Don’t be alarmed — no, it’s not Monday. Although PlayStation Plus updates typically kick off the week, we’re trying something new by pulling back the curtain on our Instant Game Collection updates a little early.
For September, Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection is leading the charge, so you can break out your PlayStation Move Controllers (yes, regular controllers work too) and start destroying zombies. Later this month you’ll get the HD-remastered version of iconic PS2 classic ICO, one of Rockstar’s awesome portable versions of Grand Theft Auto (in this case, GTA: Liberty City Stories), Ubisoft’s loveable platformer Rayman Origins for PS Vita and the classic arcade shooter Galaga Legions DX.

Honestly folks. Unless I’m mistaken, publishers are responsible for putting their games on sale on PSN. I think it would probably be wiser to be mad at Ubisoft for putting their game on sale because they knew it was about to be given away for free. That makes more sense to me.
Of course you could also ask SCEA to watch out for this and not allow it. That would be very nice of them to ask publishers not to take advantage of the knowledge that their game is going on PS+ soon.
If they put rayman origins after 3 or more months then it’s fine.
But putting rayman origins just after 2 WEEKS from sale is a huge SLAP TO US vita subscriber! And to add much worst is I get nothing at all because I never even played psp games every month in IGC. Nothing for me this month not to mention only indie games are given from July to Aug.
Will Rayman Origins come to PS3 on + for free also?
SCEA should just drop out vita in PS PLUS and transfer us to either Asia or EU since those 2 regions were sticking to PS PLUS advertise PS3/Vita game IGC. both regions gives 2 vita titles, indie/retail. And most of all they wont sell games that will be given free next week.
This is a slap on the face to ps3 people I could give a dam and 2 nickels about people who own a vita ( about 12%) of playstation users) so honestly I wanted ac3 or Nfs or batman not some old old game with HD settings

I have one month left on my 3 month subscription. I don’t want to renew because it seems like psplus is getting worse each month. There has not been one free game that made me say “wow”
I did get Max Payne 3 and tokyo jungle at a discount but I would rather have the EU free games than the US discounts.

Nice lineup guys, I’m seeing lots of Capcom’s games lately, would you mind adding Megaman Powered Up for PSP on later months? That game is an eye candy and has a lots of DLC, some people may get hook on it, I really enjoyed the game myself though I had to sell my UMD disc, making it available for October would be a sweet birthday present :D
Now there is thing the three months were amazing we got saints row 3 and battlefield 3 ect. But this month it’s bad because there is no new games all the games are old and if sony see this comment please answer my question will you put 2013 games in Playstation plus or no please I need a answer

Resident Chronicles HD…..OMG thank you so much for this…as a RE fan and playa its been a while since I wanna get RE HD…..man I’m so thankful…..also I’m glad that Rayman Origins is the Vita one since I already have the PS3 version…anyway all the games are great…even GTA is good for this matter since I never played this one…..the only downside of this update for me is ICO since I already have the collection.But whatever awesome update.
Looks like a Vita month, so probably won’t download much if anything. Good choices for Vita though!

I think Sony hit it out of the park with the PS + line up this month. I do understand the complaining about Rayman Origins, that is kind of a low blow. I am lucky that I only purchased the PS3 version during the sale and I was regretting not getting the Vita version, so I was pretty stoked to see it for free this month. But had I bought the vita version during the sale 2 weeks ago I would be upset too.
Other than that, I do not understand what anyone could be complaining about this month. As for the AC3 complaint, I don’t even think AC3 is that great of an IGC title. I played it and loved it. But let’s face it, anyone who is even remotely interested in Assassins Creed already has this game. Same thing with the Batman games. I much prefer when they give us games that are good, but not necessarily games everyone and their brother already own. Hitman, Resident Evil HD Chronicles, and ICO are perfect examples of this.
I love the games this month. I think this is what most want out of ps plus. Variety. I had a question. Is there going to be an offer for ps plus that if you buy a year you’ll get three months free anytime soon like there was before? I’d like to renew my subscription if that deal comes around again.
Still waiting for some JRPGs, but otherwise a good month.

Meh, I keep hoping for some games even relatively close to what is offered in the EU IGC. Yet another lame month and the Rayman thing is low and whats up with the PsP games when no other region gets them? Unless something changes soon I will not be renewing my subscription and have been telling others who ask not to bother subscribing.
How can people here in the US be getting so happy over old psp titles when the EU got Mafia 2, Need for Speed , Shadow of The Colossus , Jak And Daxter an Assassin’s Creed 3
I pay 50 bucks for a year of plus. I DEMAND brand new AAA games every month darn it. Fine. I’m not going to sub to plus anymore and tell my friends not to either. We’re all going to just stop buying games and sale our PS3’s too. Now excuse me. I’m going to my corner and pout some more.
I know this is totally unrelated but its regarding drive club is the ps plus ed. and store bought copy the same cus i was wanting to get the game stop ver. but if im getting it free im at a bit of a crossroads and don’t know what to to im already at least a grand into the ps4 and not regretting any of it
Now explain why EU gets all the good AAA type games while the US subscribers get this crap? If it weren’t for the cloud saves and the fact that I got over a year of PS Plus for free from work, I would of canceled my sub long ago.
When I watched the Live broadcast of this years Gamescom the EU spokesman for PS Plus said “We strive to give Plus subscribers games that have a Metacritic score of 80 or higher”. I guess their criteria has much higher standards than here in the U.S. That seriously needs to change here too for the better. The disparity between the two regions is completely ridiculous!! You’re going to risk losing many Plus subscribers in NA if you don’t step up your game SCEA!!

Third straight month that I have subscribed to Ps Plus and I still didn’t get a single game that I don’t own (hitman, ico, battlefield, uncharted 3) or that I would like to play. In the meantime that got probably 5+ games in EU that i would like to play and own. For me this unlucky adventure with PS Plus is over. I am getting Xbox one and their gold service instead.

I think it is funny that one group of people complains about getting old psp games and another group asks for the ps1 and ps2 games to be added to the PLUS mix. I think it is great to see more psp games added to plus, although I already own GTA,LCS imo it is a great addition to the IGC. Also I am still wanting to see the Metal Gear Portable ops, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro games added to the North America PSN store for Vita.
Resident Evil Chronicles – Sure. I’ll prolly never rightly play these games, but I’ve got everything from 5 back one way or another, so hit me.
ICO – Sure, but I’ve already got it on disc, and even if SotC were included here, there’s still the little extras.
GTA: Liberty City Stories – Nah. Quick check of teh wikiz, and the only feature missing from the PS2 version is custom soundtracks. With the main series still sitting in my Steam account, I just see this as a lost [proper-]JRPG slot.
Rayman Origins PSV – Good on me, not having a Vita, though bad on Origins not being Cross-Buy. Just a month or two ’til I’ll’ve still not played the PS3 version enough to not be bummed about getting it an a practical repeat for IGC.
Galaga Legions DX – Sure. It’s a damn older title, in Store-time, innit? But, I still haven’t nabbed it. Then again, I actually don’t play these much, mesmerizing as they are to behold.
Underwhelming month for me. Definitely need to come through on the JRPG end of polls — and not “action RPGs” or “action-adventure with RPG elements” or any of that buzz, but meat-&-potatoes, standard-fare, not-SRPG molds.
And if we were getting Europe’s line-up this month…
Assassin’s Creed III – Sure, but I still haven’t gone through II or Brotherhood, and don’t have I, Bloodlines, or Revelations. Aside, I cannot not see Conner holding a coffee mug in that promo shot. Who’s he think he is, Godot?
Jak and Daxter trilogy – Yeah! Bought the first for two bucks, so I’d not even be mad. Okay, I’m still peeved at a lack of instruction booklet in the DL and the buggy Platinum (an extra week for not knowing roll-jump, a month for bugginess), but the former’s more the problem, here. PUT INSTRUCTION BOOKLETS IN YOUR PS3 NETWORK GAMES. Oh, and ADD ZOOM OPTIONS TO PS2 CLASSICS MANUALS.
Stealth, Inc. – Yep, though if I’d managed to buy it during its debut promo only a month back, I’d’ve been peevy, especially owning it on PC.
Urban Trial Freestyle – Eh? Still don’t really know what this series(?) is, but I don’t have any, so no big loss.
New Little King’s Story – Maybe. It definitely has the aesthetics of the JRPGs I clamor over, but I dunno how well it’d mesh with me. But, like Disgaea 3, it’s moot until I bite on your inverted DS.
Is there any chance that we will see psone classics like crash or spyro in plus? i been wanting to get them so if you won’t give them for free i’ll buy them.. thanks
Okay, you guys didn’t do bad this month… for a change. Not a huge Resident Evil fan, but its a nice collection. Galaga is a great game, and I’m happy I didn’t buy it earlier this month now. Lol. And, while I’m at it, I’ll give Rayman a chance later this month. Nice job this month Sony.
NOTHING FOR ME, 3x in a row!! Those past content I alread had on PC, now those games I alread have! except rayman, but I dont like this franchise!

Not a bad line up, a good deal of love for the Vita and the PS3. It’s a shame though, was hoping for another crack at Sleeping Dogs. I missed my chance a deal back by two days, do games ever repeat or are they different each time?

ICo is the ONLY offereng this month that is even remotely worthy of a download. The rest of this month is complete and utter trash. Period. How there are so many positive comments about this month is beyond me. Derp. I guess the majority DOESN’T rule in this case.
There’s only been a couple games offered this year that I was mildly interested in playing. However, EU PS+ subscribers have gotten a boatload of games that I want to play or at least try.
I’m not sure what they’re thinking at Sony by making the EU & US instant game collections so drastically different. I would understand maybe one game being different based on regional preferences, but the way it is now stinks to high heaven. Why in blue blazes are the US PS+ subscribers getting screwed all the time?
Also, I think it’s very amusing how this Morgan guy (whoever he is) seems to only respond to positive comments 98% of the time. When he actually does respond to a negative comment or someone who is not happy about the current issue, he just posts a link for Sony customer support. The same customer support that can’t (or won’t) help you in any way. It’s a circle jerk of epic proportions.

LOL how much did SCEA paid you? Or you are just blind? Everytime I go to ps plus EU, almost more than 90% of comments are satisfied and happy with EU plus service. It’s obvious US suck since june only Virtues Last Reward is the only Retail games for vita.
Very terrible service for those who owns a vita. 4 months in service all I get only psp and indie. And a huge slap in the face when US selling it rayman in vita for 7$. Just 2 weeks later after many ps plus US subscriber grabs the discount, they put it in IGC.
WTF the only game on here worth playing is GTA and its not available for the PS3. If your only going to through one decent title in there at least make it available to the main console of your franchise.
Well, i don’t agree with people saying “Don’t get more fighting/shooter/psp/etc on PS Plus…” what’s the problem if i like fighers? or if i have children that play child’s games… or if i want PSP games? i bet there is a lot of persons that uses PS+ on PSP like me, it’s not cause a game is old that it isn’t worth playing.
Give US Batman Arkham City on October because of the release of Arkham Origins! And Dishonored because it was release a year ago and I’m fine ! Just sayin’ to you Sony!
