Agreed 100%. EU has a 3 week Easter savings sale with good deals, while we get a 3 day 99¢ old game sale.

EUs Easter Sale made the US sale look like poo. We got a bunch of really old and mostly bad games that nobody wants, like they’re the island of misfit video games. A few really good games there, but really old.
I have different accounts for different regions, but why would I sub to more than one + at a time? Also, if I don’t resub for US+ then I lose all the games I have acquired.
Please please please don’t bring kid games next month for plus members. Was disappointed with this months offerings and I’m still waiting Dishonored will this game never join the igc ????

Ever since I fell in love with Pixeljunk Monsters (even before the Encore release), I’ve been a huge supporter of the company and the software products they release.
It’s exciting to see my favorite one join the IGC. I hope this brings many more people online to the multiplayer, or at least to couch co-op, because this game is even better with friends!
Origins is like 25 bucks at Best Buy.

FYI: As you may know, any game on your download list may be downloaded as many times as you wish. At any time. It’s not even necessary to download games (IGC or otherwise) in the first place. Simply start the download and cancel it to have it in your download list. (Usually works this way for free stuff.) Or if it’s on your list, leave it there until you have time for it. (Buying any game will put it in your download list.) This is how many people save HDD space.
Are there risks? Yes. Occasionally, some items on your download list may disappear or become unavailable (for reasons known and unknown). But it’s also possible your HDD could get corrupted, so downloading every game on your list is still no guarantee.
I’m just saying…I don’t want to see anyone buy a whole new console or miss out on sales/IGC items just because they thought it was necessary to download everything.
@neuropunk: Regardless, I find it funny how many people did like the sale we had here. We even had people from EU complaining that they didn’t get our sale. The grass is always greener…
PixelJunk is definitely not a kids game. Its a charming little indie style strategy game that will please everyone… not just kids.
Already owned most of this month (Vita).
The flash sale was nice though. I wasnt’ crazy about Trials, Retro, or a few others I bought for more, even though on sale.
But the Crash and Spyro games made up for it.
Now if we could just use them on Vita.
Unsure why they’d be upset over a bunch of really old games and/or games that are really bad for $1. I did buy a few but only because they were $1. Super Stardust HD was easily the best of the bunch, but I bought that like 4 or 5 years ago. Already had all the Playstation 1 games with Plus too.
I’d much rather have half off retail game prices. Tales of Graces F half price? I’m jealous. I guess I am better off sticking with GameFly sales, since physical is better anyway and even with really good digital sales, you can almost always find the physical copy for cheaper.

I’d wager that the update will be next week, the first day of May. They haven’t released their last April Vita IGC game (Velocity Ultra), which I imagine will come out before they preview the next month.
@neuropunk: Yeah, the NA Flash sale was good for people who just got a PS3. Or missed out on a lot of oldies/classics. Or just can’t pass anything up once it gets down to $1. Or…
The EU sale would probably have pleased a wider audience here, but some in the EU were upset nothing in their sale was $1. Of course, many of the games were newer AAA titles.
It all depends on what you like. Those looking for newer AAA games should (and technically still can) go for the EU sale. Those happy with older/indie/classic games did fine over the weekend.
Physical: Yup. I assume that was carlpain’s point about Batman: AO. It often takes a super digital sale for prices to match what you can just go down to Best Buy and get any day of the week.
No Easter sale and maintenance on Easter.

Word, when were you planning on telling us about the maintenance today?
I am enjoying PlayStation Plus, but I do have one niggling request;
I would’ve bought the Spyro games in the Flash sale but I was unable to because I had already gotten them on PS Plus. If I want to play them on my PSP I can’t if the system clock acts up, and I would’ve wanted to be able to play them at any time. Will there be some option in the future to purchase games already “bought” with PS Plus, without having to wait for the subscription to expire? Perhaps a “Free Games” list next to the Download List, with an option to buy next to each title?

Ok, Thumbs and Spacerac, and everyone else who needs to know: You can buy any game on the IGC you already have or would just like to actually own. Just create a second account. Like BunsofSteel or Spacerat, buy the game under your second acct. Once you download it, switch back to your real acct to earn trophies. You can do this if you have a second Plus acct on the EU store, too. Does NOT work for Vita, though, as Vita is account-specific.
All you need is a different email address.
Will Pixeljunk Monsters Deluxe HD be coming to Ps4 anytime soon. I would love to see Pixeljunk Monsters 2 come out one day.

Always at the end of the month, there’s a lack of impressiveness that i see
throughout the month. It’s great and all that you all hold on to the games in the IGC
but for the longest time they are the lack luster ones that seem to remain. How about a bi-weekly hit
not just the one per month whether it is at the start or end. It’s just to predictable that i’m going to get one great game once
then some par or sub bar by the end of the month. Then finally at the last Tuesday for the month it’s rubsih for ps3 or ps4, but not vita lest we point out. So please share the wealth for the rest of the systems throughout the month PLEASE….
Bought it at full price when it came out. Don’t regret that a bit. This is still one of my go-to games on the Vita. Highly recommended.
i really want injustice: gods among us for ps4, but $25 is still too much. i already bought it for ps3 and spent money on dlc, so it’s not worth it for me to spend that kind of money on it again. it was already on sale for $25 not too long after it was released. how come it can’t be like $15 for plus members, or even $10? i’d get it at that price. arkham origins is also an unjustifiable purchase for me; i’m interested in ps4 stuff now.

When Sony had that massive outbreak because of their terrible security and all these thousands of accounts being hacked and unrecoverable, I’m pretty sure that’s not being “immune” to theft just because it’s digital.

Yeah, I know. Whiners tend to speak more often. But have you actually counted how many people have the same opinion? The number (at least on this blog) most likely doesn’t exceed single digits. Multiple whines from the same people over and over again don’t count as new voices.
Also, did you realize… (this is the important part… pay attention) that the PUBLISHERS are the ones who ultimately decide which of their products goes on sale and/or given away for “free” in any given region? How have you not comprehended yet, after all this time, that your frustration, when aimed at Sony (SCEA’s operation of the PS Store specifically, which acts as a middleman), is completely off-target? Do you want Sony to strong-arm their affiliates into undesirable business agreements just to appease a tiny group of vocal video game snobs? In what world would that be a wise business practice?
Yet another game added to Plus! which was on sale not long ago. You guys are nothing if not predictable. You ever consider adding more games which have never been on sale? Of course not, because then more people will get them for free.
Also, peoples’ random ‘wish lists’ really crack me up. For example, @65, H*ell will freeze over before they add many of the games on your list. But you go right on wishing if it makes you feel any better. Don’t hold your breath too long now!

Nobody’s digital games were stolen (download lists altered or deleted), as far as I know. There would have been massive complaints about that which I surely would have remembered. My download list was fine, and I even still had the money in my wallet that was there before the hack. None of my friends suffered any losses either. And my other points still stand. You get 2 copies with digital (a great value if you have more than one console). No sales tax, no standing in line, no shortage of copies, no damaged discs. There are many advantages to downloaded games. That was my main point. Many people still erroneously hold the belief that hard copies are superior in every way, as if there’s no contest. But if that were true, MP3s never would have replaced CDs in such a widespread fashion, as they have. Right? Right.

So yeah. Guys, if you want to buy it even after you got it from the IGC you’ll need another account. A different valid e-mail address will be required for each new account.
@Primero: I get that some people prefer digital. But many others expect price parity, if not a discount (however small) for going digital. For many, the pros of owning a physical copy outweigh the cons. So IMHO (and carlpain can speak for himself), the PSN sale price on that game is nothing special.
– Instead of “Regular Price” can you just call it “Sale Price” to avoid confusion?
– And also, PLEASE SPECIFY THE PLATFORM. Maybe it’s safe to assume that everyone knows what platform Arkham Asylum is on, but will everyone know Octodad, a new game? Just be consistent and ALWAYS mention the platform instead of doing so randomly.
– I suppose there is a Batman sale this week (including his appearance in Injustice and MK vs DC), that’s why Lego Batman 2 is repeated again after making an appearance in the Lego sale just last week. I guess Arkham City will also be on sale and have a regular sale price, but is not listed here cos it’s free to PS+ members? What about the LittleBigPlanet DC DLCs? (Hmm there is no digital version of Lego Batman 1?)
