Borderlands 2, one of 2012’s most critically acclaimed titles, is entering the Instant Game Collection tomorrow. Pick one of four new vault hunters (I went with Maya the Siren) and grab your randomly generated weapon, ‘cause a pesky psychopath called Handsome Jack is terrorizing the world of Pandora (but hey, he does it in style). Borderlands 2 excels in co-op mode, so team up with up some friends to explore the land. There are plenty of things to mow down for experience points and nothing feels better than a rare loot drop, plus you can customize your character to dish out more damage or provide support for you & your friends.

    Why is The Amazing Spiderman so expensive on discount ? The game came out a 1 year and a half. Any chance of lowering the price for the game ? The holiday sale is amazing by the way :), Tomb Raider is good for me this week :D

    Dragon’s Crown has been out long enough to warrant a better discount now. In fact if I’m not mistaken I just bought the digital copy for $29.99 a week or 2 ago so saving an extra $3 isn’t going to really convince me. The Vita one I’d double dip if it was in the $13.49 range. Where are the real sales though? Where’s Last of Us for under $20, well under it?

    Spelunky $3.75 :) Definite purchase for me..

    Borderlands 2 is great, played for many many hours and by the sounds of things I’m not alone in waiting for a discount on the season pass. Those other platforms have both had discounts on the pass and not just the individual DLC.

    Still an incredible game without the DLC

    Can I suggest PS Vita IGC titles? I’d love to see Muramasa Rebirth, Persona 4 Golden (I know it’s kind a stretch), Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 or Blazblue, Zero Escape or maybe even All-Stars Battle Royale. They’re awesome games and can make everyone that doesn’t have PS+ yet make that last move to perchase it.

    I’m not sure I understand why the vita version of Dragon’s Crown is the *exact* same price as the ps3 version, given the original price is 10 bucks cheaper. I love my vita for RPGs but come on; there’s no real incentive there when I can get a prettier version for the exact same price. If it were 5 bucks cheaper, I’d prolly pick it up for my vita since I’ve been holding off for it for a while, but as it stands I feel that sale isn’t worth it for the vita version… >.>

    @Spitfire_Zero_ Yes it will. The GOTY Edition contains 2 discs. One being the vanilla game and the other is the add-on disc with all the DLC in it. If you plan to download the game, just install all the DLC using the add-on disc and you should be just fine.

    Any of you sitting on the fence regarding Dragon’s Crown — it is worth every penny. If you only pick one version, I recommend the Vita version over the PS3 (it suits handheld better), but it is well worth the $$$ and it will keep you busy for a long time.

    Spelunky for $3.75 for Plus Members may be the best value of the holiday season. If you haven’t played it, you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy, because it’s one of the best games to come along in this generation. It’s particularly great on the Vita.

    D&D Chronicles is also a worthwhile purchase, especially for $3.75. It’s not as pretty or as polished as Dragon’s Crown, but it features one of the best arcade games ever made and has tons of replayability due to its branching paths, secrets and character classes. (Tower of Doom, the first game, is just OK; Shadows Over Mystara is the real gem of the pack.)

    Thanks, now I can peacefully start playing BL2 and carry over my progress when I get the disc GOTY edition. Hopefully that disc will be on the cheap by the time I’m done with the main game. Also glad to know that the DLC comes as a seperate disc altogether rather than just a plain ol code.

    @Morgan since you’re looking for Vita IGC suggestions, I think the best choices for the 3 to replace the current annual games are P4G, LittleBigPlanet, and PS All Stars. I already own all 3, but everyone should get to experience them!

    Also, some fantastic PS+ deals in this update, though I’d like to see more Vita love in next week’s

    For new Vita IGC games to replace Uncharted, Wipeout and Gravity Rush, I’d suggest

    Persona 4 Golden (even though I own it, it’d make a good “headliner” title, like Uncharted is now)

    Absolutely picking up Spelunky, and that’s an INSANE price for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2. Knew it would drop like a brick but didn’t expect that much so soon, but I’m glad I paid full to support the series in the states. Now the DLC I definitely wouldn’t mind picking up in a price reduced bundle…..

    As soon as I soon as I saw these deals, the first thing I thought of was the Gif. of Joel as Antonio Banderas…

    I’m a bigger fan of deep discounts since they are more plentiful than IGC additions, but as for suggestions for Vita’s IGC evergreen titles I would probably add:
    Little Big Planet Vita(great use of Vita features + the more expanded it’s reach, the more user generated levels)

    Playstation All Stars-Battle Royale(Sure the PS3 version has Cross-Buy, but this is a great game, that could use a bump in exposure, and with so many Playstation representatives, it’s a great way to get more exposure for other characters. )

    MLB 13: The Show.(Sony consoles are the best way to play to play baseball video games, and since the games aren’t cross buy anyways, how about giving people a taste of what the franchise is like with the current latest game.

    Super StarDust Delta( Not every game has to be a retail game in the IGC, so a great arcade shooter for those who missed Sine Mora or want some more is always great)

    Unit 13( This game is just made to be social. With so many people getting the Playstation Vita lately, and the big push for Social in PS4, this game deserves another chance in the limelight)

    I said back when One Piece: PW2 came out, that due to again lacking an English voice track, and withholding the Vita version from us, AND how they drastically discounted the first game twice within weeks of its launch, that I would not be buying the new one until it was deeply discounted.

    $12.50 is that deep discount I was waiting for, so I’ll go ahead and pick that up now.
    Also, since the Blogcast guys rave about Spelunky so much, but I loathe the Souls games, I decided I’d pick it up once it was super cheap, so $3.75 is also the kick-off point for me and Spelunky. Will be adding that to my Vita collection tomorrow (and PS3, I guess, haha).

    Very nice sales this week. Keep ’em coming. :)

    FINALLY!! An awesome sale!! I’m totally getting Marvel VS Capcom Origins and Spelunky!! and maybe Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Dragon’s Crown!!

    Also I already got One Piece and Tomb Raider but those prices are great!!

    What about the DLC for all the games that I mentioned before, come DLC sale love!?

    Just a thought, at those wanting the BL2 DLC for cheap. If the DLC is a second disc in the GotY version, maybe try buying it used, install the DLC (then return the used game for your money back), and see if it works with the free digital copy we’re getting. If it does, then you’re all set. If it doesn’t, then I guess just keep waiting for a discount on it. Though for $30, it’s more than worth it. We ended up getting like $45-50 worth of value on the $30 season pass, because of the extra updates they wound up including with the pass that weren’t originally announced for it.

    I know you guys love to answer nice “thank you sony” comments. But I must be honest here. I really don’t get why Vita Plus members are so underrated. Seriously, it’s the second week with no free games on IGC. And only 2 games (1 crossbuy) with discount on the holiday sale. Also, I see no reason why you guys bring jp releases for ps3 and dont make the same for vita (like One Piece). All this makes joining the Plus kinda pointless.

    P4G (but I just bought it)
    PSABR (not my thing, but if it was in the IGC I’d give it a try)
    Ys (I can hope, can’t I?)

    Also second the calls for an Atelier Ayesha discount. Am pretty close to buying it and while I’d prefer retail I can be swayed!

    I’d like to weigh in here and say Persona 4 Golden is a good game for ps+ but if you guys are getting it then I want EU to get it too. So perhaps it makes a good Uncharted/Gravity rush replacement so that we can get that game in ours too

    Hi, thanks for Borderlands 2…. as far as the sales, you guys really goofed by not having a bunch of them on Black Friday, or at least announcing ahead of Black Friday what sales were upcoming… with nothing announced the whole week of Thanksgiving here on the blog, and I checked it every day, I went ahead and spent my allotted game money on game deals on Black Friday from other sources, such as Best Buy and Walmart. I would have liked to have gotten some of these deals digitally on Playstation Store, but the money is already spent, and you guys missed the boat. I’m sure you’ll get some purchases from some people, but you missed out from a lot more people who already spent their Christmas game money, due to your horrible handling of Thanksgiving week and Black Friday. Just my 2 cents, some food for thought next year around Black Friday time.
