’t), it’s pretty ridiculous to say that people here don’t like playing soccer video games.
Almost any time you hear or see the phrase “most people,” it means “me and a few friends of mine.” Making things up does not help your case. Just say you don’t like it and leave it at that.
Personally, I don’t give 2 farts about it. But it costs me nothing that others will get it for free next month. Good for them. Many are glad to have it.
Well it is nice to see a sports title in PS+ (it has been a while since NFL Blitz and NBA Jam were added) and I’ll definitely give Puppeteer a try; this has got to be about the worst month in the history of PS plus. PS4 owners should start feeling insulted by the service as all the PS+ games on PS4 are either indy/garbage (Outlast and Mercenary Kings were ok) but PS4 owners are REQUIRED to subscribe to play online multiplayer!
Yeah, not a good month, for me. Judging by the rating, I’m not alone in that. Puppeteer is the only one I’m kinda looking forward to. But, hey, I’ve got quite the back catalog to delve into. So no big deal.

I bought Puppeteer when they had it for a low discount and luckily I didn’t break the bank for it. But PSN please stop with putting the games on sale and a few months later they are giving away free. That is becoming a bit frustrating to your users and buyers. I do appreciate the services you do provide and I am looking forward to paying PES 14, Skullgirls, and Stick It To The Man. BOOO I am a huge fan of sony but may’s upcoming titles are ehh not so great they need to add another exciting game to that line. I mean its MAY its the month in the middle of spring make it POP! Planetside 2 would be amazing on Ps3. Most of those games are basically minis or arcade games right? what about the ps3 full games?? anyone know if more will be released?

I play all varieties of games and sony is still finding a way to put useless **** on plus every month, last decent games were DMC, and Bioshock. I personally think it’s an excellent update despite a few iffy offerings. As far as it goes generally I am lucky to get even one game that i have had an interest in playing / buying a month.
This month there are quite a few, and normally if you bought them on discount you might be a bit disapointed.
Stick it to the man, will have to give a try, I am past expecting Sony to give me games like Trials Fusion so at least I can try some titles that i wouldn’t normally and feel no guilt if i move on after a single play.
PES 2014 – I bought this when the price dropped to 29.99 and I bought the world cup DLC for 4.99 (which i would advise others to skip unless they are Brazil fans as the whole team is licenced and the faces are accurate) Holland is still unlicenced which is crazy.
I will trade in my copy and keep the digital PES. Thanks for finally offering some variety, and if your complaining about this people, recognize that soccer / football is the most popular sport in the world and the world cup is this summer. You can play matches even without the paid cup dlc.
Puppeteer, is an excellent offering and exactly the type of game that people have missed out on and will be enjoying as a plus game. If you bought it on discount, you can hardly feel bad, what was it $7 (i almost bought it) Looks like a fun one time play.
Vita
I could care less for surge, but it could be a decent puzzle game
Limbo while old, is a great plus game for people like me that are long time holdouts. If you bought it for 14.99 that’s on you it was already out on 360 for almost 2 years so you had to know it was going to be in plus eventually and the vita version is the one that makes the most sense if your going to play now.
Murasma while a great game, is not a big appeal for the large group and will likely follow in the next month or two. Pes 2014 was last month in europe and this trend seems to occur frequently.
So
3 games is pretty good, and i might like stick it to the man and surge.

Not for nothing, but, I honestly didn’t dish out the 60 dollars required for a year long subscription to PS+ for these indie games that one could simply purchase on their PC via Steam or Humble Bundle for a much cheaper price than the gradual “moneys worth” accumulation of my Subscription. Could we possibly get more AAA content (Not to say indie is bad, as I am an indie developer) or Multiplayer content heading to the lineup I’m sure this would please not only me, but a mass of your subscribers. Also, it seems the team at SCEA is slowly phasing out the PS+ lineup for the PS3. Are they planning on dropping the PS3 as they have practically done to the PSP in the near future?

Bought PS+ a few months ago for my Vita, it seemed promising at first, but it’s turning out to be nothing special. If PS+ for Vita continues like this, I won’t be renewing.
On another note, Vita’s upcoming game releases look pretty damn awesome this year. Can’t wait to get my hands on Helldivers & Freedom Wars. Good job Sony. :D

Dear Sony,
I have been really disappointed in the free games this month and May’s. Mercenary kings to me was awful, poorly executed money grab off of nostalgic fans, dead nation was okay, but still not great. The PS4 game for next month is another over rated indie title. If you want to support the indie games, at least try to get us some good ones. There are plenty of games I’d have been happy with, and none of them showed up on the list tonight. You could have put for PS4: Octodad, Fez, even pure chess or pure pool, Trine 2. The PS3 titles haven’t been horrible, though last month was not great, it’s inexcusable to put a Soccer game as a plus game, or any sports game for that matter. At this point if it wasn’t required I’d consider cancelling my membership.

Really nice update this month. You can never enough Limbo. I’m not into Soccer, so PES is not for me, but it’s still a great month. And don’t be such jerks towards the USA service in comparison to EU, each has its own pros and cons, and we eventually get most of the same content eventually.
So is Resogun going to be a a permanent PS4 free game? I think it’s time to start cycling around some new titles. Sill keep it to one game a month though. So basically, for example, if this were going to start next month, have Stick It To The Man replace Resogun, and leave Mercenary Kings up for another month. Then in June, the new game would replace Mercenary Kings, leaving Stick It To The Man up for two months. Ad so on from there. Just an idea to keep things fun and interesting.
I hope, no ..I Pray there will be some Awesome Deals during PES Week in the IGC cause i hate Soccer and I will not play it. but i will buy something if the price is right.

I already bought Limbo, Puppeteer and Stick-It-To-The-Man! Also, isn’t ‘Stick-It-To-The-Man!’ already a PS3/Vita Cross-Buy?? If not, it SHOULD be included! It seems conniving to introduce the PS4 version LATER just to make it NOT part of the Cross-Buy! I do get that it’s ‘Free’, but it ONLY free for us Playstation Plus members. I’m taking NON-members (who already bought the PS3/PS Vita combo) into consideration, here. I do hope that this doesn’t start a sneaky new trend, or anything. If so, many of us will be DEEPLY disappointed. Especially after its already pointed out beforehand.

SkullGirls is awesome, and I’m excited for it, but why does the PS3 Demo give us the ‘In Game’ option to ‘Rent’ it for FREE for our choice of 1 Day, 7 Days or 30 Days? What’s THAT all about?? I selected 30 Days, and nothing’s changed!! It’s STILL the same damned limited Demo Version!! [>:-O I thought these ‘options’ would unlock the Full Version for that time frame, but it apparently DOES NOT. WTF??!! Why give us ‘Options’ that mean and do NOTHING??!!

Well it’s great to see now that I have to have ps plus to play online games on the ps4 that are not free to play, that i will get crappier games each month. I get that we are not gonna get tripple A titles for free on the ps4 but i figured you would spice up the ps3 world. The fact that i have to pay for ps plus to play online with games that consistently don’t play as good as the free ps3 versions is irresponsible. Either give us games that make it worth it or fix the servers. The ps4, ps plus, and even the vita is turning into abig disappointment. So far the onlything I really feel great about sony lately is warframe a free to play game. So why even have ps plus. And just so you know over 20 of my friends feel the same way. And most of us run 30mb to 50mb per sec bandwith so the online and connectivity work fine for us on everything but ps4 that we now need to pay to play. Thanks for that. I miss the old sony that cared about gamers, i feel like a xbox user now.
I’ve never played a soccer game before but what the hell, I’ll give it a go. It’ll give me something else to try out with my son. April’s line up was awesome. Batman Arkham Asylum. This month’s line-up leaves more to be desired but i guess you cant have it badass all the time. If any of you out there are excited about pes14, send me a friend request and I’ll play it with you.
